Absolutely first class! We stayed for a week at The Great Grubb, and were welcomed like royalty by John and Sandra. Nothing was too much trouble, their hospitality was second to none.
Rooms are comfy, and feel like a home away from home. Children and dog friendly, with John being our toddlers new best friend for the duration of the stay…
Breakfast was plentiful, from your toast and cereals to the traditional English brekkie.
The BnB rightly deserves its COVID ‘good to go’ recognition because Sandra is so diligent and her attention to the housekeeping during this time is faultless.
We came to their home as guests, but we felt like we left as family.
We booked to go back for our next short break before we’d even checked out.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Such a warm welcome! Homely and friendly, we enjoyed our stay very much. Sandra and John were amazing hosts, and we felt so comfortable in their home. Breakfast was delicious, too! The rooms have wonderful views and the churchyard makes for an atmospheric dog walk on a misty morning! We would certainly return again and will recommend The Great Grubb to anyone looking for a B&B in Totnes.

Lovely welcome late on Friday evening, rooms were all spotless and very comfortable with a great variety of beverages, delicious breakfasts too. John and Sandra were wonderful hosts, really felt cared for.
