We spent 11 nights at Acorns for our honeymoon. The hosts, Denise and Steve, were lovely and very friendly. The breakfasts were amazing. A great place to stay. I would definitely recommend this guest house and the great hosts.

We have just got back from a few nights stay at Acorns, it was so lovely, we all had a great time. We had our 21month old with us and Denise and Steve were very accommodating and friendly they are a lovely couple. Breakfast was yummy and room was very clean comfortable x.

Just got back from a 4 night stay here. This was my second time staying at acorns. Both times no complaints at all. I would highly recommend staying here. Will definitely be back. Thanks again Steve and Denise.

Great, dog friendly guest house. Lovely and clean. Fantastic positioning in Combe Martin, great for the beaches and the Coast Path. Own parking very important. So good we extended our stay, and will go back.

A wonderful guest house run by a lovely couple who were absolutely fantastic when we visited the village looking for our new home. They were so helpful and always had time to offer advice on places to look and on life in the village itself. We've since moved to Combe Martin and can say that it's because of lovely experiences like the one we had at this guest house that we chose to make a life here.

Couldn't ask for more. Lovely owners, comfortable well appointed rooms and great location. Dog friendly too. Marvellous.

Denise and Steve were so welcoming and lovely company. The accommodation very clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious. I can't think of anything negative to say, a fantastic weekend!

Acorns Guest House is a very clean guest house just come back from having a few days there Denise and Steve are a fantastic couple and the breakfast was fantastic the best scrambled eggs ever. Millie enjoyed her stay there too and her sausage.

Stayed here last week on a 2 night break for our anniversary. Took our jack Russell terrier with us and he was welcomed as gladly as we were. Very comfortable room. Very friendly owners. Our dog was a bit upset on our last morning at being left while we had breakfast. The owner moved our table into the lounge so he could sit with us while we enjoyed our breakfast. Would highly recommend this lovely guesthouse. Thank you for looking after us. X.

Just spent 3 nights here. Was very clean. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a log every night. Breakfast was nice. Owners were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is strategically located very close to Combe Martin Town Centre which also houses a beautiful view of the bay just a stone throw away from the hotel. The Hotel has about 7 rooms both twins and doubles mixed all having ensuite bathroom except for one with separate bathroom. The room we stayed in was very clean cosy and comfortable, so was the bathroom. The hosts were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Continental and full English breakfast was served every morning. Free Wi-Fi and parking space available for guests. We had a fantastic time. Highly recommended.

I haven't particularly liked poached eggs for years — for me they tend to be rubbery. So I was surprised when two of them arrived on toast next to the beans on my plate, delivered by a smiling Denise at Acorns Guest House. On enquiring of my partner what I'd ordered, once Denise was out of earshot, she confirmed I had indeed ordered poached, and not scrambled, as I'd intended! I have to tell you these were not in the least bit eggs to die for — these were eggs to kill for! I had never tasted eggs like them. Apparently free range off Exmoor — like all their food — top notch! But the way they were cooked. At first Denise was hesitant to reveal the recipe — but she slowly warmed to the idea that I wasn't going to publicise it so felt safe to continue. The final details I managed to squeeze out of Steve, who cooked them, when we took our leave. I now make them regularly for myself — and am soo thankful for the slip of my tongue (or mind?! ) These eggs have changed my life! So much more tasty and healthy than fried. Indescribably delicious. Steve is Scottish and has taken up chefing with that keen enthusiasm endemic to tribes who have had to survive against all odds in severe wilderness conditions. Ok I made that bit up! What is true though: Steve and Denise are fantastic hosts. They made us feel totally welcome, were helpful and friendly — and nothing was too much trouble. Their place too is very warmly welcoming.
