My daughter and son-in-law were married here last Friday. Ros the wedding planner and all staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure it was a beautiful day and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are great, clean and comfortable. The food was amazing too. Wonderful hotel and gardens, perfect for photos. Very highly recommended.

Sadly very quiet because of COVID but a very comfortable establishment with lovely friendly staff.

Great afternoon tea! Three types of sandwiches, three types of cakes and two scones each! All delicious and great, friendly service too. Highly recommend.

We had lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids, with the half price gov deal.

What a wonderful take away service to offer in these difficult times — the ‘take away’ was amazing. Beautifully cooked and the staff are a credit to your company. We have a afternoon tea for later as well, thank you for making Mother’s Day special and unique. We will be back!

I visited recently with my wife to be due looking at possible wedding venues in the area & hoping to come away with a wedding brochure. However the receptionist Angie who greeted us went above & beyond & really sold the venue to us giving us a guided tour & dedicating some of her valuable time to us. Never have I witness someone go out of there way to help upon visiting a venue unannounced & I couldn’t be more impressed with Angie who was a superstar for us.

We had a baby shower at the venue today that we had to delay as the baby decided to arrive 4 weeks early on the original date of the baby shower. The staff at the venue have been really accommodating. The food and service today was great.

Food was soggy, then breakfast took an hour and was not cooked properly, then was told 5minutes, which turned into 20minutes still no food so we left without being fed.

Lovely stay and really nice staff. Very cosy.

We had our wedding at Chiseldon House and want to say, brilliant staff, what stunning food and beautiful setting. Cannot fault anything, it seemed as if they even had control over the weather (glorious sunshine). Again cannot thank the chef and Lindsay the wedding planner enough! (Must ask for Lindsay) Many thanks for such a wonderful day Kirsty & Jamie.

Very poor MothersDay service. Waiting staff showed no intuition and tried to clear tables when some of my party were still eating. When we needed one of them though, they were no where to be seen, or deliberately ignored our requests. Small badly cooked portions. The vegetarian option was just Half a cauliflower covered in cheese sauce (Cost £32.50) the pork was just fat, the beef likewise, the vegetables were non existent and not enough to feed 6 people. There were 3 mothers on the table and only one gift. We were told it was o e per table and we would have to share. All in all a really bad experience. We did complain and were given a discount, but we’ll never visit there again. Avoid at all costs.

Celebrated my mums 90th birthday today with afternoon tea for 20 the food was amazing service was great they made my mum feel very special for the day. Even helping in the car park because of the snow and ice Thankyou to you all at Chiseldon House keep up the good work!

Afternoon tea £51 (£17each) cosisted of 6 finger sandwiches, 6 scones a very small portion of cream, 9 small bits of sponge cake between 3 people! Not good value at all. Poor service. Won't be going back ever.

Nice place visually. Not so sure about the service. Was invited for a weding. Only 3 stars because of small bar area. Did not have a chance to look at the rooms. Rating based on the overall feel of the place.

Both my husband and myself enjoyed afternoon tea at the hotel it was a surprise anniversary present from my daughter and son-in-law and in the evening they had booked a room for us overnight. The staff could not have been more helpful. In the morning we had breakfast served to us by a lovely young waitress and she was very pleasant and very helpful the breakfast was lovely.

Had a wonderful time today having afternoon tea for 3. Sat outside in the sun. Beautiful views, food was delicious and staff were great. Will be booking again soon.

Attended the High Tea which is advertised. Although the food was fresh and the waitresses attended to all our needs 1 minuscule sausage roll each (for the selection of savoury items) was a bit of a con and the restaurant was very cold.

Friendly establishment, unfortunately I can't comment on the rooms as was there as a function. The buffet was good, but no real ales everything is Keg or bottle.

The staff were all really friendly and couldn't do any more to make the stay pleasant. We went for afternoon tea and whilst I thought it was quite expensive it was all absolutely delicious and the variety of teas available was very impressive. Even catered for my father who is lactose intolerant and supplied him with a variety of tasty alternatives at the same cost. Would definitely go back!

Had my wedding here now can't stay away great staff and always ready and willing to help.

Looks beautiful but it was cold when we first got to our room. It took a while for the radiators to heat up. Also, the room we stayed in had the noisiest plumbing ever. The taps screeched and we were afraid to use them late at night. Very disappointed with dinner in the evening. We ordered steak which came with fries. The fat they'd been cooked in tasted awful — definitely not fresh, it needed changing. The staff were very polite and helpful. The bedroom was gorgeous with a super king-sized bed, a sofa, large TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely sized en — suite bathroom with robes and slippers provided. The views of the gardens were stunning. It's an amazingly beautiful venue for a wedding.

Attended a private lunch with family. Food and service were both impeccable and the atmosphere is excellent for a relaxed social dining event.

Excellent stay for three nights plus an 80th birthday tea party. Hotel very good, food and organisation very good. Staff extremely good, friendly and accommodating.

We were extremely fortunate to get a last minute, off-season booking at Chiseldon House Hotel on our late evening drive from Heathrow to our home in Cornwall. We selected the hotel because of its proximity to the M4 and the fact that it had a restaurant. All the staff were warm and welcoming, the meal delicious, and the Executive double room we stayed in large, comfortable, immaculate, and beautifully decorated and furnished. In the morning we were delighted to find French doors opening onto a balcony which (despite foggy Autumnal weather) gave a beautiful view of the front garden. Our biggest surprise is the 3-star AA rating for in every respect Chiseldon House surpassed some 4 — and 5-star rated properties we have stayed in.

We attended my cousin's wedding and the venue and setting was stunning. The food was incredible and served to us very professionally and efficiently. The room was turned round for the evening reception very well. The only thing that detracted from the evening was the bar staff not knowing tgeir drinks and not really knowing what they were doing. Apart from that, we had an absolutely incredible day.

25th august 2:30 Traditional afternoon tea. Present from friend. Waited 1hr to be served. One person on duty barman, waiter and cleaner. Turns out he's actually the gardener. God help who the rest of staff are? Very Very disappointed, especially for friend who purchased this gift in good faith, definitely will not recommended.

Highly recommend chiseldon house lovely food excellent service and a very nice setting beautiful gardens set back from the main road.

Food was decent enough, service friendly but slightly unsure. A drinks menu helps before knowing what you can drink etc. Food was nice though.

A little in the middle of nowhere, but if you have a car it's easy to get to! Beautifully decorated inside, although the drinks are a little pricy!

A great place to say, the rooms are lush, staff are very friendly and helpful, polite can't do enough for you, food is great too. Me and my wife had a great time there we have been here for a few times now and it's always a great place to say keep up the good work and thank you to all of the team.

I had the pleasure of a night here early in February. The Palladium feel of the house is breath taking and one is left feeling very special. I'm sorry I missed out on Valentine's night. The staff are relaxed yet professional… the food exceptional. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this establishment both for nights out and for Afternoon tea. Like any old mansion there are secrets and in this case how the rear of the house integrates into suburban housing. I was overcome emotionally by the place and next time I visit will keep those safely tucked way. Congratulations to the Manageress and her Team. Roy Darkin

Hired a meeting room for a training session with clients. Easily accessed from J15 of M4. Staff very attentive; excellent service prior to visit and while on site. Food very good, excellent selection for a light lunch. Would recommend.

Breakfast was good. Free wireless throughout the hotel.
Conclusion: If the shower works this hotel is recommended. :-)
