We have just started using this venue for our monthly Oxfordshire CoWorking Club meet, Tina and her team are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Lunch was lovely and I can't wait to come back with my husband to try out the evening menu!

Our first time here we will be back. Great service, great food and great atmosphere.

After a long walk dropped for beer and bite to eat. Beer and food good value. Lovely pub with friendly staff, especially Kelly who was great to chat to. Highly recommended, if I lived in Banbury I’d make it my local.

A day in the sun with friends at The 3 Pigeons was brilliant yesterday: safe and extremely helpful staff, tasty lunch, Pimms and Campari spritz, great acoustic music early evening and very good value for money (all day happy hour)! We'll be back…

The three pigeons hosted my brothers 40th last night and the staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The function room was lovely and the food was fantastic! Thanks to all for making it such a great night!

One of the worst roast dinners that I’ve ever had! I ordered chicken supreme and got a very small chicken thigh (I was told this was the last of the chicken). Sent back to exchange for roast beef. My husband and I both had roast beef. However… The beef was tough as old boots, the potatoes and vegetables had seen better days, shrivelled up, cold and unpleasant. After a discussion with the manager we were charged for one meal albeit he tried to argue and tell us that he had served 100 servings today and no one else had complained! Very disappointed as prior to this new ownership the roast dinners were fantastic and outstanding. I would not go again and I would not recommend anyone going there … it’s a complete waste of money.

We made a flying visit but were blown away by how dog friendly it was. We did not have time to eat but the menu looked very appealing. Staff were lovely.

It was our first time here, have to say one of the worst places I’ve been unfortunately. Had to wait nearly an hour for a our food and was told it was all fresh that’s why is was taking so long and when it evenly came out it was lukewarm and we sent back to kitchen twice as items were missing. The waitress took 30% off our bill after abit of persuasion and the manager didn’t even come to talk to us, he left it all to the waitress and it was her first day! Sorry but poor management!

We met family here for lunch and I was hoping that the food would be good given that I would be driving 125 miles each way just to eat. Well, not only is it a beautiful place to eat, the food was outstanding! The service was also excellent and despite the fact that it is nowhere near home for me, I hope to visit again someday.

Lovely pub with deservedly good reputation for their pub food menu. The lamb shank was incredibly tasty, well cooked and served. Recommended.

This is a nice place to eat it. The food is extremely good and some dishes are really top class. The menu is really interesting. The price point match the food quality. Good selection of drinks and easy parking. They only thing I would say some mains are really big and not well presented on the plate hence 4 stars. It is although very delicious and very helpful staff. Highly recommended. .

A welcome stop on the May Bank holiday weekend as we journeyed back to Manchester from Lewes. They very graciously kept the kitchen opened for us so we could refuel. This gorgeous little pub is an authentic coach stop and is just a lovely place to eat.

Very average to be honest. The food menu is full of safe choices, but unfortunately neither meals were great. The duck was over cooked and the risotto was way too heavy and stodgy. They need to decide on a menu for different times of the day as trying to run two to three menus at the same time — All day — is not helping provide clarity or quality in the kitchen.

It’s a lovely cosy pub, but unfortunately my meal arrived on the cold side… to which the waitress did not apologise for and actually argued to say it was meant to be like that! The service was slow, staff were unwelcoming and prices too high!

What a fantastic place. Stayed for the night before a family member's wedding, after days of complications with 'the beast from the east' and 'storm emma' disrupting England (and thus, the wedding). What everyone needed was a restful night before the ensuing wedding day. Bride, mother of, father of, sisters of, and myself stayed overnight — maxing out the three rooms that were available at the inn and our stay couldn't possibly have been made more enjoyable. A quick check-in followed by a nice meal on the evening really helped to calm the nerves. Then, unexpectedly, with sympathy for the bride-to-be, the manager comes to our table and presents an ice-bucket containing a complimentary bottle of Champagne — stating that they'd heard about all of the difficulties surrounding the wedding and wanted to do their bit to make it special. After some kind words, we were then left to enjoy our dinner, enjoyed the bar, the girls went to their rooms to do a little 'hen party' and most of us enjoyed a restful night before the big day. The rooms were all clean and tastefully decorated — no issues at all there. The following morning for breakfast, bearing in mind that we were a party of 5 vegetarians and 1 vegan, the staff had pulled together to suit almost everyone's needs — unable to brave the snow to get extra vegan-friendly supplies, what was put together was more than enough — especially with such warm and friendly service.

Not bad… Better than average pub food, but watch out for your pre-paid deposit not being deducted from your bill if doing a group meal that they will want one for, as happened to my group… Not done deliberately but an avoidable oversight that the owners were happy & helpful to rectify.

Lovely little pub near centre of Banbury. Good food and friendly service. We had a light bite and could only just managed to eat it all. Main menu dishes must be enormous! 17 century building full of character and original very low beams.

This was our 2nd visit. The 1st visit was simply perfect great accommodation and fantastic food could not fault it.
This time however it all changed.
The accommodation was good however the evening meal went down hill.
Having ordered fillet steak I advised that We did not want any blood.
The steaks arrived and cutting into them they were blue.
These were sent back and re cooked but again they were still not cooked inside still near blue.
The waitress asked if we wanted to change what we had ordered. I asked for another steak, to be cooked so there was no blood.
Another steak arrived along with a change of menu for my wife.
Her chicken was pink and the potato was not fully cooked, my steak again was not cooked, again as soon as the steak was cut into you could see it had not been cooked, still blue and still bloody.
Both meals were returned and we went without.
We were having a family meal for 4 which was totally ruined.
It’s sad as we were looking forward to the same level of service and food as our 1st visit.

Great quality food for a reasonable price. Drinks well priced too. Well presented areas inside and out to sit making this place a good choice all year round.

A family gathering of 13 was superbly cared for. Nothing was too much trouble for the team of staff. The food was excellent! Everything contributed a lovely evening. A big thank you to all.

Despite us having many delays and being unreasonably late to our reservation, something that is sure to at least mildly infuriate the workers especially the kitchen staff since they shut 10 minutes after our arrival, everyone was very accommodating and I can't give more praise to the service we were given. Our initially stressful night was completely washed away by outstanding service, fantastic food and many friendly faces and I couldn't be happier with the way our night ended. Cannot recommend enough, will be visiting again.

Food was OK, but not great for the price. Service was farcical, probably akin to Fawlty Towers! Was pretty funny as our party had a sense of humour, but could have been a stressful and frustrating experience.

We popped in today on a super busy Sunday lunch time, and had a fabulous meal. We called up 15 minutes before wanting a table and the staff accommodated us with such short notice even though they were fully booked! We had a lovely table in the bar made up for us on arrival. Delicious fresh food for both adults and children… everyone finished it all! They even did a mini veg platter for our youngest baby, without us even asking, they just offered after we asked for some bread for him. Lovely staff, friendly, warm and great food! Highly recommend, we will return! Thank you for such tasty food.

Food and service were excellent — one of the best pies I have ever had — fabulous! Update: Just returned for third time and another great meal with great service.

I had dinner there. Food was amazing. Service also incredible. They have a great variety of wines.

This place is fantastic! The menu is a bit limited but every dish is delicious. We had a dinner party of eight so I had the opportunity to sample a bit of everything. The staff were pleasant and gracious. The atmosphere was classic pub. I was told it's the oldest pub in Banbury. I would come back again and again.

The pub is easy to get to with a cheap car park nearby if the one on site is full. It is a very friendly atmosphere and warm in design with lovely low beams and pictures about. (Mind your head if you're tall). The only disappointing aspect was there wasn't really an interest in taking food orders and the bar is very small, which is a pain when people are sat at the bar and don't move it becomes difficult to get served.

A quaint old but refurbished pub on the outskirts of Banbury. I found the menu on a Saturday evening somewhat restricted as I do not eat fish or game. I had the burger which was OK but nothing special. The staff on duty when we arrived were less than welcoming, we felt we had disturbed their chat time. The staff who ultimately served us were much more engaging and friendly. I felt the prices were rather high for the experience and that there are better places to eat in Banbury.
