Spent an amazing 7 nights here. Everyone very friendly and accommodating. Rooms very comfortable and bedding and towels changed daily. Breakfasts were very nice with a vast selection on the cold buffet plus an excellent menu on the cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Well over priced for standard food. No better then a bar I visited in salou for a curry.

Comfortable bed. Everything was clean and fresh. Big tv. Lots of hot water. Tea and coffee making facility in our room.
I would stay again.

Room ok evening meal? Had a mixed starter one night Second night ordered the same but got different & less. Had steak one night got chips & garlic bread second night ordered steak came with chips & salad burgers definitely not home made.

Cosy and nice place to live. The staff was helpful as well. Located on high street so had access to local restaurants and pubs.

Whilst the bed was very comfortable and breakfast good, the room is starting to show it's wear and tear. TV connection to the remote didn't work properly, think Tv's had a hard life. Hot towel rail was not electrically connected to the wall. Chair was too tall for the desk — stool was provided by staff. Then there was the noise of the cleaners and some workmen in the corridor before check out time. Could be easily better, just needs some attention to detail.

Great staff great food great rooms what more do you need.

This is a very nice hotel, very comfortable beds n nice clean.

We stayed at the Peacock Hotel for one night for a friends wedding in nearby Warwick. From the moment we got there we realised how poorly run it was and the complete lack of communication between staff members. We had emailed several times regarding an early check in because we were arriving early and the wedding was at 12.30pm. No one got back to us and it was only when we rang were we informed it would be possible. When we arrived the lady behind the desk had no idea what we were talking about because no notes had been left. We left the hotel and mistakenly left our television on (I'll come to this later) when we arrived back there was a party going on in the room below us. There was smashing glass, shouting, screaming and eventually the police had to be called. Before that we called the concierge twice to try and put a stop to it. It was only when I went downstairs to confront them myself that it ended. The truly disturbing part about it was there were two girls in the room with a two men and a woman who were all drinking and drug paraphernalia was everywhere, who could have only been 15 years old. When they left we then had to spend the next hour listening to the woman call the man a paedophile. When I alerted the night porter to this and the fact a car had pulled up to drop off what I can only imagine were more drugs, I was told he thought the must have been 18. We were then told we would be getting a refund for our terrible stay.

Clean, quiet, near public transport and restaurants, walkable.

I recently stayed for a few nights at the Peacock Townhouse Hotel and enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and comfortable and the staff at the Peacock where always friendly and happy to help. A great example of their good service was moving a family member to a downstairs room so that they where located on the ground floor. Breakfast was also tasty and plenty-full with a good selection of both cooked/non cooked food and hot/cold drinks.

Unwilling to cooperate and in complete denial that any member of staff may have taken (or accidentally misplaced during cleaning) a set of tweezers when the concern was raised. Used the tweezers on the Tuesday, by the Thursday I was unable to locate the tweezers anywhere in the hotel room, which were placed next to the sink in my room. The staff member handling the call began to sound agitated and completely refused to accept that they had been misplaced, resulting in the phone call abruptly ending. Avoid.

This place bills itself as a "Boutique Hotel", it's closer to a mediocre boarding house or B&B with scatter cushions on the bed and terrible wallpaper everywhere. I've never stayed in a building with noisier floorboards, thinner walls or more nauseating wallpaper in my entire life and I stay in hotels the world over on average three days a week. I would value a room here at £50-60 a night at most. If you're looking at higher prices then you will easily find a better room for your money within the area. Also factor in the £5 a night parking charge. Did I mention the wallpaper? I have stayed here for three nights (unfortunately booked in advance and paid for in full on arrival) in this time I have had the same duvet cover, with stains, (not mine I'd like to add), the same peanut on the floor in the corner of the room (clearly not hoovered) and two shower caps, but no hairdryer. The "award winning" restaurant was a revelation. I saw no evidence of "said award" but I suspect that, like the reviews, it was self-generated and undeserved. My "award winning" starter was followed by an equally "award winning" main. Sadly it was the "not at all nice food from a limited, bizarre and uninspiring menu award" I have found during my stay here the Queen and Castle (15 min walk, 3 min drive) and the Clarendon Arms (next door to the Queen &'Castle) which both serve fabulous British and pub food classics in an offensive wallpaper free environment.

Kinda great, but kinda disappointing at the same time. Went on a groupon deal, but was stung on the drinks. £2.50 for the equivalent of a can of coke!

Decent, no frills bed and breakfast, a few things weren't working when we stayed but the dinner was fantastic, breakfast a little slow but well cooked and plentiful once served. Great for a base for exploring the area.
