We had a fabulous sleep.
A lovely bright airy spacious bar/ lounge area. Oh ant the restaurant is exquisite.

Booked our wedding, covid prevented this tried to move it to next year, they put their prices up and can not justify it. Changed their menu, Won't refund deposit although they were no longer able to do the contract.

Nice rooms, excellent restaurant, staff lovely & a nice bar too!

Actually went there for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. The staff were warm friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing as always. Service was attentive and helpful.
Very much looking forward to getting back again post lockdown

Abit of a late review We got married here in March and we couldn’t fault the hotel and staff they made our day perfect they couldn’t do enough for us the food was amazing all our guests commented on how lovely the food and the day was can’t thank you enough for making our day so special xx.

Awful service and dirty rooms staff are very rude.

Really lovely evening celebrating a family birthday. Food was lovely and a reasonable price for a special occasion. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and we all had a lovely evening.

Went there on a lunch stop with the BMW owers car club during a tour out, nice hotel, friendly staff, great food. Thank you for the coffee, I was only joking about the pint of Brandy in it to keep the cold out.

My. Daughter and I shared a relaxing overnight stay, with wonderful, friendly service.

We hired a function room at The Stones Hotel to celebrate our parents Golden Wedding Anniversary yesterday. The food was fantastic, the staff yesterday went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. Ellie, the events coordinator, was great in the run up to our event and made sure everything was set up perfectly for the day, especially as it was a surprise party. Thank you all so much, our parents had the most fantastic day. Roger and Michelle.

We attended an anniversary party there. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful, providing a dairy-free plate for my son and making sure everyone was ok. Well recommended.

Really nice comfortable hotel with great rooms. The staff make the hotel, everyone so helpful and the restaurant is really good.

Was told that it was my fault by the waiter that there is no food at the breakfast buffet because there is 2 weddings going on (60 people) and only 1 person in the kitchen. when going to complain at reception. The receptionist brought him over and said I probably won't get a refund because its not their problem and no one can help me. If waiting for everything over than beans for 20 mins is not a problem, and 20 people queuing up for 12 sausages/ bacon to come at any given time I don't know what is! Literally a free for all. Very bad customer service as well as not being able to get breakfast which is £15 a head.

What a lovely afternoon tea my family and I had today for my Mum’s 70th Birthday. Great service, delicious food with lovely presentation. Will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went to the Stones Hotel for my birthday. The food was fantastic, even as a vegan I had choice! Exceeded all expectations!

Attended a 40th birthday party, we all ordered our food well in advance and were told to be there to eat at 7pm. We finally got our food @ 8.45, 45 minutes after the first table was served and the food came out dried up and cold, when we complained, the duty managers Excuse Was that 2 staff called in sick! No one came in to say there would be a delay or even given us some bread to eat whilst we waited. We will not be returning X.

We had our Christmas party last night and it was brilliant! Very well organised, food was delicious and hot. Tables were decorated beautifully and the staff were great! Think we will be back next year Thank you for a wonderful night.

Ended up staying at the hotel due to having no heating and hot water. I have to say I cannot find fault anywhere. The food is absolutely amazing and really good value especially for the portion sizes, the staff are polite, friendly and extremely accommodating. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are quite comfy. They turnt a rubbish situation into a good one and I will defiantly be coming back!
Although don’t drink the bottled water in the rooms at £10 a pop.

Absolutely terrible, they wouldn’t give me my money back as I had to leave through no fault of my own, after I had paid for my room and never used the room but wasn’t aloud to be refunded. Wasted £90. Would NOT recommend!

Great hotel! Food excellent! Comfy rooms with all mod coms, good staff and a great breakfast, not overpriced, outside area to have a drink would go again.

The Hotel looks Nice on the outside, and the interior is modern, but. This was the smallest twin room (302) we stayed in forever. The room was hot, noisy (located on the front, a lot of traffic passing) and the springs in the bed were verry uncomfortable. Most surprising, when calling directly they had no room, but via booking they did. Strange. 2 points, because it was clean and the friendly staff at the bar.

A lovely place it will I am sure when the development is finally done it will be 5 star. A great meal although service was a little slow and needs work.

Looks nice and some of the staff are excellent. Although we were a largr group they hadn't planned and so the food was very slow to arrive. The burgers are lovely but the fish and chips less so. Some of the rooms clearly need some work (a colleague had no hot water at all) and the Wi-Fi is free but rubbish signal strength. Not the end of the world though.

Great location and fantastic service with a wonderful breakfast, but was bitterly disappointed that the shower in our room had no cold water, so the shower was to hot to use. We spoke to them about it but even by the second night it was not sorted. Really difficult for working when you can't have a shower. The staff did offer to allow us to use another room, but we needed to make a meeting, and they would have shifted us but we arrived too late at night the second night for it to be done.

Possibly the best hotel I have stayed at for a long time, or possibly ever! As you enter it feels and smells new. The vast areas of carpeting are so soft underfoot. A nice size room (same luxurious carpet) nicely furnished. A super shower room with good size shower cubicle. Extra large towel. Recieved a warm welcome at the reception. I was reminded that I had booked room only but could still order breakfast. I explained it was a work trip and I would be leaving early each morning. With a smile I was told that breakfast is served from 630. I thought this was great as so often hotels that cater for business trips start breakfast at 7 or 730. Unfortunately I still had to decline as following doctors orders I'm on a diet. Good selection tea coffee and hot chocolate. These plus the kettle were in a nice cabinet. Unfortunately kettle lead was caught up and I couldn't retrieve it. On my way to reception I met a young guy wearing Stones apparel. I explained the situation to him and he cheerfully helped me. Spacious car park. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Very modern with great decor. Disappointed in the breakfast running out of food and not enough seating for diners!

A tad pricey but nevertheless very good friendly service and very clean.

Very comfortable. Food was good. Staff very polite and helpful. If I have one gripe, it would be the bar prices. Very very expensive.

Recently refurbished so looks classy but scratch a little below the surface and it appears to have been done with cheap and poor quality building materials. Looks amazing right now but I can't imagine it will be so nice in a year or two's time. The locally brewed "Stones" beer is great as is the menu. The food is very slow to arrive but worth waiting for. Very good, just sadly not amazing…

Great hotel, clean, comfy very friendly staff. Very close to great dining restaurants in Amesbury, so we didn't sample the hotel menu. Will definitely try it next time as we definitely are going back to The Stones for another visit. Well worth it.

This has to be the worst food I have ever had. The vegetables were still frozen, turkey was dry, the roast potatoes nearly broken my teeth. Followed by cheap ice cream that has bits of ice in it and some weird looking cheesecake that my 9 year old could have done better. Gross! The chef was either high or lied on his CV. Complained to the manager along with other guests. His response. Well I don’t really know what to say. Was the service ok? … …
staff were spilling hot food onto military mess dress. Totally embarrassing. If you want to feed wedding guests, you’re better off going to McDonald’s. I’m not sure if they were just unable to cater for over 180 people or just had an off day, but I won’t be wasting my time or money finding out.

Went to the stones hotel for my husbands christmas due. At first it seemed pleasant and very modern. Then thats where the 2 stars end. Drinks are very expensive. We had a christmas turkey dinner and the turkey was very dry, the sprouts were like balls of concrete. We had cheesecake for dessert and was not very nice and tasted like a moose and not a cheesecake. I found a piece of tin foil in my food and when the waitress asked if everything was okay as I told her and she laughed and walked off. I wasnt expecting another meal but a sorry would of been nice. Would not recommend it. Not good value for money.

Lovely modern hotel, the staff where very friendly. The food in the restaurant was amazing couldn't fault it well worth the money.

Clean room. The toilet door was frosted glass which was a little off-putting. Very convenient location. Try the Bridge Inn for food down the road.

Lovely hotel. Clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay here for a short break visiting Stone Henge. Near a retail park with various restaurants so really handy.

Conviently located between Sailsbury and Stonehenge, the rooms are well appointed with a magnificent shower in the bathroom. The bed at first seemed to be a bit uncomfortable, but I had a good night sleep. Ate in the resteraunt where the the food was cooked in technically perfect manner, unfortunately the meat was as tough as an old boot. Meals aside I would certainly stay there again.

This place is amazing! We stayed here for 2 nights while we were visiting Stonehenge. The room was great. Clean, spacious and quiet. The staff went oher the top to make sure we were well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again. P. S. Try the duck springrolls. Wow!

Great place, only 15 minutes from Stone Henge. Continental breakfast can be included. It's 6GBP if not. Rooms are spacious.

Lovely place, warm friendly staff, good food! Rooms are warm and comfortable with all of the conveniences you need for a couple of days away. Huge parking area's.

A pretty decent stay. Clean, though damage to the walls. Very thin walls, could hear our neighbor snoring through the whole night.

Great place, food and service is fantastic. I live in the area and it is a great place to eat just out of town and enjoy good food. The bar is well stocked. I can't comment on the accommodation but I have several work colleagues who have stayed and really rated it. Give the place a try you won't be disappointed.

Smallest beds ever, noisiest room next to some kind of heating system that started up with a bang every 10 minutes ago night. Thin walls so heard people above and either side. Heating on tropical setting but couldn't pen windows because it was too noisy. Worst night sleep. Rang reception at midnight to ask for a room change after 2 hours of noise, no answer.

What a jewel. After being let down by a previous hotel my wife and I checked in with trepidation as we didn't know what to expect.
The staff at the reception desk were wonderful and made us feel welcome. Even showing us to our room and apologising for the fact that we had to use the back stairs as there was redecoration of the the main stairwell.
The room was massive and we'll presented but like most hotel rooms if you look hard enough you can always find fault.
Dinner was what you would expect from any London restaurant. The menu is limited but done extremely well. I had safron risotto my wife had the hake. The risotto was sticky (not wet) and seasoned very well. The hake was crispy skinned but light and fluffy to the touch.
At night there was no road noise and we both had a very nice sleep.
Breakfast was traditional English eggs how you like them and a light continental.
Check out was quick and easy.
If I'm in the area again I will definitely be staying.

Just went there for a fiction. Best part of £6 for a beer. £2.50 for a come… You might as well just go to the petrol station next door. Food was rather bland. Will be using my veto if the place is recommended again for a fiction venue.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here in December last year. We had a wonderful evening and the manager of the restaurant waited on us hand and foot. Recommend the place to all our friends without hesitation. It is my husband's birthday tomorrow (3.10.16) and he has gone up north today with work so I thought I would have a family celebration at The Stones on 1.10.16. Going on our previous experience I booked a table for 5. My daughter travelled from Wales to be with us. We were shown to our table in the dining room and given our menus. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get a drink. Unfortunately the waitress we had was on her first day. Another waitress took our order after a further 5-10 minutes. The menu only had the choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 puddings. We asked if there was another menu hoping to have a wider variety as we had had on our first visit. We were told there was a bar menu but we would have to sit in the bar. We had a look at the menu but it was no better. We ordered off of the original menu. Two of us had starters which took a good while to arrive, I had soup which was lukewarm. We had all ordered the flat iron steak which was served to us one and a half hours after we had arrived. No one enjoyed their meal as the steak was really tough to chew even though our orders were for medium and medium rare. In our time there we had been able to place two drink orders as the waiting staff had reduced from 3 to 2.

We were very impressed with our stay here, particularly with the staff who from the cleaners through to the resteraunt manager were exceptionally friendly and helpfull. The hotel was spotless throughout, everything you would expect in the room and a good sized comfy bed. Evening meal was eccelent, location is in the country and convenient for Salisbury area. All in all very pleased with our stay.

Amazing place! The hotel staff were all really friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite lovely and the food in the restaurant was incredible. What more could you ask for? We're so glad that we stayed there for a couple of days! We also had our end-of-event gala in their Solstice Event Room. Everything ran like clockwork and the dinner was delightful — again, highly recommended.
