We were looking for somewhere local to us that served homecooked food in a cosy surroundings for a birthday celebration for one of our family and were recommended The Devonshire Dumpling by a friend. The atmosphere was incredible, the landlady was very friendly and incredibly welcoming, the food was out of this world, and the dining room was well set out and tastefully decorated with a great service which was second to none… Thank you for being so accommodating and welcoming our party at such short notice, highly recommended! :)

We called in here to eat on the way home this evening and were disappointed in the meals we had. We were surprised after the reading the reviews mentioning how great the food was. We would only give it 3 out of 5. Shame. Friendly staff and lovely decor. Maybe we were just unlucky.
