We booked a night away at The Kings Arms for our anniversary & had a lovely evening. Our room was freshly decorated, clean, stylish and spacious. All of the staff that we met were super friendly, helpful & professional. Our breakfast in the morning was lovely and although it took a while to serve we didn’t mind as you could tell it was freshly cooked. 10/10 faultless stay… would highly recommend.

Just back from a fabulous 5 night stay, amazing rooms, very clean and spacious, enjoyed some great food and all the staff are extremely friendly and very helpful — couldn't have asked for a better stay 😆

Popped in for a quick lunch while waiting to park in Woodstock. The staff were friendly but professional and the food was delicious and substantial. Drink were great too Hubby had Guinness and I had Pinot Grigio blush.

Fantastic meal. I would highly recommend the fish and chips.

Delicious food, good service and tastefully decorated. Visited during December 2020 and felt very safe.

Avoid. Five guys sat at the bar swearing and calling all people who believed in Covid a bunch of c*nts. Families with small kids left and got abused on their way out. Staff did nothing. Manager apparently had a word but nothing changed. If this behaviour isn’t challenged it’s tolerated and encouraged. Avoid this place if you don’t want to be abused by idiots.

Popped in yesterday in the hopes of getting a table and we got lucky! The food was delicious but what really stood out for me was how friendly and polite all the staff were. Will definitely go again.

Lovely food and great atmosphere.

We had booked a table for supper at 8 pm and were told that they stop serving food at 9 pm. We arrived at 8:04 pm to be told the kitchen was closed. When we complained we were hastily seated and given menus. As it was a Sunday evening they told us that they had finished serving roast meals and gave us a very narrowed down menu. We hardly had time to look at the menu when they were rushing us to place our orders. Hastily ordered fish and chips and afterwards realised that there was a specials board which hadn’t been pointed out to us with much more interesting choices on it. We asked for vinegar for our chips and were brought balsamic vinegar as they had run out of Malta vinegar! Obviously we will not at all happy with our experience and the manager apologised. He gave us a drink each on the house and reduced the bill by 50%. This was fair but obviously we won’t return.

The first day that pubs are open and I believe the woodstock arms have handled the situation perfectly, social distancing has been amazing and they have made the most amazing effort to ensure safety, well done to the whole team and managers and chefs!

Delicious takeaway burger, steak and chips and sticky toffee pudding delivered hot to our door — excellent service!

Takeaway tonight and it was amazing. Service was super and food was delicious. Take away Peroni is a brilliant idea however sightly short measures meaning only getting about 1 pint when meant to be 2 but it was still brilliant and complimented the meal well.

When you come to Woodstock, go to the Woodstock inn, absolutely wonderful food at great prices.

Sorry, but real ale selection not good. Otherwise the pub inside was lovely. Please keep all your ales available at all times…

This pub only seems to look after its regulars just because I'm different to everyone else people think it's funny to drop a large steel bolt in my pint then the bar staff and management blame it on me avoide this pub…

Wow what a little gem in the heart of Woodstock. We visited for breakfast and oh my what an amazing breakfast the homemade beans where to die for. Staff were polite and attentive 10/10 all round if your struggling to find someone to eat in Woodstock look no further.

Food was awful — mixed bread with oil was fairly basic bread with a pot of butter and a vat of flavourless oil. Summer risotto was more like a soup. It's not cheap place to eat so I would expect top quality. — sadly it wasn't.
It is quite a nice place to go for a drink.

Such a friendly place. Accommodated to our dog & the breakfast rolls were Fab. They also had a large bowl with iced water. Just help yourself. Also the young boy bought our coffee’s out to the garden. Would defiantly go back.

Amazing evening tonight celebrating my Mums 80th Birthday. Thanks to the staff the chef for making her raspberry sorbet very special at the end with happy birthday done with chocolate and candles. Fantastic.

Just returned from a two night stay at The Woodstock arms set in the beautiful village of Woodstock. We absolutely loved it from the moment we arrived. Checked in with a fabulous friendly member of the team who talked us through breakfast times etc. The room was beautifully finished with extras like white company toiletries and homemade short bread biscuits. They really look at all the extra touches to make your stay special. Great meal in the evening with in a really warm environment. All staff so friendly and excellent. Chocolate nemesis dessert was amazing. Two great breakfasts with homemade baked beans. Loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a great anniversary stay!

Toilets really, really need to be addressed. No one wants to smell the toilets permanently when they are in a restaurant. Also we have no problem with dogs, but keep them on a lead and away from peoples food.

Very nice, all aspects are of a good standard. Some rooms to be refurbished this year.

Very poor quality breakfast on Sunday morning today. Old muffin barely cooked in the toaster with a bit of scrambled eggs. Had breakfast before at the Woodstock arms, but this one was not nice, unfortunately …

Very slow service and not terribly welcoming in terms of decor. Clean.

Very dated bedrooms and shower room tiles need regrouting in places. Okay for an overnight stay but that's all. Breakfast only adequate. A local bed and breakfast would have been better.

Loved this place. We stayed for 2 nights and had the comfiest bed! Beautiful room if not a tad small but what do you expect in a small inn but pristine. The steak was to die for as was the rest of the food. The staff are a credit to you Emily and Dimitri — always friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would I recommend this place for food and accomadation? You bet I would!. We will be back very soon. Thank yoy for a very welcoming stay.

We wandered in off the street for a meal on a Friday night. The manager found us a table right away although pointing out that it would be needed an hour and a half later which was fine. The attentive staff made sure we were well looked after. The food whilst expensive was beautifully cooked. We opted for the Barnsley lamb chop with new potatoes and asparagus to follow I had a chocolate dish that came with a sour cream accompaniment which tasted devine. My wife had the Eton mess which again was excellent. A few pints of lovely Jacobs ale went down well. The surroundings are rustic and typical of the area, very agreeable. For a special meal this would be the place to go.

Great quick professional service.

Walked in off the street on a late Friday afternoon afternoon looking for a table for eight for the evening. Friendly lady behind the bar quickly checked and gave two time options. When we arrived later the setting was just the prelude to an enjoyable family meal. Excellent menu selection, dishes beautifully cooked, great atmosphere and prompt service. Well done, if only we lived close enough to come back for more!

Had dinner in the Woodstock last night and I must say it's absolutely fantastic. Great food, service and atmosphere. Lovely menu with lots to choose from and the same with the wine list. It's a shame that we live so far away because we would be regular customers. A big thank you for last night.

Called in for dinner in the restaurant on the way back to London from Blenheim on Sunday night. We had a very nice roast and venison pie. Service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was spot on. We didn't have anything to drink (thanks, dry January) and the 2 courses came to a shade under £50 so not super cheap but not crazy either. Would definitely come back again.

I've been here many many times, but on this occasion we had hired the pub for my wife's 50th Birthday. We had arranged to take all the rooms and everyone that had them, said how lovely they all were. We had a DJ until late and food was provided by the Woodstock Arms. I cannot fault anything from the evening, the food, staff and everything that went with it were perfect. The staff were so accommodating with everything. Nothing was too much trouble. All 90 of our guests thought the evening was fantastic and everyone I spoke to said how lovely the food was. So, yes I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely place that apparently dates back to 1698. One of the best English breakfasts I have ever eaten. Rooms are a bit too warm though (we thought we were back in Lanzarote… lol)

The Best stilton bacon.

We had a good meal here yesterday in the rear dining room, which has a large skylight and so was attractive and airy. The young lady that served us was very attentive and the food was tasty and nicely presented. The only small downer, which was in no way the fault of the establishment, was that the person at the next table was trying to make themselves heard in Gloucestershire, but ho-hum. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. Certainly recommended as a pre or post-Blenheim destination.
