Had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Woodlands this week, such a beautiful place, so peaceful, great accommodation, spacious, spotlessly clean room, well equipped hospitality tray. The host Steve and Lesley, are warm and friendly and made us feel very much at home. The food is excellent, and the breakfast set us up for the day. The area is great for walking, no need to use the car once you arrive. Great place to get away from it all. We will be back. Loved it.

Had the most amazing 4 day break. Very sad to come home. Lesley and Steve are professional, attentive, kind welcoming people and hosts. Guesthouse and hosts absolutely faultless. Breakfast is absolutely amazing and location is perfect with breathtaking views around and close by. Cannot wait to Return.

Just come back from a 3 night stay and Woodlands Guest House and seriously missing it! It is without a doubt the most beautiful guesthouse I've stayed at in England. We stayed at Woodlands at the end of a little road trip in the UK after visiting Bath and Bristol and it was the perfect way to relax at the end. Steve (Lesley was away) was an excellent host with a great sense of humour, the room with the balcony was perfect, the breakfasts were delicious and generous and the surrounding areas are beautiful. Lynton and Lynmouth have a lovely vibe and lots of pubs and restaurants and we went to a couple that were recommended by Woodlands. I highly recommend Woodlands to anyone looking for a beautiful, scenic break in the UK!

Fantastic small hotel in lovely setting, lovely rooms, car park, nice little pub within easy walk with great food, nice walk to Lynton on flat path to rear. Really nice quiet place to stay.

We haven't actually stayed here, but me and my partner Joe just watched Four in a Room, and we both agreed that the owners Steve and Lesley should have been the winners by a country mile. It's obvious that this couple take great pride in their guesthouse, and come across as a genuine and very lovely couple. The house looks fabulous, in an absolutely fabulous location, surrounded by countryside and peace and quiet. We loved the fact that Lesley offers very healthy options at breakfast, including her super green smoothie! I know it seems unfair to leave a review without staying there, but this is a review to say that if we are ever in the area we will both definitely come and stay for a night or two and enjoy the fabulous surroundings. As the son of an ex publican and B&B owner I know full well what hard work it is, and Steve and Lesley are obviously the perfect characters for this industry. Wishing you both the very best. Absolutely marvellous in every way!

Wonderful place to stay, run by wonderful people. The rooms are comfortable, within convenient walking distance of nearby towns, pubs and restaurants. Breakfast is generously sized, and will keep you going the whole day.

Very friendly, with great food and superb rooms, bit of a steep climb to the door but worth it.

Top place and highly recommended. Unique, characterful building in beautiful surroundings. Great hosts, lovely breakfasts, comfy beds in nicely modernised bedrooms. That's all.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay (4 people) at Woodlands. Lovely property, lovely hosts, lovely breakfasts, lovely position, lovely area, you've guessed it, It's all, well lovely.

We stayed at the Woodlands in September and will most definately return. Steve and Lesley are excellent hosts. Their home is beautiful which they very generously share with their guests. Nothing is too much trouble for them in making your stay a wonderful experience. The breakfasts are delicious and both Steve and Lesley go out of their way to provide hearty and healthy choices. Lesley is also an excellent sports masseur so if you are feeling a little stiff and jolted after your travels, Lesley can fix you! Keep on doing what you both do so well.

We have visited the woodlands guesthouse three times and have loved every single visit. The house itself is gorgeous with a lovely lounge sitting area overlooking the beautiful Exmoor woodlands. Steve and Lesley are fantastic hosts and can't do enough for you. Their friendly nature makes you feel right at home. The rooms are extremely plush, clean, and well furnished. The breakfast menu boasts a great choice of healthy options and good quality food from local sources. Can't wait to come back soon this spring and make it trip number four Laura and Anna.

My wife and I have visited Woodlands before and thoroughly enjoyed it, we returned this year and the owners, Steve and Lesley, greeted us like old friends! It is a impressive Victorian house that is presented beautifully. Our room was immaculate and had a lovely view across the valley. For breakfast I had the 'full English' whilst my wife had scrambled eggs and bacon. Both were individually prepared and a absolute treat to eat. The surrounding area is stunning with wonderful walks and beautiful sea views. We will definitely go back!

Stayed here last week. Absolutely fabulous guest house with immaculately clean and beautiful rooms. I stayed in room 6 which had a fab drench shower. Breakfast menu is diverse with everything from traditional English breakfast to smashed avocado on soda bread with cherry tomatoes or try Steve's amazing real poached eggs on wilted spinach. Loved it! Makes such a change to have such choices on a breakfast menu. Foo was fantastic. Well done Steve and the lovely Lesley for making my stay so memorable. Will definitely return soon.

Beautiful B&B guesthouse in an amazing setting. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfasts and run by Steve and Lesley who are very welcoming and so helpful.

This place is amazing — more like a hotel! Our room was amazing with a ensuite wet room and really comfy bed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed here whilst walking the South West coast path through Exmoor and this is a great place to stay in Lynton.

Recently spent a long weekend at Woodlands Guest house. Gorgeously renovated, in a wonderful location for country walks to local pubs. Excellent hosts and a delicious breakfast, I can't recommend highly enough :)
