Thank you all at The Admiral Rodney. I had one of the best meals ever, whilst attending a large family memorial gathering. It was truly exceptional. Washed down by the excellent local ale. And the staff were all kind, welcoming and very professional. A wonderfully creative chef. Everyone’s food was excellent. A marvellous evening was had by all. Many thanks.
Unwelcoming atmosphere all of a sudden. Always greeted by the lovely assistant manager Amy. She always provides 5⭐️ service. Unsure as to why all of a sudden last night was a bad experience. Tables were dirty. Service was slow. Food was sub par which for a beautiful countryside pub you would expect the best for them to stand out. Not impressed.

Just had an amazing meal here the other night. We had a smoked salmon appetizer with beets that was fantastic. The prawn appetizer was amazing as well with a great sauce to dip your bread in. The main course was a 10z steak that was cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing. It was seasoned beautifully and had mushrooms, a giant tomato, a great peppercorn sauce, and chips as a side. We ended our meal with sticky toffee pudding which was probably the best I'd ever had. Also the service was great which is a bonus. I highly recommend dining here!
