Lovely manor hotel ; great service ; gorgeous building and grounds. Can’t fault it if you’re looking for a country experience.

The spa is amazing. Very friendly staff. Treatments I had were lovely, therapist was great too. Facilities are excellent. Afternoon tea in the hotel was outstanding. A beautiful setting. We even had a fly past by the Red Arrows!

Just been for my Brothers wedding, absolutely stunning venue. The rooms have everything you would need, plenty of sockets, usb points, amazing bathroom, easy to use phone with clearly labelled reception button, breakfast info was clear and concise and the breakfast was pretty amazing too. The meal last night though was superb, and a great day was had!

Fabulous spa and lovely staff. Hotel and gardens need a bit of an update/Tlc/ landscaping and pruning. Plus £14 for a glass of Prosecco — really?

What I would call a hybrid hotel. Really traditional outside with modern twists inside. Really welcoming staff. Our room was very cool, split across 3 floors. Food was super super awesome. 5 stars for food.

After a long hard winters day there is no better way than to kick back and relax at this stunning and cosy country manor in such a perfect setting. All staff made me feel at home and well looked after, no request is ever too much trouble.

The welcome was so warm and this continued with staff in the dining room. Our visit was for our 36th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint, a thoroughly enjoyable gastronomic delight. We shall return. Special thanks to the evening receptionist, she is one very special lady.

The gardens are amazing went watch the greatest showman wow it was amazing.

My boyfriend booked us a day here at the C-Side spa including treatments & champagne afternoon tea. The manor grounds are beautiful, the spa staff were very friendly and attentive straight away. My boyfriend had a deep tissue massage & I had a pregnancy full body massage; I am 37 weeks pregnant and the lady made me feel very comfortable. We managed to have our massages in the same room, which was very clean and had lovely relaxing music. Once finished, we were greeted with cold water and offered to sit in the relaxation room. After that, we spent time in the indoor pool & around the spa which is such a lovely atmosphere. We finished our day here with afternoon tea in the manor itself — the grounds are out-of-this-world; we sat on the terrace and the views were beautiful! The afternoon tea was exquisite and staff were so friendly. We cannot wait to return 💕

Helpful staff under difficult conditions today … so windy and wet but we stuck it out for a special joint birthday celebration. Lovely afternoon tea priced on par with other places.

Poor food quality, incorrect order, small portion size, cold food and slow waiter service. Very disappointing despite beautiful surroundings.

A fantastic place with so many things to do for families or couples. Beautiful surroundings and a great spa. Food is second to none — amazing. We’ve been 3 x times in total now and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

The food is fantastic, the rooms big and comfortable, nice lounge with plenty of board games and a great bar. We had a lovely night away as a family of four.

What more can I say! We have had a couple of ‘anywhere meals’ here and we LOVE IT! Staff are lovely, food is superb and such a stunning building, 5* from us!

As a single parent with two teenagers I keep returning to Cowley Manor. It has this wonderful relaxed ambience that means you can almost treat it as your home — no stuck up pretentiousness here. I’ve also never been questioned about whether ‘I’m waiting for someone else to join me’ — a frequent experience as a single woman travelling with kids that makes me thoroughly annoyed. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We stayed here last night and had such a wonderful stay. All of the staff were very attentive and helpful, particularly in the bar for advising gins to try (Spanish and Colombian if you’re interested).
A great overnight stay and will definitely return!

We arrived on 26th April for our 10 year anniversary weekend. We were originally booked in at another hotel but they messed up our booking. Cowley were so helpful and attentive and really made our bad situation a positive one. The staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the room, restaurant and grounds were all amazing. We will be planning our next visit that's for sure. Thank you again to all the team at Cowley for making our special weekend.

This place is amazing! The grounds were gorgeous… great to just walk around and look at all of the beautiful flowers, swans swimming in the lakes, and you can even pick wild blueberries. We had our 9 month old with us and they provided a comfy pack n' play for him to sleep in and were over and beyond accommodating us during our meals with him providing a high chair and getting our food out quick so we could eat fast:). Moddy, who worked in their restaurant, Malt, was soooo nice! She even held our baby at one point while we ate, and on the night before check out she left us a note wishing us safe travels. We did not want to leave! Great place to bring families! Would go back again in a heart beat!

Booked the ‘cheapest’ room, labelled good room and it was huge. I’m not a fan of this marketing trick of good, better, best room but just know the good rooms fave the front of the building so you don’t get a view of the beautiful grounds and garden. The property is beautiful with lots of bits to explore, a water garden, small late, ancient chapel. We did the walking loop and snuck out at the road to eat a local pub. The spa was empty which made for a nice experience — loved the luxury spa products in the facility and the option for indoor or outdoor pool. You can really fill up a day and night with leisure. Will definitely be back. One star off for no kettle in the room and no fresh milk for tea.

It was a lovely tranquil place, the afternoon afternoon Tea was to die for, and the staff were very helpful, its worth a trip.

One of my favourite places to go … right on my doorstep as l live down the lane! … still special everytime, like one is transported to a different world … even better in the summer as the gardens and water features are amazing, and just enhance the experience.

Cowley Manor is interesting, and not necessarily in a good way. Perhaps the experience would be totally different if you are staying in the hotel or spa, but we stopped by for a quick drink in the bar and we were quite confused at the decor and general vibe. Perhaps I am a traditionalist, but the bold and colourful contemporary interior did a disservice to the character of the manor house and the grounds. Although beautiful, parts of the grounds are in serious need of some TLC. The waiting staff did also not impress.

We had the most amazing spa day today. It was a beautiful sunny day, we enjoyed relaxing by the outdoor pool drinking mojitos. I had a hot stone massage which was amazing. The afternoon tea was delicious and beautifully presented. The team are lovely and can’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend C-Side for a relaxing girly break or a couples retreat.

Stunning manor house set in beautiful grounds — 55 acres apparently — well cared for and very dog friendly. Walking around the grounds revealed suprise after suprise — swans elegantly gliding on the lake, trout leaping and shady woods. Oh and the afternoon tea was delicious with home made scones and cakes.

So close to a perfect hotel! The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped, the grounds were spectacular and the spa was what a spa should be. The food was great too. The only areas that it could improve are — maintenance if rooms and buildings (starting to look a little worn in places, including a full English breakfast in the rate (I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel like this, that didn't offer a full English) and if I'm being really pick the spa staff were a little abrupt and the changing rooms were a mess. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the Cotswolds.

Nice food, nice reception and house keeping staff, but the spa receptionist and cleanliness wasn't good (towel bins overflowing constantly, dirty dishes, loungers not cleared when not in use). The room felt very tired (room 16) with leaky taps and a musky shower that had bad mildew, though the bed was comfy and the amenities were good. Nice hotel but it misses the finishing touches to make it exceptional.

Cowley Manor is a wonderful place, in the beautiful Cotswolds area, the English countryside. The facilities are modern and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend it and hope to return soon.

What a discovery! Ive always known about cowley manor, but thought it would be snooty and unwelcoming and ridiculously expensive. I was worried might have to dress up super smart and whilst tracksuit probably not right it was really relaxing and the kids felt really comfortable. Finally tried it for Sunday lunch, and it was lovely. Staff were friendly, setting is unbeatale and actually the costs were very reasonable. My only hesitation is in posting a review is that I'd like to keep it secret for us! But that wouldn't be fair.

Delightfully luxurious manor spa hotel in the middle of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. My wife and I spent a late anniversary weekend there (courtesy of our children) in February 2017. The room was huge, the bed was enormous and comfortable, and the bathroom one of the largest we have ever stayed — room size on its own. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was filling, and dinner on one evening was okay but perhaps not best value. What was tremendous value was the bar food (interestingly the pizza) and cocktails, one of which included marmalade and champagne (name forgotten) — thoroughly enjoyable after a long day walking across the countryside. Unfortunately we made the mistake of not booking a spa massage weeks in advance, a must for those who like to indulge.

Not necessary to go so far from London to get a cold for the freezing huge restaurant with a big cheminey out of use. The SPA doesn’t offer anything special you won’t find in an ordinary one. Vogue has been mistaken when they recommend Cowley Manor as one of the best break Spa in England.

Spacious, funky rooms. Magnificent grounds. Attentive staff. Only downside is that it's not much of a 'retreat' in that it's a little like a crèche. If came again (which I would), I'd bring the kids and fall in with the occasional chaos — for quiet relaxation, I'd go elsewhere…

Stunning room, facilities were incredible, everything from the mansion sized bathroom to the beds and the views screamed luxury from top to bottom. — Fantastically maintained grounds with lots of countryside to see and explore, including a local Alpaca farm (who doesnt love alpacas? ) — Polite and helpful staff at every touchpoint, never was too far away from help. — Unfortunately I cant give 5 stars because food was underwhelming, mostly in portion control — the breakfast in particular was a majorly disappointing. With all that said, I would 100% visit Cowley Manor again, but maybe eat out in the future!

Wow what a wonderful weekend at the stunning Cowley Manor. A group of us went for a girls weekend to celebrate my birthday. We were so well looked after from the moment we walked in the door to the time we had to drag ourselves away from the stunning spa. A huge thank you to the all the staff and the General Manager Douglas. Dinner on our last night was incredible! I can’t wait for our next stay.

Been here twice, the food is exceptional and so is the service. The setting is beautiful very pride and prejudice esq.

An interesting place that lacks the efficiency and quality expected through main reception, introduction to the rooms and facilities and checking out procedure. Certainly understaffed in this vital area.

It was first class service and experience from start to finish Highly recommend staying here just to eat amazing food and getting the best night sleep. I for one can't wait to come back. Also friendly.

A friend and I went for champagne afternoon tea, which was lovely. Service was very good. Very friendly staff. Loos were amazing! We sat outside in the sunshine overlooking the stunning gardens and lake. Some of the lounge chairs were design not comfort, my only grizzle.

I visited for an event I was photographing, and spent much longer there than anticipated — the grounds are stunning as is the main building, and make sure to visit the Spa and pool.

We recently held our daughters wedding here and cannot praise the staff and venue enough.
The service was exceptional, they did everything they could to make the day a relaxed, organised and happy occasion.
The day went beautifully smooth, it was a large exclusive use wedding and many people commented on the service, the rooms and stunning surroundings.
We have been to Cowley many times for lunch, spa days or simply just a coffee or cocktail and always enjoy our visit.

I love this place. Can't recommend highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are all lovely and the food is amazing!

Beautiful surroundings, the room we stayed in was very nice, with all the facilities you will need, one special thing I'm the room was that the bathroom was upstairs in our room very smart. Spa was very nice and relaxing and clean.

Went for afternoon tea at Cowley Manor, but was disapointed with the service & quality of the food. The waitress didnt seem to know what was included in the afternoon tea & scones were'nt freshly baked which I would have expected at a hotel of this level. No one came to check everything was ok & I had to wait ages for someone to appear so I could call them over to get some more cream for my scones. I've had better afternoon tea for half the price. Its a shame because the hotel is stunning, but my experience was very disapointing.

Visited Cowley Manor for our work Christmas meal. We were served in the garden room by the very attentive waiting staff and the food was excellent both in terms of quality and value for money.

Have stayed here many times and loves every one of them. Very relaxing.

Terrible value for money. When you pay that kind of money you expect an experience in return. The service was shoddy, no Wi-Fi in the room, couldn't understand the receptionist, the cote de boeuf was chewy and inedible (they refunded it)! Not going back in a hurry maybe only to visit the cemetery!

Overall disappointed. It ticks all the boxes in terms of a beautiful stately home with stunning grounds and a fantastic spa. However it is totally let down by the staff, service and food. It is missing casual class and attention to detail so badly we couldn't believe our eyes. The soundsystem in our room didn't work, neither did the ipod dock. The TV sound was terrible and parts of the room looked run down. That said the room was nice and big and the bathroom superb, it just all needs a bit of TLC. Clearly understaffed, the drinks in the lounge took forever to be ordered and be served. Multiple waiters would come to take our orders, looking confused when they were told we had ordered already. Nibbles and olives would come half way through the drinks. No attention to redressing tables, rearranging cushions on sofas etc. You might call me picky but at £345 a night, you expect the type of attention and care you should get. The food in the restaurant didn't come quick. I don't mind waiting over 30 minutes if it's worth it but the meals were just too salty and what I would expect from a gastro pub. A few tables ordered the ribs which were systematically sent back as they were undercooked and served pink. It was awkward. The eggs and salmon in the morning were the icing on the cake, plain toast with no butter, the eggs looked like some mashed up baby food and a slice of salmon was pathetically thrown on there. No presentation whatsoever!

I've stayed here twice with my wife and plan to return asap. Staff, food, service, and rooms in main house are impressive. James Bond concrete pool and spa are a lesson in landscape modernist architecture. Easy to see how adjoining centuries' old church and stunning trees lakes and grounds inspired Lewis Carroll to create Alice in Wonderland.

Such a beautiful place to stay. The rooms and grounds were stunning. The staff so accommodating and helpful. The spa lush and casual. We didn't leave the grounds for two days (it was a nice, lazy break) and found more than enough to do here — afternoon tea, board games in the lounge, pool games, long walks around the many acres of land. Every shade of wonderful.

It’s the perfect stylish luxury hotel in the country and they are particularly family friendly. Kids of all ages can have a brilliant time and parents too. We always feel so relaxed when we come back from it. The spa, the pool, the lounges… we just have a brilliant time and Mademoiselle often find friends to play with as well. What’s not to like.

I got married in the Garden Room in September, and everything exceeded my expectations! We had Shane look after us on the day and everything was perfect. The food was fantastic and the service was 5 star. When I arrived I asked Shane if there was somewhere I could keep the presents for our parents and he took them to look after them, and after dessert I turned to ask Shane if he could grab the gifts and he pointed to behind my chair where he had already put them! It was care and attention to detail like this that really impressed me. Overall I was very impressed and had a lovely day and couldn't recommend Cowley Manor enough if you're planning your wedding there. Thank you very much.
