Great great place. Realy close to all of the things you would want to see a decent pool and if you wany somewhere cheap cpme here its at a good price and its a 3 star hotel.

The view over the sea is very nice. It's a bit far from the train station but close to the city Center.

This is definitely a place to stay with lovely staff and food is just amazing. It's by the sea side and a place to be in the summer as well.

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION This hotel is now being used for students to live in. I'm guessing because when it was a hotel it wasn't doing very well & someone decided to buy it and rent it out to students. We were told before we moved in that it was in association with our university, and that we would be catered for and well looked after. Wrong. Me and many others have been mislead and ripped off completely, the food is vile and small portions too. My hot water tap runs yellow so the water isn't clean, which is basically the only place we can get water from. The rooms are filthy, it was still a hotel with guests in 3/4 days before we moved in, so my room was not even cleaned when I moved into it. We pay £700 a month rent and some students pay more! Would not recommend and if anyone is looking to live here for student accommodation I advise STRONGLY to look elsewhere. Once you are bound into a contract there is nothing you can do. A massive joke all in all. Would not even feed the food to my DOG!

Ocean view student accommodation! Absolutely do not recommend any students to stay here at all. Rooms are disgusting and out dated as well as an ridiculous price. The hotel take advantage of students and serve them dry tiny portions of food each night. Hotel was obviously struggling for money before by the looks of recent reviews and thought they could rip student off. Students here have had several problems with there rooms and they simply can’t be bothered and are uncapable of sorting anything out. AVOID this place definitely do not recommend.

A good value hotel with a pool and views over the sea. A great location and it's a lovely walk from the hotel down to Bournemouth pier.

If you don't mind paying £200 a night for cracking floors. Leaking radiators, and broken bath and mould on windows then you might enjoy staying close to beach.

Go dancing here quite often, great place, great atmosphere drinks could be a little bit less expensive.

The hotel itself is old and dated, not worth the money. It needs a serious renovation.
Bonus — free parking and beach is right there.
Reality — Paid 17 quid for breakfast for myself and my partner for one morning — continental consisted of stale croissants and cereal whilst the cooked consisted of buffet fried eggs, fried sausage, bacon and tinned toms and beans, all of which (except toms and beans) were smothered in grease. The drink options were warm juice and basic tea/coffee. The waitress smiled, pleasant enough. The waiter, looked like he couldn't be bothered.
The room, smelled. Not bad, not good, just old. Foosty. The bed was painful. My partner has a bruise on her hip from it. My back is suffering greatly. The toilet although clean, was not inviting. The laminate flooring raised in a few places and our feet stuck to it.
The door to the room did not close properly and was incredibly loud to open/close; seemed the same FOR EVERY OTHER ROOM also. The walls are paper thin also. If you want a peaceful, comfortable and private few days away — this is not the hotel for you.
Upon departure, we weren't asked how our stay was, if we had a nice time or anything like that — just a polite smile and here's your bill for breakfast.
I'm not even sure if there was a goodbye. We just paid and left.
All in all, a disappointing stay that we had looked forward to for 3 months.

We stayed at Ocean View last night to celebrate a birthday. All the staff were very friendly, the hotel was dated but it was clean and tidy. The bar was shut but we used the one next door. Free parking was a bonus & only a short walk to the beach/town. We enjoyed our stay thank you.

Just there for one night, hotel rather old fashioned but pleasant enough. Breakfast was nice and staff friendly.

Bit basic and in need of being modernised. Very friendly staff, just a shame the bar closed so early.

Lovely location, friendly service, room could be more aesthetic, but comfortable and clean.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and in working order. Floorboards creaky, sometimes vey noisy at night (depending on room). Overall, could do with some refurbishment. Events/functions were adequately catered for; but more lighting/installation options and staff on hand would help.

Excellent hotel, very friendly and helpfull staff, room was very clean, would go there again.

Was there to see an Elvis tribute, so not staying. However the drinks and food are expensive. The service is rubbish. Ordered Salmon sandwiches in brown and two bowls of chips. £12.95. Sandwiches turned up after 10minutes in white, sent back, 35 minutes later I asked and they were given me. No chips ever came. Had to ask for my money back.

The singer was not bad and certainly got the crowd going. The food was average, although wasn't too impressed with the potatoes and couldn't believe how tight the waitress was with the gravy. She was not impressed that my friend and I had asked for more and what she gave wouldn't have satisfied a baby. Two Mail staff members were very friendly and helpful, sorry I can't remember their names. One wore his glasses on his head and the other gentleman was quite big, lovely smile and an accent. Thank you for making our evening a fun one.

When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded. Stayed in room 109 we were pleasantly surprised room was lovely, staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ok will defo go back here when we go to bournemouth again!

Tried to book a room for next weekend. Was told I had to fill out a form online. The form that was sent was read only. How the hell you sign a form online God only knows. Booking staff didnt appear to know what they were doing. I ended up cancelling the booking. So because of a ridiculous policy of this hotel they lost a customer.

It was a lovely hall for party's but just so expensive for drinks.

Lovely interior and great service.

Very dated rooms. Floor boards are really bad. You can hear the entire hotel waking up through the night with this. Staff however are extremely helpful and polite.

Security and event was good, hall and toilets could be bigger.

Spacious double room with ensuite bathroom. Pleasant staff and excellent facilities. Very short walk to the town centre and beach.

Me and my wife had booked it through an travel agency. We paid for a sea view double room and when we got there it was not available for us! We were moved to two different rooms before we got a sea view room! Very pricy for the standards of the hotel and breakfast is not inclusive. Food was average and there were not many vegetarian options too. The service was average too as when we needed help, there was one receptionist running around and we got told that rest of the staff was occupied helping in an event in its banqueting hall for a wedding. However the view was very pleasant once we got sea view room and everything was very close by. There are two piers near by from which I would recommend The Bournemouth Pier. Very nice area and lots of activities nearby! Apart from this hotel, Bournemouth is a great place to go! Me and my wife would give this but just due to the sea view would give it. Otherwise don't waste your money for this place! Very overly priced for what it has to offer.
