Just had a really enjoyable evening to complete my birthday. Great Quiz Night and excellent food. Thank you to Louise, Mark and all the staff what a wonderful atmosphere.

Very warm welcome on the 7th aug, food was delicious, service was very friendly, will definitely be visiting again!

A really lovely meal we have all enjoyed tonight. Fish and chips and pork burger. Really nice and pleasant welcome from the staff too. We will definitely be recommending you.

Stays one night early this month, all staff lovely nice evening meal nothing to much trouble, hot plates a bonus, room not large but nice a warm and bedding immaculate, breakfast good, and would stay there again.

A little goldmine set in the middle of nowhere surrounded by lovely nature and fields of cute little lambs with VERY attentive and friendly hosts and nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was exceptional, they have a very talented chef. The steak was the best ever eaten anywhere! On route to Cornwall for the weekend to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and we were hoping for an overall good experience and the Thelbridge cross inn set the right tone and gave us a fabulous stay so thank you very much. We will definitely be back and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. This place was so lovely I just had to reveiw x.

What a pleasant surprise!
The food is absolutely second to none, all of the staff (including the owners, ) were friendly, helpful and just couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was perfect.
The bedroom we stayed in could probably do with a bit of attention and work — but I’m sure the owners are getting to this part of their pride and joy.
We will certainly be back (even though it’s an hours drive away. ) Keep the passion running guys!

Would agree with others, don't let the exterior put you off. Excellent Sunday Roast. Fast, polite service, generous portions. Lovely rare beef. Lose the Aunt Bessie's spuds and it would be perfect. Other dishes all home made and again generous portions. Would recommend. Knocked the spots off the food on offer at the nearby campsite. Very accommodating and child friendly.

Nice pub, good menu to choose from, plenty of parking seats outside and a little garden to relax in if you prefer too.

What a gem of place. Shepherds Pie made with lamb shank. Authentic tasting Indian curry… Needless to say, we both really enjoyed our meals. The bar was well stocked and we got the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble. The toilets were spotlessly clean. What more could a customer want?

Out in the sticks. Most of the roads are single tracks, quite frightening when other cars going other way. We stayed two nights. Out through the day, but when you have had your evening meal, there's nothing to do other than go to your room. Our room was fairly big, en suite shower room and loo. TV and Wi-Fi. We over looked farm land, lovely views. Very quite. In the morning, loved our breakfast. Full English, cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Wash it down with a pot of tea.

It's in the middle of nowhere. We stayed here for 2 nights. Needless to say, after you've had your evening meal, there's nothing to do but go to your room. Quite a large room, had TV n Wi-Fi. Kettle n hairdryer also in room on table. Space to hang clothing. Double bed. En suite. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Though we went out days and did alot of walking, couldn't sleep.

Came here by chance on a very quiet bank holiday Monday. A typical English pub, doesn't look much from the outside, but very welcoming staff & locals. Lunch selection was typical English fayre. Very tasty, quality food and reasonable portions too. Glad we stopped here.

Looks a bit tired when you arrive but clean and tidy inside. Welcoming and obliging staff, nice relaxed atmosphere, child friendly and a good menu. Food well presented and generous portions. However, I had to ask for napkins and condiments and after we left, my adult daughter confessed that she'd not eaten all of her ham because it looked rotten after the first couple of slices and some of her chips weren't properly cooked. She also thought my uneaten piece chicken looked slightly pink but certainly most of it was well done.

Staff were very welcoming brillant choice on menu. Bit on the pricey side but was worth every penny. They didnt have a steak bag on the menu but still went and made one any way. Lovely little place only problem is it very of the beaten track.

We stopped over in the motorhome as a pub stop over. It cost us an initial £8.50, and we got 2 £5.00 food vouchers to use in their restaurant, which at the time was doing a 2 for 1 offer on food, so a meal and drinks with all the discounts came to a massive £7.50. So £16 in all They had space for 2 motorhomes, cdp (inns toilets), water, 2 ehu, a really nice place to chill out, remembering it was early january, we will go back in the summer to see what it is like, the down side was the ehu is in a coener of the car park, which feels it has been overlooked or an after thought as it was not kept up at all and in all fairness was a dumping ground for all types of tat, all in all though a flat carpark with all the amenities you need.

My father moved into Witheridge shortly after the Thelbridge changed ownership in the mid-80's. We ate there as a family every time we visited my father on and off for thirty years. The food was always excellent, the service was great. We got to know the owners and all the staff — — great people. My father passed away in May 2017 and we held a celebration of his life there, and discovered that the Thelbridge would soon be under new management. The end of an era.

I just love this little place… nothing is too much trouble here… brilliant food… excellent room… and the staff and owners were the most friendly folks I have ever met… I love Devon, and this little inn is the best in my opinion. Try it folks, you will not be disapointed.

My husband and I stayed on Friday night 10th Nov. Our evening meal and breakfast the following morning was lovely. Our room was very nice. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We would really recommend the Thelbridge Cross Inn.

New owners but food and service remain excellent. Lunch and evening meal this week both very good and great menu. Highly recommended.

The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Food was excellent, plenty of, and all fresh and cooked to order. My partner is vegetarian, they had a good selection, she had a leak and potato pie made with home made pastry, was absolutely gorgeous! They did put the gravy on for her, witch she didn't appreciate, but this is the only grievance we had! We were extremely happy with our short stay! We would definitely return at some point in the future.

A bit dirty and the food was not very good they advertise food all day which is not true they wouldn't cook us anything at 2 30 in the afternoon. The toilets are nicer than the pub. The outside furniture could do with a good clean up.

We had the trio of fish, chicken in peppercorn sauce and the award winning 'Roast of the Day'. While good, weren't particularly special, however we were accommodated for on a quiet easter weekend. The venue was comfortable with interesting items on the walls to look at.
