My son Luke and wife Sharney got marrid there last weekend and the crown made it a lovely experience. All staff were attentive, warm and friendly and couldn’t have done more to make the occasionally special. A few stayed a couple of nights there and rooms were nicely decorated, clean and breakfasts were fab.

Stayed for the weekend. Great place, near Oxford & walking distance to Blenheim Palace. It was my cousins wedding the staff were so efficient and friendly. Everything seemed effortless and they always had a smile. The food was also delicious. I will definitely be going back.

What a lovely few days away. The Crown was such a pleasant experience. The staff are great, very friendly welcoming and attention to detail is spot on. We had such a lovely visit for our anniversary. The room was spacious, clean and the little touches make the difference to the overall experience. We had dinner just after our arrival, (Sunday Lunch) and it was superb. Great portions sizes too. Would definitely recommend the Crown to anyone thinking of going. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

Visited Woodstock for a weekend what a lovely place to discover! Brilliant staff, lovely food especially the squid and the pizza and a great selection of cocktails.

Liked the location, nice interior and discover a beer garden to the rear. Staff were pleasant, and on our visit 1pm on Monday, pleasantly quiet.

Stayed here for the night. Absolutely great service and fantastic food. Room was quirky with a great collection of cowshed products that were lush. Staff were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough to make our stay any better. Marta and the rest of the staff made us feel really welcome and we can’t recommend this place highly enough. Loved it. Thank you so much.

Disappointing visit last night, we hadn't booked a late table but there was a rush to order as everything was running out. Waitress was lovely and so apologetic. Before we were offered dessert and coffee we were asked by another waitress if we wanted the bill. Obviously trying to hurry us out! Not good seeing the chef running is hands through his hair several times! Meatballs ordered as pretty much all that was left, there's a reason for that, very average tasting!

Friendly staff great service. Reasonably priced.

A great pub/restaurant that has never failed to impress us.
We held an amazing party here at the weekend which was down to the venue / decor, brilliant and attentive staff, the delicious food and the excellent service. Menu has always been delicious and just popping in for a coffee is a pleasure. One time, the bar staff made a fuss of my children and their friends and made them feel special with kiddy cocktails. Family friendly. My favourite place to go in Woodstock.

Not welcoming dirty tables food on the floor waited for 15 minutes to get a drink even though they weren’t busy not impressed at all.

I like this hotel and always stay when we travel from Canada, I think it's well worth the money for the peace and quite and it has a fine restaurant. Oxford is minutes away by public transport and there are open walks in beautiful countryside from the hotel. So worthy of an honest review.

I have been here before and ordered food which was good but nothing special. Today I ordered quattro formaggi pizza here and it was the best thing I ever had. I highly recommend it.

Easily the best pub in Woodstock. Quality food and very friendly staff. Dogs are also allowed in. There is also a nice little patio garden out back which is really nice for breakfast.

Excellent pub in centre of Woodstock with good selection of ales and lagers, impressive whisky and spirits collection and decently priced and good quality pub food for the area. Plenty of tables and also a nice lounge area with open fire. Traditional brick / wooden beam interiors, friendly and helpful staff.

Diabolical service. Went in for lunch and stood around until eventually we found a waitress who said we could sit down anywhere and she would bring us the menus. After sometime we found another waitress who actually asked us why we were there… we told her the obvious, lunch and she said she would bring us the menu. After sitting aimlessly for some more time, my husband decided to hunt down a menu and then eventually was told by another staff member that we had just missed lunch service and that kitchens were now closed. What a waste of time. No regard for paying customers and clearly no training of staff in the simple matter of their own service times. Rather go to subway!

Raspberry and honey gin. Delicious. Food looked good but we didn't try it. Sat in beautiful courtyard.

We had dinner here. The server managed to give us a small private area for our family. Great service and food! Would definitely go here again.

Spanish night really good. Great atmosphere, great food in particular the squid, potatoes and the Catalan version of creme brulee is very nice. Would recommend to anyone.

It was such a wonderful stay here. The staff were so friendly and accommodating of our two small children. The place is beautifully and contemporarily decorated. The beds are really comfy, showers great and I loved the breakfast. 5 minutes walk from Blenheim palace. It was an awesome place for a weekend away.

Went there for dinner. The gambas was gorgeous and duck breast cooked just right. I asked for Tabasco sauce for my pizza but the restaurant ran out of it. The server ran to the closest supermarket to get me my Tabasco sauce. Five star service. Pleasantly surprised.

We had a couple of lovely evenings in restaurant and bar areas of The Crown. We had a selection of starters, like tapas, everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would happily visit again.

Really disappointed about food. Tasteless lamb was served on chipped plate covered with gravy that looked like brown water. Wine was served in what looked like ice cream bowls. Cheese platter was poor choice.

Nice friendly staff! An "Easy/relaxed buzz" pls light the log fire. Soft background music would help too. Table service a bit thin but generally v welcoming. I think u need a few mor waiting 'Happy" staff. (The whole ambience needs a re vamp) such a fantastic site. Not fully exploited.

Spacious, beautiful rooms with bathtubs that are decorated tastefully. They have extensive breakfast menu options and the service is very friendly. The hotel is situated right by the bus stop that takes you to Oxford in 30 mins max. But Woodstock itself is very pretty with wonderful gastro pubs so you may want to spend your day here.

We stayed at The Crown for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. The Room (No 3) was first class. Very tastefully decorated and the bathroom was fantastic and so big. To be honest this room was better than some of the 5 star hotel rooms we have stayed in. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the staff were really friendly. Food was absolutely lovely, especially the mussels for starter, and would go back again if we are ever in the area.

I wish to convey my warm thanks and appreciation over our Christmas dinner party for my staff and I. Not only was your restaurant warm and inviting; having never eaten there before, but your staff and especially your chef was very accommodating to my yeast and diary intolerance. It is not many places that are this considerate. And I really mean that. I wish you a very merry Christmas and look forward to enjoying another evening soon. I dont know Woodstock at all, and found myself stuck there for a while. I popped into this inviting looking place around 6.30pm, very cold, and asked if it was ok to just get a coffee (was aware they were probably booked up with Christmas bookings). They have a snug little corner in the front window and I was lucky enough to bag the big comfy armchair. The staff at the bar were super friendly and brought my coffee over. I spent an hour and a half listening to the quiet lull of old Christmas classics playing, reading my paper and glancing up as people moved about. It gradually got busier with parties of people arriving, carol singers popped in and sang some traditional carole's beautifully. I don't know if the punters were all local, but I noticed how polite and friendly people were to each other. I felt so relaxed, the most I've felt in a couple of months, and like I had been going there for years. Thanks for giving one stressed Friday evening, a well needed escape. I'll definitely return one day to spend the evening there.

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and not particularly expensive. Service always very friendly but sometimes a little slow. Not a place to visit in a hurry, but you'll want to savour the food!

Very charming village Inn with log fireplaces, sofas, mulled wine and a classy menu. Mid range price but open late with a bar and restaurant, amazing breakfast and spectacular rooms.

Had dinner here on Friday night with a couple of friends. I had the Fish and Chips which were really lovely — cooked to perfection. Very attentive and helpful staff.

Went in on a weekday night, the place was busy, but staff found us a table. The menu was varied, with lots of options that we all felt we'd like to try. The food came promptly and was very good. The waiter was very helpful in recommending wine suitable for our meals. Service was excellent, and the place is very well presented. We decided we'd definitely come back.

Disappointed with the service and attitude of the staff. We’d phoned to book a table and then had to wait 50 mins for breakfast. One meal came after the rest of us had finished. On expressing my disappointment I was told that they’d be no charge as we had not been happy from the minute we arrived. It was my birthday and we were all in good spirits so really surprised at the comment. Not paying did not make up for a less than lovely experience so could not recommend sadly.

This is the pub where you want to spend hours, warm, friendly and good!

Stayed here for the Blenheim Horse Trials 2017. Beautiful building with comfortable, well set out rooms. The conservatory is a wonderful, light and airy room, and the wood burning oven produces the most delicious pizza. On a final note, the management and staff are possibly the most friendly and helpful team that I have encountered in many years. Thoroughly recommended.

Had lunch here Aug 2017. All three of us had pizza. As most other things on the menu were more like evening meals. But all three of us agreed that the Pizzas were exceptional. I might even stretch to say it was probably the best pizza I have ever had. The exterior of the premises are in the local traditional style. Where as the interior is half traditional, half modern. Giving a clean, fresh appearance. Service was satisfactory. First person made us welcome, where as the waitress was a bit more business like. Overall I would definitely recommend lunching there.

Would recommend this place. Beautiful room with free-standing bath, TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee. No fridge in room but milk delivered. Had dinner and breakfast here. Food was delicious, quick service, reasonable price. Really friendly staff.

Don't be mistaken. This is not a pub. Food is Ok, but staff is ignorant and beer selection poor. This is no place for a drink.

Everything was perfect (and I never say that! ). The staff, the food, the design, the suite, the toiletries, the luxury. Can't recommend enough if having a little jolly in Woodstock.

Staff were friendly and accommodating, the pizzetta was wonderful, atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.

Lovely local pub where we stopped off for lunch. Bean soup and home made bread was gorgeous! Very friendly and helpful staff too.

Reasonably priced pub with good selection of food and drink. Two fireplaces and comfortable seats to relax and a nice family friendly atmosphere. Small selection of vegetarian food, I asked to adjust my pizza toppings to make it vegan and they were very accommodating.

Lovely place for a quick spot of lunch, tea, coffee and cake. Great for families too.

Served up a truly great and memorable wedding party experience for us on 16/10/16. Food and wine of excellent quality. Staff, from most senior to junior, charming and attentive. Rooms very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Highly recommended, if I could give six stars, I would.
