Staying for the weekend. Friendly staff, dog friendly lovely clean rooms.

Staff were amazing same with the food would totally recommend and a kids cocktail.

Great local restaurant and hotel. Great staff working under difficult conditions with social distancing.

Had a fantastic 2 night stay. Just finished dinner in the restaurant, can't fault the food or service. Nice and clean, one way systems in place, all staff on masks or visors. Staff were very friendly and professional, willing to go above and beyond.
Was very impressed with the staffs and duty managers patience whilst dealing with an extremely rude lady on the table opposite us.

Rooms were very dusty husband had to get different outfit on as put his clothes over the chair were they were all marked with dust (black). Beds felt like springs coming through also booked a double room had 2single beds put together. Went to have a meal at night after being seated half hour still no service it was appauling not even offered a drink as no ordering at the bar fair enough due to present circumstances to busy talking amongst themselves. Got up and left went to Marston's down the road drink and food within 20minutes and it was packed was very good. So got up in the morning for our breakfast very slow. Husband asked for tea was given coffee no saucer breakfast came cold and rubbery as was probably left under heat lamp too long so no I won't be going back and certainly won't be recommending it to anyone.

Had a very good enjoyable meal here, stopping on a long journey to let the traffic clear. Good meal, very comfortable restaurant and welcoming staff. Served quickly which is important on a long trip.

Had a meal here with friends that I was vising, food was ok & staff were very nice, but the atmosphere was ruined by a couple who were on their laptop with their phones constantly ringing. I know it's a hotel but seriously turn your phones down at least! It was very annoying.

Visited for my first time and found the place very welcoming and very nice decor. The food I order was nicely presented and really enjoyed it. The waitress that was on shift (holly) was very friendly and helpful. I could not fault this place if I tried.

Query on price for room when got here as the email confirmation price was cheaper than the price they wanted to charge me. Also they quoted £10 per night per dog and charged me £15 per night per dog. Beautiful rooms and hotel is gorgeous inside and bonus of letting 2 large dogs stay too. Beautiful grounds. Stayed here before and each time we are all welcome and great staff just a shame about having to contest their prices when you have had a very long journey and just want to have a drink and a meal.

This place is a complete joke. Waited over an hour for our main course and had to go to the bar and queue for drinks. Eventually gave up waiting and told the hapless “Manager” we were leaving. No apology and still had to pay for the drinks (expected to pay for them) AND the starters which were average at best. Talk about rubbish customer service. They obviously rely on passing tourist trade and holiday people from the nearby caravan park. Well, at least the locals know what this place is like.

Blown away by the service from start to finish. We stopped here the before a big event and when I was checking in I met the manager who was very welcoming, conversation started and this friendly manner continued to when we checked out. Bar staff were spot to. Breakfast in the morning was really good, one of my colleagues asked for an omelette on his fry and got it, no hassle! Nothing seemed to much trouble, even letting us start breakfast early as we we're leaving early. I would stay here again if I'm over that way as it's only a few miles from Bournemouth Pier.

This hotel has certainly been turned around by the new management Ive been staying here for 18 months 3 nights a week on business and the difference is incredible since Audrey has been here. Rooms are spotless food is good and free parking highly recommend a stay.

Very nice food good selection on the menu. Daughter has fajitas which were very nice. Just seemed to be a lack of staff so service was a bit slow. But overall very good. Comfortable seating.

Nice, clean, modern rooms. Staff were helpful. Breakfast could have been better (the porridge is the worst I've ever had). Room service was good. Cleaners didn't clear away our tray from the previous night. Overall not bad.

We didn't stay in the hotel, but were very disappointed by the service and cleanliness in the restaurant, which had staff who ignored customers a lot, and weren't very helpful. We were shown to a table that had food on the floor underneath and didn't have either menus or sauces on it. I saw to members of staff chatting, oblivious to the fact that someone was waiting for service at the bar.

My family & I had a meal last night: we only live locally. The food was nice but I wasn’t overly happy that the food was coming out at different times. Half our table had nearly finished whilst the other half was still waiting for their food. The waiter then proceeded to take our plates away whilst some of us were still eating which I thought was quite rude. Like I said the food was nice but we won’t be in a rush to go back.

Stayed here Friday night as a last min booker and got a great deal for a room, which was lovely. Twin room but not a biggie as I'm 37weeks pregnant and my other half needed some sleep haha. We aren't local and came to Bouremouth for the day as the weather has been unreal lately. So we looked for a last min deal to save the 3hour car journey home. Like I said great room, bathroom was lovely. Very clean and left us menus on our beds which I thought was a really nice touch as the restaurant/bar looked great. The bed and pillows need changing. I had 4 hours sleep as they are hard as rocks and the room temperature was so hot. Only thing letting my rating down for you guys as honestly the beds need looking at. Pretty average menu, service was extremely slow and there was only two staff on which for a Friday night does seem slim. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Would only come back if new pillows and beds were installed. We do come to Bournemouth a great deal.

Really disappointed… ate here for the last night of our holiday. Which up until then was amazing. Ordered at the bar. No issues young barman very polite. Ate our starters. Waited. Waited. Got more drinks. Waited. No one cleared our starters. Asked at the bar whilst getting another drink. Said would be 5 mins… 25 mins later… an hour in total. I asked waiter. 10 mins later he came out with our food. No apologies just put it on table and left. Food was mediocre obviously been sat on side for a while as sauce skinned over and chicken overcooked. Served warm at best… as we left. No-one acknowledged us. Said Thank you or anything. The female waitress walked right past us. Knowing we weren't happy. Didnt even make eye contact. Worst service we have had all week! Won't be returning or recommending to anyone else!

Attended my brothers wedding. Rooms were lovrly and tastefully decorated, food was good and staff very friendly especially George.

Lovely restaurant pub, relaxed and decorated in a Maine New England vibe We had a wedding going on within the hotel area, whilst having our meal. This did not stop the fabulous service and welcome we received. I am gluten free and they couldn't be more helpful. Definitely a pub/hotel I would recommend.

We stopped off here for breakfast… ordered coffee which came cold although was reheated when informed. Breakfast was cold and not therefore enjoyable. We didn't enjoy our visit.

Father in law was staying at hotel invited us for sunday lunch. Really nice food although veg was pretty hard. Otherwise lovely.

Food poor. Tuna sandwich very very basic cheap tuna on white no options offered. Coffee was slightly coffee flavoured hot water with a portion of cold milk. Nice building, good decor. Staff non responsive.

Friendly, very accommodating as my mum is disabled. A call the night before we arrived, allowed them to shuffle rooms around for her to be easy access. Restaurant lovely, recommended.

Attended a wake at this hotel. I felt very sorry for the family. They had just said good bye to a loved one and deserved a good experience. The family planned and paid for the use of the large function room. It was a cold wet day and the room was very cold. There was no heating on at all. Myself and other guest turned the radiators on. There was 1 bar man… should have been two. The buffet was not ready on time and it was incomplete. The tea and coffee was not available without a long walk to the other bar which then had to be paid for… again not as previously planned. The money put behind the bar for drinks was also an issue. There was not one member of staff to meet and greet or check that everyone was catered for. The receptionist was ignorant and unhelpful. A horrible experience. Very disappointing.

Worst roast ever. Frozen roast potatoes, stuffing made from rubber, all dished up lukewarm. Very over priced. If you want a half decent roast dinner, stick to Toby Carvery.

A good look pub / hotel / restaurant. Spacious, clean and modern with a decent sized carpark. To be honest, the food was slightly below par for the price, but not bad. Staff were nice and attentive though.

Food was average at best. My order came out wrong so I sent it back. It came back again with my partner and my steak overcooked. Then final time the food came out it was better. The biggest issue is the ignoramus I assume is the manager. He offered no apology for the mistake. He made me feel like I was an inconvenience and he had the customer service skills of a spoon. will not be recommending to anyone!

Good reasonably priced food in a lovely clean environment. Friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

The food took over an hour to come to the table and we originally told half an hour wait. As I’m still waiting for Deseret which has already been a 30min wait can’t comment on how long it takes to put some ice cream into a bowl. Time dispears here like a episode of doctor who so be aware. Have to keep chasing service to find out what’s going on. Food is average nothing special.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Stayed for Christmas (2016 & 2017). Staff were always friendly. The food in the restaurant is lovely, nice range of alcohol at the bar and bar staff always on top form. The only thing I would mention is the hotel is not very close to any attractions or towns but there is a garage on the other side of the road to kind of fill that void. The only thing I would say against the hotel is when we stayed in 2017 the Christmas lunch we felt like we got forgotten about as we were sat in a corner of the restaurant but there were understaffed that Christmas. All in all a very pleasant place to stay with great staff.

Good value lunch friendly service and pub has just been renovated.

Not good. Room was very cold. No heating on until we asked. Food was nice but 'cool'… went for a works party. Waited 20 minutes later than 'sit down' time for the starter to come and then had to wait another hour before main meal appeared. Band very late starting to. Play by which time quite a few people were fed up. Some left even b4 desert.

Good value food, very good service, used it for clieny meeting.

Food 5/5 — hot fresh made breakfast included if you into dinner also not bad and on the menu, you should find something. Room 3/5 all doh nice bed overall the rooms are not as clean as you suspect and a little bit smelly… Staff 4/5 polite and helpful but for serious stuff, you need to talk with a manager… Bonus round: We were staying there (4 guys) for about week and that was a little adventure. Heating problems with 2 rooms (additional heaters broke down as well), no light after rain 1 room. And my favourite! a day before leaving we ask for an invoice, and on it, we get few additional things we haven't ordered… It will be no big deal if somebody could strait that up but no (no manager) and we were told that revised invoice will be sent by email and money returned (we talk with manager on phone) … Guess what? still waiting…

Just spent an amazing weekend here for my sisters wedding and I can't fault the place. The venue and the staff were amazing we felt welcomed from the moment we checked in. We had a family room and it was perfect for the 4 of us with plenty of room for my travel cot. The staff set up for the evening reception to my sisters exact requests. Thank you to everyone who worked this weekend I will be sure to recommend you.

Stayed a few times on business, rooms are spacious very clean, very good shower. Food is good and reasonably priced. Shame there’s not a TV to watch the football ⚽️

We ordered soup and a kids meal with a pot of tea for two. Have driven past a million times. Worth a stop. Clean toilets & good food.

A beautiful hotel with delicious food and a good selection of local beers. The beds are really comfortable. And breakfast is amazing.

Excellent position for the New Forest and Bournemouth. Newly refurbished to a good standard although no electric shaver in the bathroom. Decent budget hotel.

My husband and I recently held our Ruby Wedding Anniversary party at the St Leonards hotel. We re-created our 1977 wedding reception by having one of the hotel's wedding packages and all our 60 guests arrived in 70's clothes. It was BRILLIANT! Events manager Karen was superb in understanding what we wanted to do and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone I talked to at the St Leonards from making the initial booking in January to checking out the Sunday after were interested and all did what they promised to do. It is a good team, and they all want to give great service. So a big Thank You to Karen, Anna, Amy and Jane. You gave us a day to remember.

Had roast lunch which was plated up then microwaved, the centre of the meal was warm but the outer surface was stone cold. I had to ask for a knife da one had not been set. The staff were chatting at the till area and the person who brought our meals was wiping his nose with his fingers. We had just finished our lovely tour of France and thought it nice to end with a traditional English roast dinner. We will not go back.

Great stay with my wife and our two year old. Rooms were fantastic for the rate and restaurant was lovely too. We had breakfast in the morning and would have expected to pay more. One thing I'd like to see is a playground in the gardens, apart from that would definitely recommend and stay again.

Recommended by my Dad. Lovely food, great atmosphere. The only down side was the fish had a fair few bones. We just might be spoiled by having boneless cod normally.

Excellent Sunday roast. Almost a full serving of your 5 a day well cooked meat roast and mash potatoes, pigs in blankets Yorkshire pudding and stuffing.

Good location. With lovely gardens. However we had to change rooms twice due to the rooms being dirty. The final room we ended up in wasn't that clean either but didn't notice till morning.

Room was dirty! Carpet not hoovered, crisp packet under table from previous guest, dirt up wall by door, hole in outside patio door where a lock used to be and sausage at breakfast raw in middle! Sorry but didn't sleep a wink.

Travelodge Hooters are always an easy choice. The only reason for losing a star is the only restaurant choice is the little chef.

I came in for dinner on a friday evening with my husband, we are new to the area and it's our local pub. We were met by a red haired lady who was scruffily dressed and very rude, the other young waiter was very polite and attended to our needs, however he was talked down to by this woman who made our experience indirectly very unpleasant. Wouldn't recommend coming here unless that woman is removed.

You get an hour free Wi-Fi and then pay for 24 hours, which nearly two months on I am still waiting for the refund as it never worked, we are also still waiting for an e — voucher for one night's accommodation as our room was dirty and the smoke alarm kept going off every time we used the shower, not impressed, staff were nice, the little chef was extortionately priced and service was appalling would not stay at a travelodge again.

What a lovely and unpretentious team. Everyone made us feel welcome over our 3 day stay. Good size rooms too and comfortable beds. Not a fan of the 'Eco Smart' shower.

Stayed there recently. I wouldn't stay here again! A power cut happened in the middle of the night. I went to reception in the morning and asked when the electric will be back on and they said 10 o clock. They also said that there had been another power cut 3 weeks previously. After this I would have made an emergency plan so that the guests were able to use the facilities but the staff didn't know what to do. When I went down the stairs I couldn't see a thing as there was not even any emergency lighting, ridiculous. While there was no power, we couldn't get any water in our room which meant we were unable to wash or even have a drink! We are not happy with this hotel and how they treated us. No wonder why it is two stars.

Stayed here for 2 weeks now. Rooms well appointed, staff friendly & helpful, restaurant food is good with a good choice & portion size. Breakfast is also good but I did find the cheese omelette a bit bland, there was cheese in it but it had no flavour, I recommend the Croque Madame, really tasty! Also good real ale with 1 guest ale every week. Only advice I would give is try & get a room at the back as the nearby dual carriageway can be a bit noisy.

Can't comment on the hotel element. Ate in the restaurant on the evening before mother's day 2016. The menu was nice and varied, but the food itself was very average, with some deviation from the menu descriptions. The vegetable looked and tasted like they had been cooking for hours, the soup tasted great, but was microwaved judging by the hot/cold patches in the bowl and the waitress was clueless, forgetting soup spoons, side plates for the shared starter platter and taking plates away while some were still eating. Not really encouraged to go back again, which is a shame considering the proximity to my family.

Stayed there once for a couple of nights. Very comfortable beds and reasonably priced.

Went for a three course meal with Ollie Murrs tribute. Both the food snd the entertainment were excellent. Good staff, good atmosphere and I even danced! Great value! Going again to Elton John Tribute on 6th March.

Very pleasant, food OK apart from different size portions when busy, staff very good that's why we are going back for the new year. Can't wait for it.

Booked a table for six for 7.00pm. Arrived at 6.50pm. No-one on reception and no greeting. After hanging about in the entrance for 10 mins we entered the dining room and asked a waitress about our table. She pointed one out near the door. We purchased our drinks at the bar and our order was eventually taken about 15 mins later. The food arrived in dribs and drabs, mostly lukewarm except for the chips which were stone cold. One dish was sent back to be reheated. The table surface was so sticky that one plate stuck to it. We will not be setting foot in this place again but for a good restaurant we recommend "Al Trullo" in nearby Verwood.

I see a lot of people have given good reveiws for this hotel and I just can't understand why, I often stay in premier inn hotels while working and rate this hotel way below their standard. To start with the rooms are not as clean as they could have been. The bathroom had mould growing in it and paint pealing off the ceiling. The extra pillows in the walldrobe had the hair of the previous guest attached to them so had obviously not been changed. The TV in the room has only 4 channels on offer which I find strange as even most budget hotels have cable TV. The food in the resturant is really nothing special and I was expecting better. At dinner we waiting to be seated for nearly ten minutes while staff walked past totally ignoring us. After a very average main meal we ordered dessert, we waited over twenty minutes before the waiter realised he had forget to give our order in to the kitchen! Breakfast wasn't really any better and In general the staff really didn't seem interested in making you feel welcome. The location of the hotel is not as good as discribed. It is situated right on the busy A31 so you have constent traffic noise and many of the main attractions in Dorset are well over an hours drive away, apart from bournmouth which is around 20 minutes. So to sum up this review I would say that although I have stayed in worse hotels, this is one I wouldn't recommend and I certainly wouldn't come back.
