A delight to go back to Turtley after a very long time. Excellent food cooked beautifully! My Pork Chop was full of flavour & cooked to perfection. Super service from lovely smiley people. Felt very safe & everywhere was clean. Main toilet door had been left open so you didn’t have to touch it — great idea!

Always a good meal, pleasantly served, in what must be one of the nicest surroundings of any pub/restaurant. Although our visit was after Covid ‘freedom day’ distancing and other precautions remained reassuringly in force.

What can I say, set in the beautiful devonshire countryside. So quaint & pretty. The peacocks & hens wandering around were an added bonus! fabulous food, & even dog friendly! Such a lovely family meal at the Turtley Mill tonight. The food was delicious and the service was top class. We had a lovely night out. Thanks to all the staff there, we will definitely be back again!

We ordered a take out Christmas Dinner yesterday and the staff were really helpful and explained the pick up procedure thoroughly when ordering. On pick up we just called to say we were in the car park and the food was brought out to the car. The whole meal was superb especially the figgy pudding. It was my first take out experience and would definitely use Turtley again.

A lovely roast beef Sunday lunch, vegetables, potatoes and beef all cooked nicely and the gravy was delicious!

We had the muscles and they were delicious. Portions were really good. Had a great couple of hours here eating lunch and catching up with old friends. Beautiful place. Really charming and the service was great.

Had a wonderful first post lockdown visit today! Staff were all well organised, efficient and polite and the experience was just as brilliant as before! The food was incredible and we were all very well catered for and looked after. Thank you for an amazing meal and for making everything feel normal.

We just had a lovely family meal here for my birthday this evening. We have never been before but we will definitely be back. Such a beautiful setting with all the peacocks and chickens, the pub is such a stunning place. Chilled atmosphere with a lovely roaring fire. All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful and made us feel super welcome, the service was so good and quick. The food we couldn't fault, so delicious. You will definitely see us again, thank you, we are so happy to have discovered this hidden gem ❤

I visit Here with my family on a few occasions during our stay in south Brent. Firstly the location is stunning as is the old Mill itself, the garden area is perfect for the children to stretch their legs or for you to just sit back, relax & enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The staff were all very warm & welcoming with a great attitude to work & every customer. Now the food, the food was absolutely delicious, you couldn’t fault a single dish. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly and it is obvious to see that the chefs take a huge amount of pride in their work… as do all the members of staff to be honest. I Would definitely recommend Turtley Corn Mill.

Foodie pub, very nicely arranged inside for eating and lovely big garden. Menu is nice but doesn't vary much — they've been offering the same things for as long as I can remember. Service at the bar and the table lacked warmth on recent visits. Always popular so best to book.

More of a restaurant than a pub but a lovely place to visit. Very friendly staff, great service and good food. We loved the garden with the ducks, chickens and peacock roaming free. Our only suggestion would be to maybe increase the number of options on the menu.

Dropped​ in for lunch on the way home from Exeter. Very Pretty setting, excellent photo opportunities for the selfie generation.
Plenty of seating inside and outside.
Friendly staff, and prompt service.
Food was top notch, I had a baguette which was unusually large and super fresh, with generous tasty filling.
To top it off the grounds are rather large, if you fancied walking off the calories.
Would go out of my way, for another visit.

Came for the first time back in March, had a lovely meal and afternoon. No complaints, only praise. (Would have been a 5 star review)
Returned this evening spur of the moment, could fit us in nicely in the bar area as the library was booked, which wasn’t a problem for us as the bar area is just as nice. Ordered the food which came within a nice time. After we finished the mains, it was quite a while before the table was cleared. Staff had been to a neighbouring table at least twice, and we were in full view of the bar, but no empty, dirty plates cleared. I’d gone and ordered dessert, hoping that it may prompt someone to clear the table, but alas, it wasn’t until we actually stacked the dishes on the table that a staff member arrived and asked if we were finished and would we like to order dessert (the same staff member that had visited the neighbouring table at least twice). Dessert came and whilst eating it we noted at least 3 tables that had all arrived and ordered after us, and, same as us, had at least two courses, all paid and left well before us having been seen too far quicker with table clearing etc. (It was also noted that the staff did seem more attentive to the customers in the library… paying customers, just like my party). Time for the bill… checked it, paid it, checked it again, and realised that we were billed for 8 drinks… would have been fine, but we only had 6.

Lovely setting but we always leave disappointed with the average food. For these prices one would expect chips to be homemade and better quality ingredients. And this time the £25 deposit they wanted at booking hadn't been taken off the bill. We only return because it's our old dad's favourite setting. Much better places for the same money nearby.

Went along for Sunday lunch. Our party was 4 adults and a 17 month old. 3 of us had the Sunday Lunch, one of the lunches was gluten free, and a the 17 month old had the child's Sunday lunch. The lunch was great, the veg was nice and all plates were cleared. The other adult had the steak burger and the looked good. Service was a bit slow on taking the pudding order, but when they arrived they look and tasted good. Had a slow service at the bar, but that was down to the drink that I ordered, the barrel needed changing. All in all it was a good meal and would recommend to anyone that is in the area.

Lovely outdoor area. Chicken enchiladas were tasty. Not keen on the burgers as they had put a lot in it and so much wet stuff and a non toasted bun meant it just fell apart into a bit of a soggy mess unfortunately. I would go back and try something else though as staff were lovely and it's a beautiful place.

We have been using Turtley for family meets for years now and it never disappoints. Beautifully situated, great staff and fabulous birds!

We have today celebrated my father-in — law's 100th birthday at Turtley corn Mill. The support we have received from staff both before and during our wonderful meal exceeded expectations. Welcome to the most lovely secret off the Devon expressway… turn off at avonwick/ south brent and head here for a real treat. Food and service top notch and super welcoming. Kids welcome, dog friendly, you can even stay which I would highly recommend to anyone of any age Turtley Corn Mill ftw.

My favourite out of town pub/restaurant. Food great and staff very friendly. Lovely in summer sat outside. Highly recommended.

Booked in as close by for a party we were going to. Great location just off the A38 but quiet and peaceful for a getting a good nights sleep. Warm welcome when we arrived, room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and well equipped with coffee machine and Molton Brown toiletries. Lovely bed linen and super comfy bed. Breakfast in the morning was perfect, cooked beautifully, lovely juices and fresh croissants. We booked at short notice so got a lower rate than the standard advertised rate so was excellent value for money. Will definitely be back if in the area again. Thank you.

Staying at the hotel on my way down to Plymouth. Nice friendly reception… great room with a lovely bed and bathroom. Really nice local pub atmosphere and a good restaurant. Would totally recommend this place for a one night stop over or a long term stay whilst exploring the area. If I could I would give it ten stars! Oh and I am not family or related in any way just appreciate quality when I experience it.

After being stranded in the snow they very kindly rescued me and took me in! Staff, food, pub and accommodation is top notch! I will definitely come back in better conditions now I've found the place. Thank you so much, everything you've done is very much appreciated!

The mill is just far enough from the A38 to enjoy the garden in the summer but close enough to stop in on your journey. That said that this well deserved popular location should be booked in advance if you want to be sure of a table. The mill retains it's charm from its original purpose even utilising an old lister engine to make bread. There is a good selection of quality food on the menu which is presented with care and attention to detail that adds to the whole experience. Needless to say the staff are polite and helpful and make sure you are well attended. Definitely worth a visit at any time of the year.

I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend with my Fiancé for his birthday. It was everything we hoped for! Situated in a perfect part of the countryside easily accesssible from the motorway, we were greeted by peacocks and chickens. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful and were able to accommodate us for an early check in despite being very busy. We stayed in the Muscovy room which was beautiful — modern and tastefully decorated with the most comfortable bed I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. I appreciated the fine touches of an nespresso coffee making machine and the Molton brown products. We had a 3 course meal with wine in the evening which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Our only criticism was the red wine. We are big red wine lovers and we did not enjoy the £26 Rioja. This was one of the worst bottles of red we'be had in a restaurant so would suggest a different one for your menu.
The breakfast was served in the library room with views of the outside grounds where you can watch the birds happily pottering around. Breakfast was included in the room price which had a great selection and you could have as many options as you liked. Will definitely recommend staying here and will be back.
