We recently had our wedding at Magnolia Park and all we can say is how amazing! Charlotte was amazing from start to finish and nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff were kind and friendly and very helpful!
If you are looking to have the most amazing wedding that you could only dream of then we would recommend Magnolia Park! Mr & Mrs Shortland.

Pleasant room without a view, evening meals excellent but give breakfast a miss.
Golf course in need of water and plants need TLC.

The room was ok and decorated to a modern theme I had a fridge and safe in the room and the TV was large. The room also had air conditioning which was very nice in the heat of the day. The only down side was that the bar was very quiet at night time the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and you only get the golfers or people out for a meal.

Very nice. The staff very helpful. And will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Very good food and drink. Nice 18 hole golf course.

Unfortunately we booked a non refundable room otherwise we would have cancelled. We booked this hotel as we were attending a family event. We had planned to use the 'spa' facilities advertised. We had originally planned to meet family for a meal here prior to our event. After we booked we discovered that the spa facilities consisted of a male sauna and the restaurant was a bar menu. My partner rang up to complain as the hotel had also not even taken payment and no one had contacted us to say why. In total my partner had to phone 3 times before payment was taken. When we arrived the hotel reception was lovely however the bar was dated and our room had what looked like fire damage on the door. We were woken at 7am by a loud party and then again at 9am by hoovering outside our room on a Sunday morning. We had planned to have breakfast but decided to give it a miss so couldnt comment on the food. We got a drink at the bar and was made to feel a pain as I had given £1.70 in change and they had to count it! As a place to literally sleep it was very overpriced. It is unlikely we will stay in a best western again.

Only stay at this hotel if you are going to play golf, rooms attached to a golf cub other guests will be a inconvenience.

Very friendly staff, below average breakfast, nice location but hard to get to. Interior and exterior looked quite dated.

Location was nice but didn't see the signs for the hotel till last second, friendly customer service but rooms were only ok.

We played a four ball here today, very disappointed!
We rang this morning to check if the course was open due to the recent weather, we were told it was fully open, we arrived, paid, then was told 6, 7, 8 were closed!
Great, not only told that, we got stuck behind a society match, I know thats not there fault but as they moved our tee time three times you would of atleast thought they could of left a bit of a gap.
The course was in poor condition, very very wet!
Would I return, maybe again but in the summer.
Plus side, ample parking and a great bacon bap for £3.95.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and well turned-out rooms. Nice shower especially. The evening meal we had was lovely and the breakfast was a decent buffet. Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream a film and I had a full 4G signal on EE despite the hotel being out in the countryside. So why not 5 stars? Only a couple of issues, the air-con only worked for heat and the rooms aren't very soundproofed so I was a bit disturbed at night by some machinery noise close to my room. Overall very nice though, I'll stay again.

The hotel has a great charm to it and the staff are very friendly and professional. Great place to undefined and have a pint after work and if your lucky enough to be there over the weekend play a round of golf.

Set in beautiful surroundings, Magnolia Park has a premium feel to it the moment you arrive. There was a bit of building work going on which dulled the impression a little on the inside, but it's evident that it's a gorgeous place all the same. My room was really nice and evidently recently updated with a modern feel to it. The bathroom was spacious, containing both a bath and separate shower cubicle whilst retaining enough room to swing a small cat, and a very small (but nevertheless present) balcony overlooked the golf course that the hotel serves. Incongruously, there was a small fridge in the wardrobe which hummed tunelessly to itself all nigh with the wardrobe acting as a rudimentary amplifier. The voluminous information folder (which I had to search for) contained precisely none of the information I was looking for (the Wi-Fi code and how much breakfast was. I didn't have breakfast in the end, but dinner was tasty and not too expensive considering the location (though the price of a pint — very little change from a fiver — made up for this). A nice place that I'll consider again should I find myself working in the area.

Visited to play golf, got there early and found staff welcoming. Course was lovely very well maintained and you could see greens have undergone some recent maintance as still a bit sandy but overall great course. Definitely going back again.

Excellent hotel with a peaceful location. The rooms on the first floor have a balcony overlooking the golf course which is nice. All the staff are extremely pleasant and make the stay enjoyable.

We were greeted by very friendly staff. As we are members of Best Western they upgraded us to a mini suite. The room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant The only negative thing we can say about this hotel is if you do not like to eat with the television blaring you had better eat elsewhere. Our overall experience was great and we will use this hotel again.
