We have only stayed for one of our two nights, the staff are exceptionally friendly and will to help. We had the carvery and it was delicious, will lovely big Yorkshire puddings as good as the ones I make at home. The room is lovely and spacious, huge bed but duvet a bit small for the bed and pillows a bit flat, but sure I can rectify these matters today.

Had an excellent meal and stay here. Am coeliac so appreciated a really great menu and delicious food. Service was first class. Would love to stay and eat here again. Thank you Rosie and team.

It was great to see so many people out enjoying a meal and live music. Although the band was too loud for me they were good. The food was the best I've had in a long time. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and the Apple pie and custard finished it off nicely. Great night out.

Just had a lovely dinner mussels were amazing but the staff are the best so nice and welcoming deffo be back thank you you all so much food was amazingx.

Well what can I say, great find, a true little gem, excellent experience, definitely recommend the place, friendly staff, so welcoming, chatty, lush foodies, doggies wellcome.

The Ship is unique and not like any other pubs in the area. The staff are brilliant and very customer friendly. You could go in for a drink on your own and be guaranteed to strike up a conversation with someone. It's a friendly place with a very relaxed vibe. To top it all the food is excellent and good value for money. A gem of a place in a great quayside location.

Pleasant with a nice view of the harbour. Well worth a visit but can be busy and food service finishes at 2.30. As we we're told might be worth booking.

Great service and on the whole great food and, for me, huge portions. Only reason for saying that is because my pudding was not great. The waitress asked for feedback and when I gave my honest opinion we were not charged for it, they didn’t have to do that and it was a nice touch for which I was grateful. Very dog friendly. Yes, I would definitely recommend. Only sorry we found this little gem on our last night of our holiday.

Beautiful old pub full of character and wonderful people. Overlooking the sea and serves fantastic food. Wish it was closer to home so we could go all the time!

Very pleasant well situated pub and restaurant… right baby the harbour. The front is ablaze with colourful plants which are fantastic and brighten up the place on a dull day. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The young guy who served us was quick to recommend an alternative as they didn't have my partners favourite cider. I was keen to try another drink by way of s taster to help me decide. Nothing was a problem and we both had different drinks to what we had planned but were thoroughly happy. I enjoyed the pub for its mix of customers, quite clearly local fisherman enjoying a pint after a day at sea… Along side young families, tourists and visitors to the area. We didn't sample the food but maybe on another visit we shall take a look at the menu.

Only popped in for a quick drink, but as soon as you enter the friendly staff and atmosphere greets you. People laughing and joking, eating great looking food. We sat outside for the views but will hopefully be back again for a meal.

Very friendly pub overlooking the harbour. Vast range of beers. The food looks delicious but we have not tried it. Can get busy but service is usually quick. Seating outside as well as inside.

Super pub. Thatchers Gold on tap and the best food I have tasted for ages. I recommend the pork belly and the fresh mussels. You know when you go to some pubs and the menu tastes better than the food, yeah the ACTUAL menu… This isn't like that. Very good prices and a harbour view, fantastic.

A rare 5 stars from me. The location is the quiet end of the esplanade about 15 mins walk to the town along the front. The evening food is excellent so no need to find anywhere else. The rooms are a little old but it adds character. The shower though was cramped. Breakfast was as good as you get with a good selection of full English, salmon and kippers. Very friendly staff.

The location was very reasonable as it was a short drive / walk to. The time it took me and family to get a table was so quick it was unbelievable. The range of food was at a very high standard. All the food had a great flavour I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

A lovely location by the harbour and super friendly, delightful staff. As a lone female traveller I was made to feel very welcome and looked after to a very high standard. Unfortunately, the food was so good I think I gained some weight! The jam roly-poly was a particular favourite!

A hidden gem! Fantastic crew, amazing food, excellent entertainment. Clearly a local pub but with a great mix of wondering tourist's. Very welcoming. The food, you never would have expected it and the team really get it! Rooms are also available. Regularly have live music. Should be on your live venue list if anything. Brilliant selection of ale's, ciders and spirits. Oh, and a winelist to be explored. We'll be back, with a group and will spend the weekend!

A very friendly place the staff can’t do enough for you. Room comfy and clean tiny bathroom but ok and a good shower. Nice food (fish and chips) from the bar menu and unlike others if you have to leave before breakfast they pack one up for you and leave it by the door. I would say this place is very good value for money I would stay here again.

We were warmly welcomed, including Toby the dog, we were ushered to a good table. The menu was full of good pub grub with a twist. The list of ales was excellent, I ordered Hobgoblin a familiar ale, it had obviously been kept well. I chose to eat the rabbit faggots on a bed of Savoy cabbage with a timbale of mash peas and bacon with a cider his, Best meal for along time.

First class food reasonably priced. Excellent service and fabulous setting. Varied menu with old favourites and some really unusual dishes. Child friendly which was a bonus with our group of seven adults, four children and four babies. Really was some of the best food and service I've had for a long time. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely place to have a meal and to take family and friends. We had a lovely meal on Thursday lunch time. We was greeted kindly and made most welcome, given a table immediately, even though we had not made a reservation. The service as always was perfect with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent, and we shall be back again soon.

Would recommend if you are staying in Minehead and don't want to spend as much. Good Oyster Stout. Good food too.
