We got married at Bickley Mill on new years eve. As a wedding venue it is idyllic and beautiful and their staff members were polite and helpful but our day was not as promised. I was waiting to leave a review until I got a response from Bickley but my 1st response wasn't as expected and I haven't even had a second response. My husband and I booked our wedding 15 months in advance and were so grateful when Bickley told us they wouldn't have their usual new years eve party and we could have the whole place if we also booked out all of the rooms which we obviously agreed to. We spread the food news yo all of our fanily and friends we were extatic. On our wedding days things weren't as they should be. We noticed we didn't have the whole of Bickley they were still open to the public not only that my husband and many of our guests who were seated in the main bar area were turned away from the bar and told they couldn't be served despite us having paid for an extended licence until 1am due to it being new year. The smaller bar didn't stock all the drinks people wanted which was extremely frustrating and embarrassing. I was embarrassingly asked to point out my new husband who was stood next yo me holding an umbrella over me. My parents and multiple guests didn't receive their welcome drinks. The food was fantastic and our wedding breakfast went down a treat.

As a wedding photographer & videographer, I have worked at hundreds of fantastic venues over the years, and Bickley Mill is right up there with the best. The staff are wonderful, the food is superb and the whole experience was perfect. Our wedding day exceeded expectations and our guests were all just as complimentary about our choice of venue. I would highly recommend Bickley Mill and will be visiting again very soon!

We had our wedding at the Bickley Mill and wow what do I say! The staff were just incredible, nothing was too much trouble and the whole day ran like a dream! It really is the most beautiful wedding venue and the communication and service from start to finish was just flawless! So many of our guests never even knew it existed and said it really was a hidden jem! We truly had the most magical day all thanks to this beautiful place ❤️

We recently had our wedding here and couldn't have been happier with the service we received and the beautiful venue. The staff were absolutly amazing on our big day and the day before. Food in the restaurant and wedding catering were both incredible. All of our guests commented on what an incredible venue it was. We had the relaxed Sunday wedding package. The staff made sure our day was perfect in every way and were so kind and helpful. The rooms were all great, bridal suite was wonderful. Would highly recommend the Inn for a night away, a meal out and for a wedding or other function. We look forward to visiting again on anniversaries. Thankyou to all of the staff 😁😁

We had the perfect Wedding Day at The Bickley Mill Inn! They continued with their fantastic communication throughout lockdown and they were very helpful when we had the difficult choice of postponing our Wedding date twice. The staff were friendly, attentive and polite throughout the lead up to and including our special day. We loved the food and our guests commented on how lovely the food was too. I would like to say a special thank you to Laura for organising the day and being patience with us when having photos before the Wedding Breakfast. It was a beautiful day in the perfect setting. Lovely setting for my Niece's wedding. Staff were super lovely and made the event the special one it was. Rooms were lovely too, slept very well and a super breakfast too. Whenever I am in the area in the future I will be seeing if I can stay again. A great example of hospitality at its best.

Bickley Mill is the most PERFECT wedding venue. Every single part of our wedding was more than we could have asked for and that was partly down the the most incredible staff who can run a wedding with their eyes closed! Laura ran the show for us on the day and she was fabulous! I loved her! The venue itself is stunning and the food was sensational! So many guests commented on how delicious it was! Thank you xxx.

Bickley mill inn is an absolutely stunning venue, with delicious food, amazing staff, lovely rooms and a fantastic atmosphere. We had our covid wedding here on saturday, the venue was extremely helpful with all the changes we needed to make. The staff were attentive and, during the change over from wedding to reception, followed our directions beautifully. The rooms were really lovely and everyone had an amazing time. Beautiful hotel and restaurant. Booked for the family on Booking. Com wasn’t expecting too much as only a quick trip to see family but wow what a find. We stayed in Owl Loft which was classed as a family room, it was two bedrooms together and two bathrooms — so cosy and beautiful. We’d booked meals and breakfast else where but on seeing the menus we decided to stay in and weren’t disappointed. The staff were really helpful and the grounds beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

Just tucking in for the 1st out of three nights. Beautiful setting, excellent food, very accommodating staff, and all anti-covid measures are in place… only downside, the metallic clanging and mechanical sounds of the mill itself as we try to settle down for the night.

Love this place from the ambience, food and wonderful staff who always go that extra mile. We live locally and it is a regular establishment for us.

We always book the luxury double room with the balcony, the room is beautiful, the bed is huge and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is lovely. A simply beautiful hotel in a stunning location.

we had our wedding here back in april. What a perfect day it was. I absolutely love this place it is so beautiful, the rooms are lush and never dissapointed with the food when weve visited. Communication was great when needed. And they all made me feel at ease. There was a few last minute changes unfortunately which couldnt be helped but they were so good about it and helped in every possible way they could. We would do it here again in a heartbeat! thanks so Much guys we had such a wonderful day and appreciate all the work you guys did for us

Went to revisit after daughters wedding there last year. The Sunday lunch was excellent staff very friendly and attentive even though they had a wedding in progress. The menu was well thought out with choices to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. Would go back again. Super wedding venue too.

Me and my Husband got married here in June and I honestly couldn't fault one thing, not only is bickley a stunning venue all round the food is also incredible, the day ran so smooth and that was due to all the brilliant staff. Thank you for making our day perfect.!

Eight of us stayed on Tuesday night for my husband’s 60th birthday. The staff were very friendly and attentive and took responsibility for the birthday presents, cake and table decorations that we brought. They decorated the table for me and gave us the same table for breakfast so all the decorations could stay in place. The food was excellent and the rooms were lovely; comfortable and beautifully decorated. This is a real gem and we’ll certainly be going back. Thank you to everyone for making our stay such a success.

We had our wedding here on the 28th of June and it was everything I ever dreamed of. I would like to say a massive thank you to Louise and Hayley for all your help with the planning and answering all my silly questions. You put us totally at ease and helped us so much! Lovely place to go for food/drinks. The area is beautiful, the food is amazing and the place looks so lovely inside and out. One of my fav local restaurants. I hear they also manage rooms and weddings!

Lovely settings, place and excellent food. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced. You get what you pay for. View of well kept raised garden and grass. Shade or full sun seating area. Dogs allowed.

One of the best meals I’ve had for a long time in this country. My son and I enjoy good food and cooking so wanted a break with delicious food without having to cook it our selves. I had pork tenderloin with whole grain mash and my son had supreme of chicken with fondant potatoes. For dessert I had chocolate and raspberry tart and my son had ice cream in brandy snap basket. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the pallet! I honestly couldn’t pick a fault if I tried. I would highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates good food in a lovely establishment. Romantic evening! This place is a little gem. Had our first meal here at the weekend. Hubby and I went for a drive and decided to stop for food. Surroundings are beautiful, the staff are friendly and the food was amazing. It was served piping hot and was absolutely delicious. Definitely our new go to place.

We loved the beautifully decorated restaurant and bar areas as well as the garden and deck. Only problem was, we found ourselves in the middle of preparations for a marriage. The guests were very noisy in the restaurant and in their rooms (early morning). Great choice of food on the menu.

Brilliant wedding at Bickley Mill. The beef main course was excellent, the brownie was very dry (even when covered with cream). All in all a wonderful day though!

Attended a wedding reception here and absolutely loved the place, friendly helpful staff, great atmosphere and really lovely gardens and views.

A lovely, tranquil, location. A cozy dining area where there's a varied menu; lovely outdoor seating area, for when it doesn't rain.

A very warm welcome and a perfect location for a short break. Comfortable room and a great menu.

The atmosphere setting and food were all lovely. Very quiet lunch when we got there as we were early. Prices were very good for great food. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had our wedding reception with Bickley at the weekend and everything was beyond perfect — greatly helped by the staffing team. We were perfectly looked after all day, they weren't over the top with their prwaence, yet were there whenever needed and nothing was any trouble. The venue is beautiful and the food was amazing. All the guests are still commenting on how great it was. Our room for the night was also stunning — beautiful, clean decor, nice and spacious, a huge, comfy bed, and it even had a private little balcony. We can't thank you all enough, you truly made our day and we couldn't recommend you enough.

Super great food, the best homemade citizen everything.

Had an evening meal and stayed the night. Exceptional. Interesting menu, well cooked and presented and the staff very pleasant. We booked a basic room and were delighted to get a spacious twin room. No view as such but then the inn is on a steep sided road with no views to be had. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The beds we found to be very comfortable. Try it out — we would be surprised if you didn't enjoy your stay as much as we did. One caveat I suppose — we stayed on a Monday evening and although the restaurant was busy the place fell quiet by 10 — 10.30; what it would be like at the weekend or with a wedding party I couldn't say.

We have really enjoyed our stay at Bickley Mill, it's a lovely setting. Rooms and hotel very clean good breakfast, didn't have our evening meal there so unable to comment on that, although there was quite a good selection on the menu. A bit difficult to find as new roads are not on sat navigation. Thanks for a lovely stay very quiet and relaxing. Staff are really helpful and friendly.

Great setting, great food and great staff — — what more can you say!

Me & my wife have just held our wedding at this amazing venue. The staff are amazing, extremely kind & professional, the food is top notch, the location is beautiful & the accommodation is 5star in my opinion. All of our guests had a fantastic time & we couldn't have asked for more. Weather its a wedding venue, holiday or a nice meal someone is after in this part of the world I would definitely recommend the bickley mill inn.

Went yesterday to a lunchtime function for 60 people. The room was beautifully dressed, if a little cool to start with. The meal was superb, all dishes were home made, tasty and well presented. All the staff were friendly, efficient and open to requests for odd additional items. Cannot fault.

Wonderful staff, we stayed in the Riviera room which was stunning. We couldnt ask for more, I booked this for my partners birthday weekend and he was delighted. The breakfast was perfect. The Mill is located in a quiet location, although there was a wedding event on whilst we stayed we didnt hear ANYTHING. We also loved the resident cat. Superb place to stay, even better in the summer months.

Avoid this place like the plague. Extremely rude staff, terrible food, poor atmosphere (which probably wouldn't be quite so bad if the staff weren't so bad! ).

Been there as group and also wedding reception. Food looks resonable on menu till you start adding your extras, it then starts getting pricey.

We had a lovely meal with great service, a good find and we will b back before our holiday is over.
