Welcoming Friendly staff, lovely garden, good food & peaceful can't ask for much more.

Great staff, the band had just finished at midnight, when we arrived but the room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Great landlord… James will go that extra mile to look after his customers.

Had lunch here, very nice, staff lovely, very comfortable and dogs welcome. — — — — — Got a 20% discount voucher, we think we will go back in the evening, give it a try … Went again, live music night, we got out just in time (close that). Perhaps we should have had something from the specials board. Might give it another try, prices very good and beer lovely.

Popped in for lunch, great food and friendly service.

We had breakfast at this pub and it was the least impressive of the many pubs we stopped at and a week's worth of English breakfasts. The food wasn't bad and the place was clean, it just fell below what I came to understand is the standard.

Went for Sunday lunch at the Bull last weekend which was great. My wife is dairy free and the chef made vegetables specifically for her without any butter. The waitress also was kind enough to give us some hot water so we could heat our daughters food. Very accommodating and friendly staff!

A great pub with friendly down-to-earth staff. Food is great. Had live band last visit.

Pope's in for a spot of lunch, the food was nice and the waitress was pleasent. Had a "locals" feel which was nice.

Been coming here for 25 years on and off and cannot fault the service and food is always excellent. On the occasions I have stopped overnight the rooms are always very comfortable. Would recommend.

Stayed here to attend training localy, had a very good stay, readonly priced, good breakfast and a good night's sleep.

Went in for some food. There was 5 of us in the group. We have ordered starter and main course. All food came all at once. Starter was delicious but for mains I ordered port T bone which was tough and rubbery. One other ordered a beef burger and left half of it as it wasn't tasting very well. Shame.

This is a nice pub with accommodation in the road to Southampton from Salisbury. Food is nothing spectacular, and a bit overpriced for what you get.

The music underneath my room was on til 1 am! It was so loud my telly couldn't drown it out. There was no en suite not even a sink and had to use a separate bathroom! And there was an awful smell in the room and on the landing. But the staff were lovely and would have helped if the could.

Really friendly staff and a great choice of beers. I've not tried the food but I've been told it is excellent.

Food was absolutly amazing. And very well priced considering the quality. Best meal I've had in ages. Sea bass was gorgeous as was the chicken pie! Highly recommend a stop here if your passing. The staff are professional and friendly also. Loved it!

Warm welcome and service marred by the fact that having booked through tablepouncer we were only told after we had ordered and eaten that our menu choices didn't qualify for the discount. Would like to add that we made it clear when ordering that we had used the tablepouncer service and no where on the confirmation email did it state any such terms and conditions — an email which I showed them at their request but was still charged full price. I will be sure to raise this with TP as well. Wouldn't have been so bad if the food had been worth the money but a 5 inch toasted sub roll IS NOT a baguette and my tongue is still fizzing from the amount of salt… seriously hope it's down to the salt and not dodgy tuna… I guess half an hour and I will know either way.

Dark dingy hotel said it had been refurbished. Lighting should have been made a priority food just ok nothing special. Sunday lunch offers turkey which is not from a large bird on display but a small piece of very dry meat. The pork also had separate crackling not belonging to the pork at all, not even one small part. Disappointing staff were helpful though.

Had a Groupon Voucher for brunch. Made welcome by the staff (Saturday) and had an excellent breakfast/dinner etc. Dog friendly as well. Recommended.

Amazing food, could not find anything wrong with it, kids menu is great value and big enough for an adult! With a free drink and pudding you can't go wrong! Everything is fresh and delicious. Wide range of drink alcoholic and soft, kind and friendly staff. 10/10 all in all! Defanatly worth the money!

Just had a lovely brunch at the Bull Hotel. Lovely food and pleasant helpful staff, I can recommend this place.

We were the only ones there for breakfast, but the food was good and the unlimited tea, coffee and juice was ideal.

A perfectly fine pub with a reasonable selection of drinks. The menu feels a bit like a chain pub but it's prepared well and is a fair price.

Has all the atmosphere of a pack of dry roasted peanuts. Been from bad manager to bad manager for ten years.

Very good value Cauvery, helpful staff and child friendly.
