We have just came back from an amazing night away at the Salcombe Harbour spa. Absolutely faultless! Fabulous food, fantastic facilities, the staff were amazing, so friendly/attentive. 5 stars! Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful views, great food and service.

Stayed here for the first time for my son wedding we stayed in our best estuary room (514). Beautiful hotel and location is stunning, staff are all lovely and very helpful nothing is not too much trouble. Alex in the jetty especially made you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Harriet and all the staff made the wedding prefect and went without a hitch.

Great and friendly place.

We visited for my mum’s 60th birthday, the staff were very accommodating of our requests (helped store our balloons and cake and helped organise surprise room service breakfast with champagne). They even had our cake cut into slices and delivered it to us on checkout in individual boxes ☺️ Only disappointment was not being able to access the spa on our final day as it was full, otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

Just spent 4 days of Christmas there! Such a beautiful tranquil hotel … the staff were absolutely amazing … thank you all for making my family and I feel so special …. We’ll be back … it’s definitely our happy place 🎄❤️

We had a pre booked twilight spa package which was booked and paid for some time ago.
When we arrived, the spa staff were lovely. Fantastic pool, facilities etc. Unfortunately they ran 30minutes behind on our booked treatments. The only thing I would say, is the spa should consider larger robes and towels. The robes were very small, meaning myself and my friend were not covered. Even when we had our massages, we felt self conscious as the towels did not cover us on the beds. I am only a size 14/16. Not obscenely overweight. But very uncomfortable and fat shamed to some degree.
we had a 3 course dinner booked after at 8pm. We arrived at the Jetty and asked to see the appropriate menu for our 3 course meal. The woman left and it took over 30 minutes and a small argument before we could even order.
To be told the offer was no longer running, the deals were usually only a lunch time deal, we could only have 2 courses — not 3, could not order steak.
We were not impressed. We had to call the lady back over to our table after it was evident they were stalling to give us answers. After a small argument we were told we could have our 3 course as they had to oblige.
It was quite an uncomfortable experience all in all and a clear lack of communication from the left hand to the right.
What was meant to be a relaxing evening turned into anything but. Would not recommend for other guests. Especially those who have booked a set menu or are over a size 12.

We had an AMAZING stay! The room was fab with loads of lovely little touches which made it so special. The staff were so friendly. Then on top of that the spa and pool were amazing :) Our stay was a thankyou from the hotel to NHS staff during the pandemic — so thankyou, I’ve left feeling very relaxed and appreciated :)

Just a perfect experience! a beautiful hotel with outstanding views and location. Very helpful staff, polite but really friendly, there wasn't anything that was too much effort for anyone, we were treated like royalty. The standard of food in the restaurant was superb, excellent choice of menu and the staff were a pleasure to be with, courteous but human. This hotel comes highly recommended 🥇

Had a wonderful two nights staying there with friends. Food was absolutely delicious. Could not fault anything. Staff were lovely, all friendly and helpful. The hotel is stylish, immaculate and has beautiful terraces overlooking the estuary. The room was large and had everywhere needed.
Left there feeling like we had a beautiful holiday that compared to any luxury hotel abroad. We were lucky the sun shone the whole time.
Oh and the spa is great too!
Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful location on the bank of the estuary. Excellent staff. Fantastic estuary view room and balcony. Only the food at breakfast and dinner underwhelmed. Really enjoyed our stay and would return for B&B.

Beautiful luxury hotel with great facilities. Simply enjoyed the stunning views of the Salcombe estuary from the room. The location of the hotel is amazing!

My pregnant wife and I had high expectations for this hotel given the price they were charging. We had a lovely welcome with a drink provided on the terrace while waiting for our room to be ready. We proceeded to check into our double room only to find that the bed was two different size single mattresses. Meaning one side was a few inches higher than the other. The hotel did change this but the second mattress was broken and the first nights sleep was like sleeping on a hill, dipping down to one side. Again the hotel changed our mattress and the second night was fine. The room itself was a standard size with a lovely view. They have a few complimentary drinks and a well stocked mini bar but this was offset by a bed throw with stains on it, a broken TV that kept skipping, a broken TV remote which would not allow you to turn the TV off, a entrance door which would not lock and a bath which had a broken plug so would not fill up (not great when my pregnant wife wanted to relax) We highlighted these to the manager on duty and he was very apologetic and did advise that although he could not get some of these fixed in our two night stay he would give us a discount on our room rate. I would expect that for the price you are paying most of these should be standard. Very disappointing.

Had a fantastic stay here over the summer. The hotel is in a great location just on the edge of Salcombe, a few minutes walk takes you through the centre of town. The hotel has its own car park and we parked up a few hours before check in (3pm) and were able to leave out keys with reception. Check in was easy shown to our room and given a quick overview of the facilities and what was available, a really nice touch. Our room was lovely with a great view of the estuary and out to the English Channel. There was complementary sherry and gin (although mixers, which were in the mini fridge, had a charge) plus still and fizzy water. The bathroom was a good size with nice, fluffy towels, a heated towel rail and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (from The White Stuff). The hotel has a good spa with pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna plus you can book various treatments. The restaurant and bar have great views over the estuary and plenty of choice for food and drink. Overall, a great hotel which was comfy and in a great location.

Lovely hotel with stunning views. The staff were all helpful and the food was awesome. Our room was fantastic with beautiful views. The service however in the restaurant was very very slow. We are however looking forward to booking with another Harbour hotel in a different location next.

We had a fantastic meal at the Jetty Restaurant last weekend. Staff were lovely especially The lovely Lady called Alexandra who looked after us. She was so bubbly and friendly which made our experience great. Will definitely return when in Salcombe next year.

Amazing, we were upgraded to the honeymoon suite and had an incredible stay. Lovely extra touches like free alcohol and chocolates. Beautiful setting and a lovely restaurant. The hotel has been perfectly designed.

Awful service and quality. Group of six went for afternoon tea at the Harbour Hotel & Spa; from the word go we were ignored by the restaurant staff, no welcome to the restaurant, very slow and inattentive service, often with a bad attitude. After prompting we managed to get drink menus and service. Food presentation and quality was way below expectations; accommodation for vegetarians was meet with a total rulctance to offer an alternative (even after the waitress asked for any dietary requirements), portion sizes of sandwiches were far too small for six adults, and the macaroon served to us was totally smashed, also food plates and stands were covered in cobwebs! (We have pictures of this! ). No atmosphere in the restaurant, with no background music playing. Some small saviour from the second waiter who took over (kudos to him trying to save the day), but the damage was already done. Save yourself some money and go find an alternative cream tea at one of the many other places along the coast, just not worth the awful service and quality at Salcombe Harbour Hotel & Spa.

Amazing venue with beautiful coastal scenery. The staff are friendly and outgoing. Lonely open bar area, overlooking the water and a great range of drinks available.

We got married here and it was amazing. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Rooms were lovely. Is dog friendly but needs an indoor area where you can eat with your dog's.

Stunning hotel in a beautiful location with the most wonderful staff. Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Spent last week there although only meant to be there for three days. The snow changed our plans! Guests and staff all snowed in together. It could have been disastrous but with smiling staff who couldn't do enough for us and wonderful food it was a joy.

Had an amazing stay. Wish we had longer! Room/bathroom beautiful, a bed I did not want to get out of! Breakfast well done and staff were lovely. Wish it was warmer so I could have tried out the balcony in the restaurant. Will definitely return. Thank you.

We had a great room with estuary view. The room was well appointed — with complimentary sherry & gin plus a decent mini bar. The shower in the bathroom was very good too. The staff couldn't be more helpful. When we left, they collected the car and helped load the luggage, then used the turntable to turn the car back around. The food in the restaurant was superb. Try the panacotta!

Great location. We were very impressed with the service and the spa is excellent. The rooms are very well set out and modern. The views are superb and the hotel has plenty of places wher you can enjoy it. The reason for the 4 star as opposed to a 5 are twofold: 1. The car parking is not great it’s very tight and spaces are a premium. 2. The food is good but for the price we have had better. I would however recommend it for a short break.

We stopped off for a drink whilst walking and had a great experience. The bar man was very helpful and very friendly. We look forward to visiting again.

Pros: Lovely view of the estuary from the rooms, rooms themselves are great with comfy beds, great bathrooms with powerful showers, free water and even free sherry and gin (for Xmas I think). Nice facilities with small gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. There is also a spa but make sure you book in advance. Also has a small cinema room which play movies at specific times but we didn't go. The restaurant is also pretty nice. Cons: Only down side is that the service could have been friendlier, with the amount you're paying. Found some of the staff in restaurant quite unhappy to serve us and got our orders wrong a few times — not that attentive The whole hotel itself hasn't got that much room, in general so not many places to just sit and relax apart from lobby and your rooms.

We had the £5 winter lunchtime menu, and it was excellent! Service was really good, as well. Definitely will come back.

Fantastic location and staff, spa compact but great, food very good if a little pricy but worth it.

Luxurious is the best way to describe this hotel. The bed is very comfortable and the room is spacious (Estuary View with Balcony) Staff are friendly and helpful. Dinner n the Jetty Restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast was served which makes a welcoming change. I had an early morning swim and sauna in the well maintained pool area, and a relaxing treatment in the spa. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be planning another visit soon I hope.

Our family were visiting as guests of a wedding ceremony. During the course of the evening the staff were friendly and attentive. Loses a star due to limited parking which meant we had to park elsewhere.

Recently attended a wedding at this venue as part of the wedding party. It is a beautiful location, although quite a drive as it's off in the countryside/coastal. There is no parking for anyone attending the venue if they aren't a paying overnight guest which does prove to be a bit of a hassle due to the length of stay required (even out of season) The rooms I saw were lovely and light and appeared clean and spacious but then as part of the bridal party that's what you'd expect. The main gripe being that when we called down to ask for prosecco, a bottle of water and 4 glasses they didn't arrive. After what must have been 30-45 minutes the photographer left us and went to chivvy them up, however when the prosecco and water did arrive it had two glasses with it not 4. Again we called down to reception to ask for an extra glass, it hadn't arrived when we left the room an hour and a half later. Once we were within the Marine room and eating/drinking the staff were most attentive, topping up drinks as and when they were getting low, food was efficienctly delivered to our tables and cleared away just as efficiently. Over all it was a lovely venue and lovely location with just a few let downs. I would say as a guest go with a large purse, one lady was served a glass of Rosê for £9 she was more than a little shocked.

Great rooms and very well presented. Good bar and good breakfast. Did not eat in the evenings. Friendly staff. Will certainly stay here again.

Visited for drinks at lunch. Service very slow and not accurate, repeatedly asked different waiters for menus/orders. Cocktails very good though and nice spot looking over estuary.

The hotel is beautifully​ decorated, with a nautical theme. The staff were extremely friendly and relaxed, and remembered us every time we met. It was easy to relax in the hotel, and it seems that every aspect of the management was focused on making everything as simple and easy as possible. The spa hosts a pool with plenty of seating, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a steam room. The spa staff were calm and easy to chat with, and ensured you got the most out of your treatments. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, with a good range of fresh seafood dishes. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room had a lovely view, and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary port and gin went down very well too. The town of Salcombe is beautiful, and full of life. In particular, it's a great spot for dog-lovers, as most of the pubs and restaurants are dog-friendly.

WDidn't have a good experience in this establishment. Cannot be recommended. In fact, if you're reading this trying to make a decision, I strongly urge you to stay away. Pokey rooms and indifferent service is not enough to make up for the central location. Rooms are tiny with barely enough space to move if you're staying as a couple. Mattresses are soft and sunken. Minibar fridge didn't work in our room. Complicated light system. Shower stall tile grouting was gross with spots of mould. Towels are grey. Service at reception is unfriendly and cold and cannot be found on the phone. If you needed something you had to run down to reception. On our last day we called 6 times in a space of 20mns to get help with luggage — no one picked up. In the end we made 2 trips. The wait staff in the breakfast room are run ragged. There doesn't seem to be a manager around. It was obvious there was no one to manage the 'flow'. We had 3 breakfasts there and every morning it was chaotic. They got our cooked breakfasts wrong on 2 days. Breakfast is adequate but the experience, the layout and quality could be improved. Both software and hardware not commensurate with price. Most disappointing.

My wife booked a spa morning with an aromatherapy massage and it was all pretty perfect. Lovely staff and amenities. Included in the package was a two course lunch which was enjoyed outside on The Jetty in the Salcombe sunshine, with my wife and daughter. Again service was great and the food wonderful.

Went away for midweek 2 night stay beginning of January 2017. Great hotel! Nice and relaxing and such a great view! Spa is very good with a couple of rough edges but overall a great experience. Food is pretty flawless and staff are very friendly. Highly recommended!

We stayed for one night in a estuary view and balcony room which was very relaxing and peaceful. Dinner in the restaurant was pleasant and the oysters were very tasty!

Went there as a wedding guests. The hotel and surroundings are gorgeous. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the prices, £6 for a pint was pretty extortionate.

I came to have lunch today having visited several times before, but today the staff were surley, the food not good, there was grit in my mushroom starter, the fish pie was so hot I think it was microwaved. As we were not resident we were offered no bread. This is such a shame as I was looking forward to the lunch. Probably won't return.

Outstanding. Prime location hands down. Great hotel. Had a mins water issue but we got over it. Reccomended.

For my birthday, my family treated me to a spa and tea afternoon at this hotel yesterday and it was really good. As a diabetic I was concerned about the tea, but I was presented with a plate of exquisitely prepared and delicious diabetic-friendly 'cakes'. They made my day!

Well located hotel with great views of the harbour and just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. Staff were always friendly and helpful. On the downside, restaurant service could sometimes be a bit slow.

This hotel is great in every way. The service was nearly faultless, done with charm and grace, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable with great beds and amazing views. The very central location means a 5 minute walk to the local pubs and eateries of Salcombe. I would highly recommend this hotel and they will be seeing us again.
