Very good very clean very comfortable lovely people.

Highly Recommend, 3rd visit cant wait for next. Rooms clean and comfortable, Breakfast a treat, Martin and Elizabeth excellent hosts.

As always the best place to stay when working down that way. Been staying there 10yrs on and off and never a bad word to say about it.

You feel welcome from the very start, room was spacious and clean, the only draw back being the shared shower. Views to the rear overlook the water and some of the front the church opposite. Located close to the centre of Hythe and the pier! Food was excellent.

Great little guest house in a quiet seaside village of Hythe. Wonderful and responsive hosts, Elizabeth and Martin clearly think about the little details but also are responsive to feedback or indeed suggestions. My room was cosy with shared bathroom facility (which was fine — with 2 others). Had plug sockets with USB ports which was very handy & tea/coffee with kettle + homemade biscuits. There is amble space to park car-either at property or just a couple of metres away in carpark (they have a metre which makes it free). There is a large waitrose, a few restaurants and takeaways within 5min walk. Finally breakfast is really a worthwhile reason on its own to visit. Home made veg option or full English with really great coffee (unusual in a place like this in my experience) + I had some lovely sourdough bread slices. There is also locally sourced honey & jam which were both to die for! I did enjoy and would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the area. It's about 20-25min away from Southampton town centre and less to the new forest 'proper'. It's also very reasonably priced.

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2016. How do you go above excellent "12 out of 10" no even higher! This B&B goes above expectations. Our room was smallish but you only sleep in it, clean and nice fresh linen. The breakfast was lovely. Fresh local fruits and cereals to choose from to start and then the breakfast "wow" well cooked and the mushrooms were fab! Elizabeth and Martin where great hosts happy go lucky and very helpful if you wanted to know something "just ask" … My wife Anita and me will definitely stay again in the near future.

My wife and I stayed at the Maples for a couple of days over the May bank holiday break. We were welcomed by Elizabeth and Martin who were very friendly and helpful.
Our room was lovely and personal with very nice facilities and little personal touches.
The next morning we were welcomed again for breakfast which was fantastic!
They were very informative about days out we had planned and even printed off tickets for us :)
We really cannot fault this place.
Definitely going back!

Me & My wife have just returned from yet another stay at The Mapels, when we arrived we was greeted with open arms as though we was family, and that is how your stay there will be, just like family, I have been to many B&Bs and none of them even come close to this one, exceptional Host, outstanding rooms, and the breakfast is to die for (with a little entertainment from Godfrey) thanks to Shirley & Godfrey for another excellent stay, we will return again in the summer.
