I’ve had the pleasure of attending two weddings at this venue, so far, and each time I have found it to be excellent. Internally, the venue is very intimate with two or three different rooms, ideal for those who want to split off from the main party room. Externally, the grounds are magnificent and expensive with games being available to guests.

Had a really lovely afternoon tea here today for my sisters baby shower. The food, in particular the scones were amazing, staff were attentive yet discreet and nothing was too much trouble. A fabulous setting for any occasion. Thanks again 😊

We had the pleasure of photographing another wedding on the 15th October at this wonderful hotel. The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning. All the staff are friendly and helpful especially the wedding coordinators who were brilliant. Would highly recommend this venue and look forward to our next wedding there.

I recently was lucky enough to win a competition here on Facebook, the prize being a 3-course meal at your restaurant. Myself & my husband visited tonight & the food was absolutely fantastic. Niamh our waitress provided great service & every staff member we encountered was welcoming & cheerful. The manager came out to say hello at the end which was appreciated & the whole night was first class…highly recommended :)

I visited Stonehouse Court Hotel for a luxurious afternoon tea with my mum, sister and two year old niece. The Customer Service was brilliant, very professional and attentive (even meeting the needs of a hungry toddler! ). The food was equally as impressive with a delicious variety of small cakes included. The hotel grounds made for a perfect afternoon walk and also back onto a small canal with swans. We will be returning.

Treated terribly by two young members of staff. Won’t return. I would not recommend this place for weddings or food. Feeling very sad 😞

We had our wedding reception at Stonehouse Court Hotel last month and it was just perfect. We had Richard running our wedding and he was absolutely fantastic. Everything ran like clockwork and the food was delicious. All staff were very professional but Richard went above and beyond to make our wedding day extra special. Thank you Richard and thank you Stonehouse Court Hotel — we will be back!

Fantastic brunch menu — the buttermilk chicken waffle stack is a must! Lovely setting, good service. Highly recommended.

We stopped off today just on the off chance when out walking the dogs and grabbed lunch sat in the garden, it was a beautiful ploughman’s and great service.

We had our daughters wedding here on the 10/04/22 absolutely beautiful setting and all staff very helpful especially Richard our master of ceremonies can’t thank him enough the day was perfect and ran very smoothly thanks to him. Would highly recommend the hotel and we will certainly be returning for another stay.

Me & my partner came for a 2 night break a could of weeks ago & we were just so impressed with this hotel from the minute we walked in the hotel staff were just so friendly & helpful, the room was really comfortable & cosy, the breakfasts were just fantastic. We so can’t wait to come back & stay here again soon. We don’t know the waitress’s names but there was a really lovely bubbly blonde girl & another lovely girl with her hair in a bun that we thought just had fantastic customer service & made us feel so welcome. Just had 2 nights at the hotel with evening meals and breakfast. Our room was amazing, lovely free standing bath and comfy bed. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and the staff were great. The bar area is very relaxing with a good selection of beverages. We would certainly stay there again. Thank you for a lovely time away.

Our stay was amazing, staff were friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, we stayed in room 3 in the Manor House and was amazing, food in the restaurant was really good, breakfast is good to start your day off, the walk along the canal is nice, our whole experience was fab we even ended up reserving a date for our wedding, we absolutely loved our stay thanks again to you all.

Super hotel. Our room no 14 was amazing in decor and fittings however it is on the 3rd floor up 36+ steps and the furthest from any services. Luckily the amazing staff carried our bags in both directions. Super service thank you.

Fabulous staff, service is excellent, they can't do enough for you.

We stayed for a long weekend near the end of Oct this year. Lovely old building, lovely friendly staff BUT the carpet in our room, near the window, was absolutely covered in weird stains! I tried ringing their reception number several times to report the problem with the carpet, but no one answered the phone.
Our room was right at the back of the extension building, therefore ringing them was the best option because I didn’t want to embarrass any other guests who may overhear us, also, if we had to take our luggage back to the reception to see them, that would’ve been more of a problem. We booked for dinner for 6.30pm, their first sitting, but our dinner didn’t arrive until 50 mins later, this was 20 mins after the second sitting of guests arrived for their 7pm sitting.
There were 3 or 4 waiting staff standing around with no food to deliver to us but they didn’t come over and apologise to us about the wait! They need to address these issues. Customers will not return if they don’t sort their problems out.

Excellent food and service, nice bar and side rooms, lovely garden and canalside walk, quirky Tower to explore.
Good venue for meetings, family get togethers etc. Oitdoor seating, plenty of parking.

Beautiful venue. We are having our wedding here, and it has been completely faultless! It’s a stunning hotel with amazing grounds. The staff are so friendly and approachable; nothing is ever too much for them!

Lovely place and location. Peaceful place. Great surroundings. Just what was needed for my husbands birthday treat.

Stayed for one night last weekend. Lovely large family room. The hotel and grounds are kept beautifully. Nice to read some of the history about the building as we were waiting for our breakfast table. Really nice breakfast. Lovely walk along the canal just beyond the hotel wall. Our son enjoyed the play area which was a nice surprise.

We call it our Sanctuary, its where we go to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, we park up at Ryeford Bridge nice walk along the canal to walk into the Stonehouse's fantastic garden area, lovely comfortable tables and seating in a relaxed atmosphere, the staff are tremendous, attentive without being intrusive, friendly welcoming, can only highly recommend, love this place 5 🌟

We had a takeaway from Stonehouse Court last night and we will definitely be ordering again! Having eaten in the hotel several times we were sceptical about the takeaway service and whether it’d be as good as the food when eating in… but it was! We ordered a SHC burger and a lamb burger with a portion of dirty fries. The food was faultless and even better that we got to enjoy it in the comfort of our home in our PJs! We cannot wait to try more from their takeaway menu and highly recommend anyone to try it and support this local business during this strange time.

Excellent hospitality and staff. Had a very good time here, liked the quirky tweed carpet! Top marks to the staff who were excellent and gave us a delightful evening. Lovely grounds around the hotel right next to a canal.

Excellent service and value in historic manor hotel fabulous ground.

The hotel itself is set within a nice location but that is all. Arrived at 3:30pm for a 2pm check in to be told room is not ready due to staff shortage which is not the end of the world but when we asked for our afternoon tea which was included in the deal we were told there are no chefs available to make it and would we mind waiting until the Sunday to have it which in the end never happen as none of the staff knew what was going on. Rooms are run down and need some attention and beds are terribly uncomfortably. Very unsatisfied guests.

I love this place ' the history, the architecture landscape & the lovely weddings. The service & restaurant was very nice as well.

Nice hotel but nothing surrounds it as supermarkets. Good for relaxing as it is so quite ideally for elder people and the staff are really nice amd friendly. Been there on buisness trip so I cannot tell much as a tourist ;)

Beautiful 16th century hotel situated in a heavenly part of the English Cotswolds. Peaceful and pretty gardens with a canal along the bottom and of course the wild birds traveling along it. Very nice food. Comfortable beds. Lovely. Friendly staff. Will definitely be going there again.

Beautifully Stone built Manour house built in 1601and now a hotel retaining all its historic charm. Beautifully grounds with modern amenities tastefully added. Excellent quality food in the Restaurant.

We booked this hotel for a romantic night away in the Cotswolds. The main building is a beautiful Tudor mansion and looked very impressive. When we checked in the receptionist directed us to our room which turned out to be a long way from the main hotel down various corridors in the garden wing. This part of the hotel looked shabby, most of the door frames were only partially painted and there was an odd smell in the air. When we eventually got to our room it was very dark and gloomy, the double glazed window was completely misted up and there were stains on the carpet. We called down to reception as we weren't happy with the condition of the room, and they kindly moved us to a room in the main hotel which was much nicer, however it did feature a toilet seat which refused to stay up which is always regrettable. After all this we needed a drink, so headed to the bar where a very stressed barman was taking a very large drinks order. This took about twenty minutes, after which the barman disappeared. A waitress filled in for him and asked if anyone needed serving, however as she was under 18 she was unable to serve any drinks after all. She informed the crowded and somewhat tired bar that the barman would return "in about five minutes". Having eventually got our drinks five minutes later, we were free to explore the hotel grounds. This was probably the highlight of the trip as the grounds were beautiful and there is a canal at the bottom of the garden.

Beautiful 16th century building beautiful grounds, the hotel gets let down though by young imature staff though very inexperienced and a lot of atitude. Drinks and food very very expensive two sandwiches and two drinks £35. The building though and grounds outstanding.

Beautiful location and in Spring and Summer it's exceptional. Not well sign posted to find making it a bit of a hidden gem. First impressions are stunning, let down slightly by being served wine in a glass with mould on the rim but it was replaced immediately as soon as I pointed it out.

Amazing dinner and amazing breakfast. Just know some rooms are in the extension out back. This doesnt dismiss from how amazing the rooms are. How wonderful the grounds and canal are. Plus the staff are amazing. Warning if you cant do stairs dont book.

I was at the Caroline suite for a workshop. Great facilities, clean, bright. Nice for for lunch too. The hotel reception area and bar is great for a drink too — lovely big open fire. Great location right on the canal.

I attended a wedding here on Valentine's day 2018 and if im honest the service was absolutely shocking! The bride spent most of the day chasing issues and problems up with the very rude manager as well as guests leaving because of the poor table service! This should of been the best day of these 2 people's lives but instead they left exhausted and embarrassed! Absolutely disgusting!

We went to a wedding yesterday it should have been the bride and grooms best day of there life but the service was terrible they got there food wrong and took so long inbetween courses that people had to leave! and some of the management was rude and when the bride and groom went to pick up there stuff from the day no one could find anything will never be going back again strongly advise to give this place a miss.

Afternoon tea was amazing, quality and quantity was fantastic. Staff made is feel very welcome and Did not rush as at all. All topped off with the open fire.

Stayed for 2 nights in room 3… One of the best rooms I've ever stayed in. Beautiful Grade 2 listed character with warm modern contemporary decor, facilities… definitely a wow factor. Can't recommend it enough and the wonderful staff, food, atmosphere… Faultless.

Beautiful House set in a lovely location. The staff were very good, looking after all our needs. Can't recommend this enough.

Lovely place to visit and stay. We stayed using the sunday special offer of room, dinner and breakfast for £99. We thought this was really reasonable as the room was nice and roomy and the bathroom huge. The meals were very good quality.

We booked a "Sunday Stopover" package to celebrate our anniversary. This included an evening meal, bed and breakfast for a set price. Our room was massive and had a great bathroom with roll top bath. It was much plusher than expected. The food was superb and the surroundings of the historic manor very pleasant. The staff were excellent — efficient and courteous. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because bits of the decor and facilities had seen better days and should really have been replaced. For example the kettle in our room was badly dented which made it almost unusable. The other issue was that when we checked out the bill was incorrect — they tried to charge us for the dinner which should have been included. They rectified the mistake without argument but they recognised that we were on a package deal when we checked in so it should not have happened. We weren't the only departing guests with incorrect bills either. It felt a bit like they were just hoping we wouldn't notice which I didn't appreciate. That said, we had a great time and enjoyed the whole experience.

Staff, rooms and food all top class will definately come back here.

Perfect place for our parents Diamond Wedding celebration. Stunning location, a hotel with character, good food and very welcoming staff.

This Hotel has the type of faded glamour that you would want in a hotel in a beautiful setting; a planned tour of the area was aborted as sitting in the garden was the preferred activity. It was a relaxing environment — the hotel has not had what you might describe in a person of a "bad face lift" — and how many more boutique hotels in the cotswolds require a pastiche depicting a city person's idea of the countryside? Having said this an observant person would notice both the discreet work and redecoration which is currently happening quietly; I imagine in the next few months all the improvements will be completed. The service is impeccable (5 * ++) and you could not wish for better care; the helpful, charming staff were not at all obsequious. Dinner was delicious and, whilst we were a party of seven, throughout our three night stay no one was disappointed by the choice on offer. Undoubtedly, the best part of the service was breakfast cooked to order — there was no wait as the focus was on your personal food rather than mass production. The final test of the quality of the kitchen had to be the sausage; they were all genuine and authentic. It was the pinnacle of a perfect stay.

The rooms, the finish and the maintenance is of very low quality despite the wonderful outside grounds and appearance of the main house. The entire hotel is in need of a full renovation immediately. The rooms have little to no ability to dampen sound from hallways or adjacent rooms. Guest arriving after 11:00 PM are certain to be heard by all guests. On the plus side, the staff are wonderful, attentive and worked very hard to over-come the general facilities. Unfortunately, I will not return unless a renovation is completed.

It's more difficult to give negative reviews, trying to be objective and not sound spiteful. We could have booked the Travelodge down the road, but this "looked better ", and only (approx) double the price. BOOK and COVER come to mind. The one star is for the building and setting. The second star, for the breakfast and staff at breakfast. It is obviously a popular wedding venue. On arrival, a joyous wedding party, filled the doorway, the lobby, in front of the reception table and the whole lounge, complete with children doing the metaphoric knee slides. We joined the queue, to be told that, the previous wedding guests had left so late none of our rooms were ready. So the room we should have had at 2pm, wasn't available until 3.40. Some guests fumed, some stoic, some philosophical. I at this point, mildly annoyed. We were going to be late for our appointment. "Sorry, take a seat", was the receptionist's only comment. It got irritatingly worse. It felt like the parents had left the children in charge. Unfortunately they are not worth anymore of my time listing the things that were wrong. You can't judge a book by it's cover.

This is an old manor house set in 6 acres of groomed gardens. The food is fabulous with generous portions. The staff are helpful and friendly. We came for a couple of days walking and relaxing, and for this, it was successful. There are some comfortable seating areas to soak up the sun in the grounds.

It's a very comfortable and well run facility. We will certainly return. The one less favourable observation we have is that the air conditioning in our meeting room needs to be monitored more closely. It was set too cold today 20 June, and not cool enough for our meeting in May!
