We had a lovely stay last weekend for my grandsons 3rd birthday. My room was spacious and very clean with a modern bathroom. The food at breakfasts and dinner was really good with plenty of choice. Unfortunately we left a bag of toys in the garden and my iPad in my bedroom. However, the staff went above and beyond locating them, packaging them up and posting them back to us free of charge. What absolutely amazing customer service. Thank you so much to all concerned ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I cannot recommend the hotel and staff at a The Station Hotel enough! We stayed last weekend for my son’s third birthday. The room was wonderful and very spacious for the three of us. Everyone could not be more accommodating of us We accidentally left the toys we bought sun his birthday in the garden, and my mum left her iPad in her room. The hotel staff were amazing and found all the items + posted them back us! Theo had an amazing time and is so happy to have his toys back ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Superb Sunday lunch at a reasonable price point, plus the staff and the room were both great.

Wonderful stay with my daughter. Originally booked one night and had to extend last minute to two nights but no hassle to do this and staff were very helpful. Rooms were amazing. Clean, comfortable with tea and coffee etc. Breakfast choices were great and good choice of hot food and snacks in the evening. Friendly helpful staff, definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.

Great bistro bar with beautiful decor and lovely garden. Chicken Katsu Burger was amazing and friendly staff member made sure to check with me regarding my dietary requirements before he prepared my meal. My boyfriend enjoyed his pie too and we felt well looked after at the Station Hotel. Friendly staff and perfect place for a local date night on a school night. We are coming back soon!

Amazing place, brilliant staff and service, and immaculate almost hospital grade cleanliness — highly recommend a visit.

The quality of the food is lovely you can tell its all homemade (pesto, the mint sauce, the yorkshires etc). BUT on the other hand me and my two friends do not feel like we got treated fairly/as equal to the other customers which is a shame because we really we're talking about coming back again.

Great covid arrangements, lovely environment, and a wonderful ploughman's lunch — what's not to like?

The station used to be great — the staff try hard but the cost of average pub food is more expensive than bars and restaurants in central London. A burger, no fries is £12-13 for a 4oz ordinary food item. £18 for Sunday roast. Cost Vs quality scores a 3/10.

We stayed at the Station whilst visiting London. Great pub and hotel. Lovely rooms although I hear they are having a make over like the pub itself has had.
Friendly staff who according to my son make the best Mocca ever.
The food looks and tastes great. We were late back one night so they even made us a take away pizza for the room. We had the vegan margarita thin and so tasty which also got a massive thumbs up from my son.
It’s so quick and easy to get in the city from The Station we will definitely be staying again soon. We didn’t have time to stay for the Sunday lunch but have heard they are legendary… next time.

Chill place, lovely staff.

Although the staff were excellent, we stayed for 2 nights & found the bed was rock hard & uncomfortable, as did 2 other guests. The food was really nice & quite a varied menu, drinks are over priced in the bar £12 for a large glass of Sauvignon, as they had run out of the Chilean make.
If you are not staying here the food was very nice!

We held a party for our daughters christening here on Sunday. It was really well organised, the staff thought ahead and gave us an area both indoors and outdoors to take advantage of the nice weather. The food was fab and the staff really helpful and attentive!

Beautiful hotel in idyllic setting. Real home from home. Staff are attentive and friendly. Our stay was made especially special by Karina who was always a step ahead at ensuring we and other guests were well looked after. Highly recommend this hotel.

We held a wake here yesterday and found the staff to be lovely, very friendly and helpful. Great selection of beers, relaxed atmosphere and nice decor. Will be back!

Fantastic place! The food is great and the staff very friendly. The garden and the new burger Shack are amazing especially for sunny days!

Gone seriously downhill. Used to be an obvious choice for a leisurely family meal. Now the food and service are decidedly average, but they’ve kept the prices high. I think the penny is dropping with the locals as it was practically empty this bank holiday, despite the sun filled beer garden. … Better pubs around and far better food available in HG.

To be totally honest I would rather eat at spoons. At least when the service & food is not on par you can say well for that price what do you expect!

Great value Sunday roast options. We didn’t have a reservation but managed to nab a table. I chose the the roast pork loin in apple sauce served with a huge Yorkshire pudding, crackling, potatoes and vegetables. The portion of pork was generous too! It went well with the sauce.

I like the location and the wooden floor… the tables with candles but it is a bit of a facade as you only have yo look at how staff presents itself and the cleanliness of the bar I have found the floor with food and grime worthy of the greasiest greasy spoon and the bar maid with long untied fluffy hair that was touching food and lemon and lime slices to mention just a few health hazards. My chips came with mayo and ketchup in a small container that looked and felt warm to the touch with the sauces that were visibly 'sweating and about to form that shiny surface layer… do I need to carry on? I am bored already and also I am very sure I will never go back!

Nice boutique hotel, within the Hither Green neighborhood of London. EASY transit options, as the train is less than a block away. Cafes, convenience stores, and small restaurants are all around the hotel. There is a Pub downstairs from the hotel that has great food and beer! We stayed in the Underground room, and it was just right. As with most European hotels, the rooms are not large but since we only are there to bathe and sleep… it was perfect. The only downfall was there is no air conditioning, and it was very warm while we were there. Other than that, it was a great experience, and great price.

A well thought out interior design, clean, comfortable, up market for a look pub. Genuinely friendly staff, great atmosphere and serves food too. Highly recommend a visit or function there.

Corner pub by hither green station. There are rooms above and a big yard out the back of the building, perfect for sunny days. The food is really good sometimes. It really depends on what chef is working in the kitchen. Stick on the basic items on the menu like pizza and burgers as the rest is risky when the main chef is not there. Chicken wings are really good.

Great local! Staff are reallocated friendly with a good selection behind the bar. Food is good though feel it's a little pricey. We go to the weekly quiz on a Thursday which is lots of fun and has a great atmosphere. Also a dog friendly pub.

As our local we’ve been here plenty of times and had a good time, unfortunately we’re now looking for a new local. Really quiet in there but still took an age for the food to arrive. In the time it took for us to get our mains the table next to us had ordered and finished their starters and Mains and had paid their bill. We weren’t the only table with slow service but upon asking to cancel our order were told that we would have the price of our food reduced and the food would be out soon. The food eventually came, but when it came to pay we only received free drinks (not much) and a discount we would have got anyway and were told there was nothing else that could be done. If we’d left when we threatened to we would have saved our money and salvaged what was left of our evening, but as it was the whole experience left a very sour taste in our mouths. I don’t think we’ll be returning.

A roast dinner at the station hotel is a taste sensation. The roast was cooked to perfection, probably up there in my top 5 for roasts. The chicken was succulent and the gravy was so delicious. My friends enjoyed their beef roasts too. Thank you chef, whomever you are.

One of the best pubs in the area. We don`t have many great pubs as the station hotel around. It is well managed, food is good and they have great choice of beers. Summer garden is also great.

When I visited early last week I was impressed with the range of real ales and other pint measure drinks. A vast display of wines and spirits on 'old type" wooden shelving added to the ambiance. An extensive menu and pub garden were very inviting. The staff were very polite and helpful. Well done, I will be back.

Good range of beer, good menu with reliably good food. Burgers are great. Toasted sarnies excellent for lunch. Get a South London card for a 20% discount. Lots if nice spaces to sit and now big screen football.

The room was nicely appointed, kettle, tea, hot chocolate, instant regular and decaf coffee, creamer, instant porridge and a few muffins. A lovely towel warmer in the bathroom as well made the towels welcoming after a shower. The bed was quite comfortable. The heater was not working for us, and needed to be reset, but there is a 24 hr phone number to call posted on the entrance, as well, there is contact info in the "survival guide". The team there will do whatever they can to right anything that isn't working correctly, this is what our experience has been. A special thank you goes out to Stephanie who reached out to us after we left, to check in regarding our stay. We would stay at the station Hotel again next time we're visiting.

Had Sunday lunch here last weekend with my parents. It was my first visit but had heard good things from our NCT group. Overall I was really impressed. We all had roasts, and I had the rib of beef. A sign of a good pub roast, for me, is the potatoes. So often pubs overcook or reheat them so they are dry and cloying, but the potatoes here tasted home made and were great. Overall portion size was great, good gravy and I really appreciated the home made Horseradish sauce. Desserts were pretty decent too. This is a big pub, and on a Sunday is bustling. I liked the atmosphere and the selection of beers on is not too bad too. Definitely one of the best places for a Sunday lunch in the area. Knocked off a star because the toilets could do with a refresh.

Usually really good — yesterday we had a poor experience! Maybe a new Chef? My friends Toast was burnt with the pate — then the poached eggs with the smashed avocado & smoked Salmon were hard, we sent them back and when the new ones came out the whites were not even cooked and ran out all over the plate. We were told to choose something else as they couldn’t guarantee to cook them to our liking! We ordered a falafel burger and they were well over cooked! We gave up at this point! The portion of ice cream was like a teaspoon full — we were so disappointed as the restaurant is normally lovely. The meal cost us £63! Extortionate for what we were able to eat!

Great hidden pub in the back streets of Hither Green. Good atmosphere, if you like to catch up on sport they have a huge screen and TVs. I visited on Sunday lunchtime just for a drink but I need you go back to eat their roasts as they looked amazing and the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen! It's a big pub and it's got a good vibe about it, I can't wait to try their food and write another review.

A nice pub. Good atmosphere in the evenings and weekends. A well pulled pint and decent cider on tap. Often go for a burger which is tasty and reasonable value.

Recently restored pub and hotel convenient for Hither Green Station. The pub has a good vibe and serves a good range of draught beers and cider. The bar meals are also of good quality. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable and breakfast is excellent. The staff are welcoming and very efficient.

I used to live at HG back in 1998… since then I've seen this pub transform from boarded windows to what now is for me the coolest local pub in London. Friendly staff, very good community feeling at day and nice and relaxed atmosphere at dark… good sitting area, lavish restaurant takes space but worth it… ADVISE IS YES.

Excellent! The room was spotless and looked to have been recently refurbished. The facilities in the room were perfect and the bed was clean and comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again should the need arise, and would certainly recommend to anyone.

Ideal place to have a few beers or eat something in good company. With a typical English Pub.

Great hotel with very reasonable rates. The room was large, clean and airy. Is above/part of a pub so can be a little noisy — but I would happily stay there again. There is a train station directly over the road, but we took taxis into Greenwich several times while we were there and that wasnt an expensive option — so getting around is easy. In terms of the pub itself, it was lovely and friendly and the breakfast I had in the mornings (in the large dining area) was delicious and competitively priced.

Cosy room stocked with teas hot chocolate and porridge. Bed was large and comfortable, nicely decorated, carpets well-vacuumed, bathroom extremely clean. I was initially escorted to a room which was judged not fit for occupation by the concierge and so was immediately ushered into another, I was impressed! Overall loved the feel of the place and the pub restaurant downstairs was very welcoming.

I use to go to this pub for years! It had a real amazing atmosphere about it, food and drink was well priced and they use to show champions league football! It use to be wonderful! But now it has become an expensive over priced pub! I ordered a burger and chips and received a tiny burger a bun with a small bowl of chips for around £11-12! The guy who served me even had the gall to say 'enjoy! '. Roughly half the portion and twice the price! Complete rip off! Furthermore, a while back I also enquired about champions league football as I was passing by on my bike where I was very aggressively and rudely informed not to bring my bike near the entrance… the manner was I couldn't care less if you don't come in… this pub has lost its soul! Become super expensive for the location and as a result it seems to be a lot quieter then before! What a shame! I won't be spending my money in this pub ever again! Whoever the management is, I have nothing positive to say!

I wish this place was better, it's the only place around and it's decidedly average. The positives are it's big enough to get a seat and it's family friendly. But the staff are more interested in themselves than customers, the food isn't very good, pub food can be done well but this is very average. My wife and I love pubs but we don't love the Station. It could be really good. But it isn't.

Been twice. Great service, great food. Seriously, try the BBQ chicken wings and the pulled pork. Really something else. They have no problems going the extra mile for you and creating a custom meal to suit your dietary requirements, which I really appreciate, as I'm trying to stay away from carbs.

Very comfortable room. Clean and spacious, breakfast provided in the room. Only issue was that having been out all day and coming back to our room around 8pm we found the door unlocked. Anyone could have gone upstairs to the rooms, there is no one overseeing who goes upstairs. Not Saturday Station Hotel people.

My friend recommended that I visit the station hotel for their Wednesday evening steak night I had such a relaxing evening that I visited again this evening with a colleague, but just for a snack and drinks. What a fantastic time we had on both occasions. The atmosphere was out of this world with plenty of space inside and outside. Families brought along their children, couples romanced and the lads were lads, but in all that time everyone was respectful of each other. You were able to have a conversation and still be heard, now that is rare. I would definitely check it out the Wednesday special is excellent with less than £30.00 for a meal and bottle of house wine.

Wonderful cosy place… Whole family is welcome even the dog. Food was terrific and staff was very friendly.

Favourite local place for the breakfast! Been here so many times and will definitely come back. Also tried some Italian pizza and it was quite good. However, their fish and chips is just delicious! So fresh, one of the best in town. Prices could lower but the atmosphere (old furniture, spaced out so that you don't feel like you are eating in the crowd and can have that conversation just the two of you) pays off! Update 3 month after — I changed my rating from 4 to 5 starts just because these guys are amazing. They recently redecorated the restaurant/pub and it looks great! Their food never disappoints you and o actually feel bad because I should actually be on a diet… It's too hard when they are so close!

Good location. Nice place to eat and talk. Friendly, helpful service. Generous portions, healthy options, reasonable pricing and value for money. Fish and chips was lovely as was the pumpkin ravioli. Free parking in surrounding roads after midday.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The room was so comfortable and spacious. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The bar is also excellent. Really good food and a nice drink selection. I will definitely stay here again.

Recently renovated again, no idea why, they must have needed a cash write off. Looks great, but the service is the worse I've seen it in the 8 years I've experienced as a local living less than 100 yards from it. All the money seems to have gone into appearance and nothing left for staff. Myself and 5 other patrons stood at a 30% empty bar while 1 of the 4 staff took turns polishing glasses, after 20 minutes waiting I left. I even cancelled my dinner order. It seems luck of the draw, the 1 beer I was able to get only took 5 minutes waiting. Many others reporting a similar experience.

Good food but luke warm burger and chips, burger patty was skinny. Ravioli starter tasted good but cold, however friendly service albeit slightly slow… needs more attention overall average pub but spacious and chilled out setting. Never stayed here so cannot comment on the rooms.

Recently renovated — even though it feels like only a few years ago it was last renovated — you're sure to receive a friendly welcome. Being about the only pub in Hither Green, the pub takes full advantage — so the prices won't be the cheapest. Nevertheless, a useful place to stop off on the way home from work!

My least favorite pub in all of London. I used to live 200 yards from it so I would have loved to a good pub next door. The service is terrible. The food worse. Every few years I give the place another chance thinking things will be different but you know what every time a go it is a bad experience. Don't take kids here during the weekend because they likely to go unfed or worse fed a raw burger. Cannot understand why this place is so busy. Maybe we are unlucky but I would rather walk a couple of miles for any other place.

The pub area needs more attention from management. Got tired of waiting to be served when the bartenders were serving people that arrived after me… Just left and went to another pub.

I've stayed here a few times now and will be returning throughout April for work. Ideal if you're in the city as it's just a 20 minute train journey into central stations for around £4 each way. Rooms are smartly decorated, clean and reasonably priced. Pub is always busy with a lively atmosphere. Restaurant serves the standard selection of food. Steaks are to die for, so is the pie oh and the pizzas. The seafood platter is also a favourite of mine. In fact all the food is good! Worth a visit.

The interior of the building has obviously been renovated in the not too distant past as everything looks clean and smart. This extends to the guest room which was most contemporary in design. Price is very reasonable by London standards. The menu choices in the restaurant weren't all to my liking however.

Gets a little too crowded at times. The focus on being family friendly creates a confused atmosphere. Certainly cosy and well stocked.

Great hotel! Rooms are cozy and furnished nicely, the en suite bathroom was very nice. Clean and tidy plus the staff were obliging when I asked if I could check out later than advertised so I got a nice lie in! Only minor issue was the noise outside, I'm a light sleeper and could hear the planes overhead but that's an issue for the area in general. There are two very nice restaurants close by (Burnt Ash Hill) if you don't fancy the food here.

Ales good, atmosphere and decor nice, price ok but bar service almost unbearably inefficient and, depending who serves you, impolite if not plain rude.

Really poor service. At the bar, no idea. Food used to be a lot better. Gotten a little better of late for food but the bar service (particularly of an evenning) has gotten even worse!

Amazing Hotel! Stayed in Room Number 16 and it was amazing! Clean, Modern, Tidy,! Bed sheets where changed everyday and new towels also. The pub its self is very nice food was amazing alot to choose from and the staff are very helpful and very friendly towards you :) Would recommend it to anybody. The hotel is right next to the train station which is handy for going into London which takes around 20-25 mins to get to London Bridge. Will definitely be visiting again if I can 5****+.

Food is generally good, nice pub and beautifully decorated. However the service when eating there is quite poor and the toilets always smell dreadful.

Very ordinary food, particularly considering the price. Staff are disinterested in service. Also surprisingly hard to find a seat.
