This is one of the loveliest places I've stayed and at a really good price! beautiful harbour views, immaculately clean rooms with extra fans, heaters, blankets, little fridge, Hairdryer, tea, coffee, toilettries etc. Plenty of electrical outlets. The staff I've encountered have all gone above and beyond, so welcoming! The breakfast was lovely but the evening meal was outstanding and such a good price! we got a 3 course meal for around £50 and it was such high quality, and no long waits between courses. Service was brilliant! I honestly couldn't fault it! 5

RNLI college is an amazing facility for Crew to come and train, and maintain and advance their ‘Life saving skills’ as well as an superb hotel for the public, and tours. You can even hold a wedding reception here that in turn saves lives at sea, it is a very special place for Crew and supporters alike.

The RNLI College is ideally situated in Poole. Beautiful views from all the rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Can be recommended as a place to stay.

Loved it, well looked after and the training team really go the extra mile to make sure get the most out your training.

We had a very comfortable night at the college hotel followed by an excellent breakfast; so much variety, good quality, hot breakfasts, cold items, fruits, pastries, cereals and very impressed that the quality coffee machine offers decaffeinated coffee too. Interested now to try their afternoon tea. My husband and I are both happy to highly recommend the hotel and restaurant.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay for RNLI enthusiasts young and old. Fantastic views from the rooms and great location. The bonus being your stay helps the charity. I recommend taking the Tour however after going in the simulator it put me off joining up 😆

Lovely friendly place, very clean, excellent service, delicious food. Enjoyed watching all the activities with the boats. The discovery tour was very interesting & informative. Fully recommend.

Beautiful Hotel. Lovely food Staff were very friendly and very helpful especially when coming to the aid in rescuing my little ones doritos that he managed to lock in the safe. Stunning views. We did the college tour which was very interesting and insightful the boys loved the boat simulator. Highly recommend a stay here.

Arrived home yesterday after my 2 day EOP course. The college itself is stunning, in a stunning location. The staff and instructors were amazing and so helpful. Alicia from the restaurant really looked after us at meal times as did the rest of the team. Thank you. Can't wait to get back down.

EVERYTHING, just returned from a few days stay at the college and WOW! The room and bathroom was very clean, the bed was super comfy and had a brilliant view. Stayed here with my husband for just a few days away and we are so glad we did. Staff are attentive and friendly. Food and drink great too, cannot fault it at all. Thank you.

Excellent service, staff are all really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. We came for the Launch a Memory tour of the Clifton lifeboat and throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming again. We would highly recommend a stay here.

I am a crew member (volunteer) but couldn't recommend this place enough. Attended a few courses here — the facilities are excellent. The views across the bay are lovely & we enjoyed our stay very much.

It's one of Poole's best kept secrets, but don't tell anyone find out for your self. If you need a chill pill then it's the place to do that. 🍷

Had a superb stay. Only one night but that convinced us to come back after covid restrictions are lifted so we can take some of the yours.
Great food & service, bar prices comparable to elsewhere & a real comfortable room.
Staff were very helpful.

No staff, 35 mins wait for drinks, 45 mins wait for mains, wasn’t very hot when it arrived, only one person on the bar and also taking food orders! He was amazing tho! Harry was his name! Just poor service through lack of staff! Might not come again for a while …

Wonderful views, beautiful rooms, excellent value, friendly staff — cannot recommend highly enough. I’d love to see more boutique hotels popping up in locations that they operate from, as an additional income stream to support the vital work they do — I’m sure they’d go down a storm. We will always try to stay here when we come back to Poole in future.

Very nice Evening spent at the restaurant, lovely food. We were looked after by ellie. Who previded superb service, and fulfilled our request for a bailey's coffee, which was excellent. Meals were ordered and served with minimum wait. Kenneth ball.

Good hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
Food and drinks — except for the filter coffee — were also very good.
Rooms were a nice size and well equipped — but very hot, even using the tower fan provided, as windows only open an inch or so for safety reasons.

Ive just completed my third training course at the college, as usual the standard of training was excellent, but I'd also like to applaud the staff that deal with the hotel side. From the reception staff to the staff in the restaurant and bar to teh people dealing with cleaning the rooms everyone was really friendly, welcoming and helpful. A special mention goes to Alex on reception who on my last two courses, last week and in 2017 couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The trainiers and fundraisers who make the training possible are fantastic, but the staff who do teh day to day running of teh college are a credit to the institution!

Have been several times for dinner & breakfast. Lovely afternoon tea. Sandwiches, cakes and scones to die for! Very good price, will definitely be back again soon!

Totally worth going for dinner, top food and relaxed atmosphere. We will be going back!

A clean, well-equipped room, friendly helpful staff and limited on-site parking. It also has some beautiful views across the water. When we went it was cheaper to stay there than the local Premier Inn/Travelodge and with comparable or better facilities. The only slight gripe was that the buffet breakfast was workmanlike rather than truly good but very acceptable for the price.

First visit to RNLI's Riggers restaurant for Sunday lunch with my daughter and future son in law. The buffet was amazing, food quality excellent as was the service delivered by dedicated well dressed staff. Restaurant and toilets were spotlessly clean and the bill was half the price you would expect to pay in any comparable hostelry. Needles to say I will be returning in the very near future!

The reception staff were excellent. Very welcoming and attentive. The room was clean, warm and modern with plenty of cupboard space to hang clothes. The bed was comfortable and the room had views of the harbour. Breakfast was included in the price and was of a good standard. I'd happily stay there again.

We had our wedding here 4th Nov 2017. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Stephen planned our whole event and took off all the pressure from the beginning.
Richard ran the day like clockwork ensuring everything ran smoothly and everyone was where they were supposed to be at the right time, even to counting us down through the music intro for my Dad and I to walk in.
Andy and his team tended our guests throughout the day and evening ensuring everyone was happy.
The food for the day and evening was fantastic.
A massive thank you to you all for your hard work and making our special day fantastic. You guys rock.

Fantastic place! Friendly staff great food nice bar and a fleet of lifeboats! What more could you want! Just a short walk to the quay and local shops near by (not that you need them)

Attended Casualty Care for Lifeguards at the RNLI College 7th, 8th, 9th July 2017. Team at the college were first class, the facilities are excellent and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. Thank you very much to the Casualty Care trainer and assessor team for delivering a brilliant course, which was much appreciated by all. Thank you to all the staff in the college who support the delivery of courses and clearly do a fantastic job! I also do timed Lifeguard swims in the sea survival pool and wave tank, which is awesome! I'd love to see it in full action at some point. A side note on parking — would be really helpful if you provide details of the minor mystery of parking restrictions at the college to those attending courses before they arrive as there was a degree of confusion at the start of our course. However, this in no way detracted from a brilliant course in a wonderful place. Thank you.

We only popped in for a look around and a Sunday morning cup of coffee. Having seen this place many times whilst visiting Poole and Dorset but never entered. Was very impressed by the friendliness of all the staff from the man in the cafe, to the lovely lady in the shop and the very helpful reception staff. — as representatives of the RNLI they're doing them proud! We'll definitely be back to stay and have a tour! ps the views over the bay were awesome and very relaxing!

Absolutely love this place. Friendly staff and great dining experience. On a lovely evening it is a fabulous place to enjoy a chilled vino overlooking the lifeboats in the bay. Thoroughly recommend a visit for lunch or one of their open day events.

Stayed for five nights whilst attending an RNLI crew course.
The accommodation was fresh, very well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. Food was very good, service excellent and the staff all very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. I won't embarrass or single out any particular members of staff, quite simply because they were all brilliant and I'd hate to miss one out.
Bar prices very reasonable, especially for a hotel but even when compared to other local hostelries. Views over the harbour and lifeboat pontoon are very nice, and the sunset reflected across the water is something special (but not captured on camera as I was enjoying my food too much to leave the table)
Would definitely consider staying again, even if not attending a course.
