Lovely hotel, lovely food and the staff are very helpful and friendly. 5 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon.

I recently stayed here for my mini honeymoon with my husband. The hotel was lovely. The rooms were really nice and the staff were helpful and polite. The bar was great with nice cocktails at a reasonable price. The food in the restaurant at dinner was amazing and the buffet breakfast was spot on. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna are definitely worth a visit too.
I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Enjoyed a one night stay with very good evening meal and breakfast with great choices and plentiful.
Room had everything needed, was quiet and there had been a much appreciated fan installed as the weather was hot.
Check in and out were pleasant, without hitch.
In all we would totally recommend.

The mainly young staff are very attentive and helpful.
Our room was a little commercial but the bed was lovely and comfy and we didn't book the hotel for views of the Serengeti.

One night stay. Easy check in, nice room and dining room. Nice menu except there was no chips or potatoes of any kind with a £19 steak! £3.50 charge for a side order! I ordered pork steak which came with baby roast potatoes and lovely veg… for £15.50! We did ask why but no one seemed to know. We ordered wine which arrived when we’d finished our meals due to a cock up by 2 waiters. The lovely Kenya who was the duty manager came to the rescue. She is an absolute credit to the hotel and couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you Kenya. We would stay here again though.

Nice hotel. Lovely spa nice and relaxing. Not too much choice on drinks or food but what we did have was nice. No entertainment apart from a couple of tv's.

Beautiful building and grounds with great facilities. The food was lovely altho there was a mix up and mine took over an hour to come out but I won't hold that against them. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Lovely hotel. Lovely setting. Lovely staff. Conference food for vegetarians was very poor and worse for vegans. There was no protein.

It's an ok hotel but the conference food is poor. If you are a vegetarian you can pretty much forget it, the chef just puts on boiled veg and rice cheapest possible no thought to nutrition.

We have just got back from another weekend here & I would like to thank the staff who went above & beyond to help set up birthday surprises for two guests in our party. We turned up at reception with a cake & decorations galore & they didn't bat an eyelid & everything was set up as we asked. They even kept the cake in their fridge all weekend as we were too full to eat it.
We really appreciated it all so thank you.

We had a one night stay at Ettington Chase which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were lovely, the food was nice, the pool and spa were both great. Big upside was definitely the breakfast which was very nice. The only downside was that the pillows were uncomfortable for me but my partner was okay, we only had one bath towel, the bathroom was a bit dated.

Went on a course here when I was working. Room was out of this world. Breakfast was wonderful evening meal was ok. The bar stayed open for us till 3:00am.

OK it was a bit chaotic but our stay was enjoyable. Nowhere near to plug to plug the (very slow) kettle in. Asked for a heater but given a fan, then the fan was faulty. Casual place lots of men in shorts and tracksuits. Relaxed. Card to get in rooms worked! Bath smallest I've ever encountered. Don't go to the restaurant. This was late April and they were serving the autumn winter menu. Food greasy. Breakfast buffet not bad. Lots of choice except things to put on toast 4 jams and marmalade but no cheese, peanut butter or marmite. Quick easy drinks machine and very good vegetarian sausages on request. Staff all dressed smartly and hotel was listed as gay friendly. Tom was especially nice and helpful. I think there should be more lights in the drive there are lots of potholes which can be hazardous if you are walking at night. Nice place.

Good hotel that lets some of the detail escape them definitely not a 4 star hotel. It was silly things like the cheapest toilet paper you could find. The bed was good but the most horrible pillow that wants replacing spoiled my sleep. Breakfast was good yet they spoiled it again with cheap or poor quality sausages and the bacon was not the best in my opinion. Also instead of a pot of tea or coffee you had to help your self from a machine. I think this place is more geared to the corporate market than as a hotel of quality.

Just returned from Ettington chase as a group of 10 for a young 60 th birthday weekend. First impressions were lovely. The food was absolutely lovely with lots of choice. Two issues thou we stayed on the 2nd floor and two of the rooms had a stench I could only explain as sewerage. I had to empty a full bottle of dettol in both toilets and bath. The good reaction to our complain, was we could move other rooms, however as we all wanted to be on the same floor, the dettol smell was better than the initial smell, so my friends decided to stay put. Funny how the female at reception tried to explain what might be causing the smell. Being 10 housing professional and knowing if you maintain your stock you would not experience such issues, made us all laugh, but we did not elaborate. The hotel could do with a upgrade in the rooms, and some corridors, but we made it what we wanted, and just had fun. The woman as reception at 11.45 as we were leaving, needs a lesson in customer care. A little smile and eye contact goes a long way madam! Dont think we will be revisiting unless there has been an internal face lift.

Nice stay. Can get a bit noisy with weddings and conferences. Drinks very expensive. Meals nice. Use of pool and leisure facilities is good. Great location just outside Stratford.

Second time of staying here. Never had a problem and the pool gym sauna Jacuzzi are a lovely bonus. Value is excellent with them included.

Went back for a surprise short break for Valentine's after we honeymooned here 5 years ago. The rooms were clean and well stocked, the staff were very friendly and very helpful with everything we needed. As a disabled customer I found the rooms had plenty of space for a wheelchair and the hotel is wheelchair friendly throughout. We found the food in the restaurant had greatly improved and found out they have a new chef. Would greatly recommend this hotel.

Great deal, accommodation a bit dated but the restaurant food is fantastic, especially the evening meal, breakfast very good and all staff are very friendly.

Our room was rather basic in terms of furnishings and decor, but perfectly fine and clean. The indoor heated pool and jacuzzi was a bonus. Location was a bit far from Stratford-on-Avon centre.

Friendly staff. Looks clean and tidy, except the bottom of the bath in my room (though was stained, not dirty — I checked using a white towel). Does have an old feel. The bedrooms were too hot however, I had to turn down the radiator and open the window. The remote wasn't working either. I didn't get chance to use the spa facilities to be able to feedback on these.

Had a lovely weekend there. Amazing breakfast and dinner with very friendly& helpful staff. I didn't have cash with me to tip and I asked what happens if I put it on the card. They told me that they will never get it, quite disappointing as the Tronc system has become basic the last years. Some updating in the rooms would be good too, decor, heating etc.

Some parts have been done up and look great as a modern hotel should do. Standard rooms are nothing out of the ordinary, next level up are much much nicer if you can upgrade. Didn't try the food but coffee is good and staff are welcoming.

Tired rooms, miles from anywhere, no room service or bar type food so you're stuck with heavy restaurant food or having to drive for "normal" food. £12 for a glass of wine. Gym has 2 treadmills crammed into a space with a bit of kit. One surly receptionist (one lovely one too) and a restaurant manager whose face leaked his annoyance because his customers didn't focus on him.

I attended a training day at Ettington Chase. The training room and facilities are good. Free tea & coffee. Lunch was in the restaurant and there were a number of choices — food standard was reasonable. Plenty of parking.

Lovely country hotel. Nice pool, minimal gym, does have a nice Concept 2 model D. Wedding went smooth and sun shone. Great food and service. Don't put your drink down around closing time mind, they are a bit keen on the tidying away front.

Upmarket hotel some rooms are some distance from reception and you are advised to keep your luggage in the car until you know where your room is. Standard rooms are exactly that. Happily the hot water system is excellent for washing. Like a lot of British hotels the rooms are too hot and there's not much you can do about it. The pool in the leisure centre is a reasonable size but the jacuzzi and sauna are on the small side for the numbers using it. Loved the device in the sauna for adding water to the heater. Plenty of room in the car park.

Booked through Groupon. Room very basic but clean. View from our window was a brick wall. Could do more with the grounds to entertain guests. Pool was OK but a bit cold. Jacuzzi was tiny and always occupied as was the sauna. Buffet breakfast and dinner (in with the deal) was nice. Staff were always friendly and willing to help. Pictures of the rooms online looked fantastic but were nothing like what we got. Over all a nice place, aimed more at conferences, but a bit underwhelming.

We had the deluxe room in the old building which was tired looking cobwebs in numerous places, insects in the bathroom and hole in the window frame approx size of a fifty pence piece letting the light and elements shine through. I would say housekeeping and maintenance need talking to. On the plus side the staff were willing and helpful especially John on reception who discounted our room and sorted out the issues as quickly as he could. Breakfast was very good especially the Bacon and the Black Pudding.

Had a lovely stay here. Food was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. The room we had was perfect for the good deal we got. Would definitely recommend. And would stay again.

Staying two nights with a conference during the day. Check-in didn't go to plan as the booking was a corporate booking and the guys "system was slow" so couldn't see that it had been paid for so wanted a card, but eventually found it so no problems. Room was nice. Wi-Fi straightforward. Breakfast was good, asked for Vegetarian sausages which most hotels don't offer but they did so that was great (did take a while to come but they did come). Lunch was nice. Conference facilities were decent and the spa and pool added bonus. Would recommend coming back.

Ages to check in. Didn't seen to know what they were doing. Over 30 degrees in room and heated towl rail still on had to take fuse out. Ran out of fans. About 20 dead bees on the floor. Shower only does scalding hot and really scalding hot. Waited an hour for food… pretty poor. It got 2 stars because the pool was nice.

Attended the hotel for a professional development day. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable conference room and a lovely quality lunch provided. Excellent all round.

Staff are great and really helpful. Room is OK. Location is good, but it's a taxi ride if you want a drink in Stratford upon avon (which has I was fully aware of). It seemed like a lot of money for the room especially when breakfast wasn't included. The photos of the rooms on the website don't seem to resemble the room we had. Again the staff were great and can't fault them.

Amazing dinner, good breakfast. Really friendly and helpful staff. The rooms need an update, looks like they haven't been decorated for a while. Old TVs, fittings and decor. The rooms are big and well equipped. Well worth getting the Groupon deal. The swimming pool is good and the gym is well equipped.

Excellent venue with big spacious conference facilities and fabulous range if cookies and coffee for breaks. The only downside was a poor projector unit which made reading presenters material difficult.

Really nice place. I was here for a training day with work and it was a very nice location. They have great facilities for the training, as well as a fantastic lunch buffet available. Recommended.

Very spacious and hygienic rooms but for £85 per night you would have thought breakfast would have been included.

Our two days spent at this hotel have been most enjoyable Initially our allocated room was unsuitable, but this was very quickly rectified and another room provided. The service by all of the staff was polite, friendly and professional. Our evening meal in the dining room was enjoyable, with a good atmosphere and a varied menu at a reasonable price. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. The pool and sauna were very welcome. The hotel is ideally situated for the Cotswolds and Stratford. I shall certainly recommend it.

Booked an "adapted" room because my husband is in a wheelchair, on arrival we were disappointed to find that the disabled parking is close to reception but no wheelchair access to reception! Had to walk 200 yards to the wheelchair accessible entrance. We were allocated a room on the second floor accessible by lift which was fine until the lift broke down on Sunday morning and we were trapped on the 2nd floor until the manager could arrange for men to carry my husband in his wheelchair down the stairs to the ground floor — this caused a lot of anxiety and stress. We were then moved from the 2nd floor to a ground floor room. To compensate we were given a sizeable reduction in our bill Despite this the hotel was OK — clean and reasonably comfortable although in both the rooms we used the beds were too soft for a disabled person and the bathrooms were a bit small for getting a wheelchair in and out comfortably. On the plus side the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The evening meals that we had in the hotel were very good, drinks were pricey (£8.50 for a glass of mediocre Pinot Grigio wine and £3.20 for a small bottle of water) Breakfasts were quite good but toast was underdone and cold by the time it came to the table. We wouldn't use this hotel again as it really isn't up to standard for disabled access.

I loved this hotel because it has a wide range of facilitys. I think it is not a very good hotel to go to with younge children probally under the age of 11 because thier is not much for a child to do even thought thier is a swimming pool which is very clean and not too cold and the changing rooms are nice as well the rooms are amazing but the tv's mainly have up to channal 11 so you don't get many channals as well this hotel is great for buisnesses but not to much for familys and younge kids also the breakfast is amazing but the dinner is very posh so if you are fussy don't book dinner thier.

My wife and I stayed in one of the modern rooms and found the room to be excellent accomodation. Very spacious and the bed was very comfortable (which is a must if you are away from home) and bathroom was excellent. If you are looking for an atmospheric hotel then do not stay here as it is more of a conference type enviroment. However you only have to throw a stone over the boundarys of the grounds to find an excellent pub/bistro that serves both excellent cusine and has loads of hustle and bustle. I. E turn left out of hotel and its first pub on right. Easy walking distance for dedicated drinkers. Best to book a table especially at weekends if you do not want to be disappointed. Travelling to Statford upon Avon was simple and only 10 mins max away. I would definately stay here again only because of its proximity and comfort but as for hotel entertainment then dont bother.
