I normally write a review on leaving, but I can’t recommend The Daylesford enough & that’s after just one day, it’s clean & tidy and the hostess goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a happy & comfortable one, if you are visiting Torquay book a room at The Daylesford, Thank you for making us all feel very welcome.
Enjoyed our short stay at 'The Daylesford' Jane & Martin very good hosts, food great, our room very modern & clean, what more can I say other than worth a 5☆

My family and I stayed at the Daylesford B&B from 28/8 to 9/1 and I must say that it was the most gruelling experience ever! I don't want to rant as I understand that this B&B changed hands a year or two ago, and that the service was exceptional before Jessie & David took it over. I travelled with my 10 month old baby, my husband and my elderly mother. When we arrived at the B&B, Jessie greeted us promptly. She stated that the B&B wasn't conducive for children and therefore, she didn't have a high chair or and family friendly facilities (although, she'd offered the larger room as this would fit three of us). First day in, Jessie mentioned that the TV in the sitting room was off bounds however, the room was left opened for guests so don't understand why you'd have a television in plain sight that shouldn't be used. She even scolded my 10 month old for touching her orchids in the sitting room! The breakfast in the morning was ransid with only 1 breakfast item on the plate (per person) and she ran out of orange juice and offered me watered down orange squash instead. The bacon was undercooked and toast was hard as rock. When we asked for it to be toastest lighter, she brought us lukewarm bread with no apology. First day in, the remote control in my mother's room wouldn't work. When we asked Jessie to fix it, she said that my mother could manually change the channels until she could source batteries.
