Superb staff and ambience.

This is the most amazing place, everyone is so friendly, the rooms are incredible and the food was beyond wonderful. We will definitely be back 😊

The cleaning side is very, very poor-not up to a standard for this cost of hotel and or kind.
It was also very disappointing that it is a Spa but without the spa treatment being available to the resident because it’s fully book for day visitors!
COVID IS THE COUSE OF COURSE!
The staff are very friendly and accommodating for the short coming of the whole experience but if you are paying as much as £400 per room, you do expect at least a clean room!
Not to mention, my husband got a confirmation of £350 per night and been charged over that-is an acceptable. We phoned the hotel when we’ve realised the mistake made by them but the management is not available to correct it immediately-crossed fingers, we will get the phone call tomorrow as promised! To correct the difference which is not insignificant!
NOTE-if you are allergic to any pet hair combined with dust — then, this is really a serious matter for your health!
Luckily-they had a room less exposed to pets! If hotels can have a non-smoking room then, I’m sure they can have a pet hair/smell free room too!
I LOVE PETs, I just don’t want to smell nor have a breathing problem when sleeping in a room!

Fantastic venue with kind and efficient staff, they made my son and Daughter in laws wedding superb, nothing was too much for them. Attention to detail was superb.
Would highly recommend for a wedding.
Special mention to Alice who taxi’d my daughter and boyfriend back to nearby hotel, kind and thoughtful and a credit to the team.

Amazing little property with warm and welcoming staff. Fabulous rooms and great location — a real treat!

We had our wedding here on Friday 7th May. All staff were exceptional in making our day perfect. The food was Devine too.

We cannot thank Maison Talbooth enough for the huge effort they went to to make my daughter’s small, covid secure outdoor wedding reception happen. The staff were delightful, the food excellent and the service amazing. They went the extra mile with heaters, blankets and even hot water bottles to keep us warm sitting outside. I would highly recommend for a meal or celebration event.

Staff and managers rude, unhelpful and inflexible when we tried to amend our booking. And no, it wasn’t because they were full.

What a break! I had my hen do here, fantastic service, gorgeous surroundings and the most incredible champagne afternoon tea! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back!

We had a spa two night break, 6 ladies, fabulous food, especially Le Talbooth, great beauty treatments and relaxation in the hot tub and pool. Lovely bedrooms and a very enjoyable experience. Will definitely recommend.

We stayed at Maison Talbooth for my husbands birthday surprise, we were not disappointed, the pool house and outdoor jacuzzi were out of this world, with the weather it felt like being in the south of France, so peaceful and serene. The food and the drink at the hotel was fantastic, our room, well it was incredible and very luxurious, the staff were so helpful taking our bags from the car to our room and a letter explaining we’d be taken to le Talbooth for our dinner reservation as soon as we were ready to go, taken in a very exquisite car it really added to our experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting a luxurious break away from it all. Worth every penny. Thank you we’ll definitely be back.

Le maison is one of our favourite local places. A few days after our getting married we had a beautiful private family wedding brunch here with a traditional teas and delicious food. The setting is very peaceful and relaxed on a comfortable lounge sofas. The views of dedham vale and immaculate gardens make it a gorgeous location for photos. We have some stunning photos from here and the children were playing nicely on the lawns, despite being a luxury venue it still feels you can enjoy feeling at home. The staff are always very polite and accommodating. We have stayed and visited here a few times and always enjoy the serene setting. It is a unique luxury hotel that stil feels cosy and restful.

Stayed here a few times and once was after our amazing wedding down the road at Le Talbooth. The Staff are excellent and attended to our wishes, the guests who stayed in the hotel as well commented on how beautifully presented and unique their rooms were and we all enjoyed the hangover curing breakfast! We will be back for our anniversary!

Lovely setting for afternoon tea. The staff had set up a table for us outside on the terrace and inside in the lounge so that we could choose where we sat when we arrived which was a great welcome. The sandwiches were good and the kitchen accommodated for dietary requirements by making a salad for one of our group instead. Scones were served warm and there is a good selection of teas. You also get a big selection of mini cakes. The cakes were a bit hit and miss and the most disappointing part of the tea. The egg custard slice and cheesecake were delicious but the macaroons were dry and the mini treacle tart was over cooked. After the afternoon tea was put on the table the staff did not attend to our table again and we had to get up & find them to ask for tea to be topped up, to order more drinks, to request a bill etc. The poor service at the end was a shame. A lovely quiet venue for afternoon tea with family though. We took our grandparents and it was a great quiet, comfortable venue for them. The afternoon tea is reasonably priced too at £24pp.

Very well looked after. Rooms a bit pricey (if paying full price) for standard. Pool area clean and modern. Friendly helpful staff. Car to take you le talboth.

A little tricky to find as down a country road off the a12 with a tight turn in but ample parking once there. Grounds are clean and well kept Afternoon tea was lovely and reasonably priced.

Cannot praise this place and the staff highly enough. They made our family Christmas really special. Expensive but worth every penny.

5 stars just isn't enough, Maison Talbooth and Milsom Hotels are truly out of this world when it comes to fine wine, fine food and truly out of this world rooms to stay in, staff are wonderful, I highly recommend.

Amazing location and food.

Stayed overnight for my 40th birthday. Our room, Masefield, was beautiful and spotless. We had complimentary tea and a selection of cakes on check in. The cooked breakfast is the best I have ever had. Courtesy car to Milsoms restaurant in the evening for a fabulous meal. Staff are attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The best luxury hotel experience in a long time.

Stayed here with friends for my wife's birthday in December 2015. Lovely rooms, nice views and great food, waiters were excellent and knew the wine list inside out. One issue I had was after our bed had been turned down in the evening room service had left their work phone in our room, this we didn't find out until about 06:00 a. M when it was ringing every 5 minutes! This was extremely annoying, it was brought to the attention of room services and reception but all I received was a smile and an oops. So disappointing as this place had been recommended to us and we'd waited a long time to stay here. One last thing, why on check out do reception ask if everything was OK, then you tell them the problem and nothing gets done, not even an apology!

Stayed here for Three Nights just to get away from the Busy Life. I was not expecting anything out of the ordinary but when I arrived I was wrong. This Hotel is a really nice place to stay. The Service is Brilliant and all the people that worked there made you feel really welcome. Each room is styled differently which had a good feel a touch about it. The EnSuites where the best par for me, especially the Shakespeare suite, spacious and very nice. If I had to choose I would stay in the Masefield again. Over the three nights I moved from The Browning Room then the Shakespeare Suite and the last I was in the Masefield. The mini bar unlike other hotels rooms was stocked with Alcohol but the good touch — the Juice Drinks and the Biscuits were free. They also have an Swimming Pool and a Jacuzzi which I used everyday. With a Honesty Bar where you serve yourself and all they ask is that you write down what you had and hand in the form. The Log Fire outside was a very nice touch as well. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and have a quiet few days I would recommend this Hotel. The Staff were nothing but nice and Helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
