We stayed here for 6 days during April and May 2015. Overall the stay was good we only had a few issues. The hotel is in a fantastic position close to Westminster bridge and easy access to the tube from both Westminster station and Waterloo. We stayed in a studio room which was large with a good sized bathroom, not the best water pressure but was alright considering water pressure in the whole of the UK is awful. The bed was a good large size. We had a city view and could see the London Eye. Unfortunately the stay was destroyed by a couple of things. Firstly, the TV in our room had really poor reception. The digital reception kept breaking up to the point where you couldn't even watch it. We complained about this numerous times over our stay and nothing was done to fix it. They had no explanation as to why it was so bad and didnt offer to move us until our last night when there was no point. We don't watch a lot of TV during our stay only at night when we like to sit down and relax after a long day of sight seeing. Secondly, when I made the booking I requested a late check out, which I knew I had to pay for, of 5pm as our flight back to Australia wasn't until 9:30pm. There was no mention of this when I checked in so a couple of days later I asked guest services and they told me they couldn't guarantee it and that I needed to ring the morning of check out but they would make a note on my file so it could be seen that I wanted it. I rang that morning and was told our room had already been allocated to someone else and we couldn't have late checkout because they were very busy. I was upset but accepted I couldn't do anything about it. When we went to check out the girl asked us how our stay was and we told her our complaints especially about the late check out, she had a look in her computer and said there was a person allocated to the room but she could move them and we could have late check out. To say I was angry was an understatement. We found that our experience was bad from the beginning and we think it stemmed from the fact we didn't put down an 'authorisation' when we checked in as I had already paid the accommodation in full before we left Australia so they didnt feel like giving us the service. Most of the staff were friendly and we would probably stay here again because of the location and quality of the hotel. It was just those two things that brought down our experience.
