Lovely food and good dog friendly accommodation.

Lovely peaceful countryside which makes a change from the noisy city we live in. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful time to recharge the batteries.

Lovely resort. Currently spending our last night here having got out of the hot tub. We stayed at waters edge Lodge. It was spotlessly clean on arrival. The location is stunning. Enjoyed watching a fisherman everyday too. The hot tub wasn't up to temperature on our first night which was a massive disappointment (was on a temperature lock of 23.5 degrees). My husband rang reception and they sent out maintenance. Still nothing could be done it was only on 31 degrees by 11pm. This was annoying as we book these breaks purely to take advantage of the hot tub. I was surprised when I opened the drawer in the lounge and there was books in there. I've read two books since being here which I've really enjoyed. The place is well equipped although I would recommend some pint glasses. The wine glasses were a good size though. Every room has a smart TV which is a bonus which we haven't had on most lodge breaks we've been to so that was lovely! Overall a really enjoyable stay but let down by the hot tub not being ready on the first night.

Second time at lake view lodges and did not disappoint. Amazing weekend away, such beautiful and clean accommodation. A real treat.

We celebrated our wedding here at the weekend. Staff was amazing helping with all the set up. Food was excellent. Accommodation for 5 star. Nothing was no trouble. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds were beautiful.

We had a lovely week stay at Lakeview Manor. The lodge was modern, clean and spacious in a quiet setting. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the team were very friendly. Thank you.

Me and My new husband had the most perfect wedding day at Lakeview manor, the location and venue are stunning. Our day was perfect despite the restrictions we had to adhere to. The whole venue is stunning and amazing! The food is so delicious and they catered for all our needs. Julie, Stacey and all the staff are fab and make the venue so special. We truly had the most amazing time. The rooms have been refurbed and are lovely also. The whole stay was more than we could even have imagined from arriving the day before, to our wedding day and to check out it was brilliant and everyone was so helpful and lovely! We can’t recommend Lakeview Manor enough! Thank you x.

My other half and I love Lakeview manor, the location is secluded and utterly stunning. The hotel bar and restaurant have recently been redecorated and look fantastic. The food is wonderful — best roasts and breakfast. But it is the members of staff that make this venue so special, they are all so friendly and keen to make your time there amazing.
We like it so much that we decided to get married there. It is excellent value for money and Julie is an absolute godsend. Our day was far better than we could even have imagined — we can’t recommend Lakeview Manor enough!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The view is just magnificent, the lodge we are in is very nice. Comfortable sofas to sit on with a glass of wine and just sit and watch the wildlife. We are in a three bedroom lodge and there is loads of space for our little one to run around. Outside there is a beautiful decking area with 6 chairs and glass out the front so you get an uninterrupted view, to the side is a hot tub. Extremely clean the maintenance man comes each day to look at it and I presume do the levels. The staff on site are so helpful and I must say the manager Julie has been an absolute delight to deal with. L J & H. Xx.

We have just returned from staying in one of the lodges. (Dragonfly). Very clean and the lodge had everything you wanted it was also dog friendly. Beautiful views of the trees and lake. Lovely walks and extremely quiet. As we were self catering and had the dog we didn't eat at the restaurant but staff were very friendly. You are around 30 minutes drive to beaches. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from it all and want peace and quiet. Might be worth the restaurant doing takeaways for people in the lodges… just extra income in these weird times.

Arrived yesterday for a 2 night stay in one of the lodges, weather has been horrendous but to be honest that is the only negative that I can find. Accommodation is amazing, beautiful lodges. The staff so so friendly and nothing to much trouble, especially Laura who served us this evening at dinner. Although busy on her own, she had time to chat to our children and made us all feel welcome and the service she offered made the experience amazing. Would totally recommend and look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you Laura you’re a credit to Lakeview Manor x.

Was maid of honour for friends on their wedding day here recently. The staff were awesome and couldn’t do enough for us. They made the day really special.

I got married here yesterday and The staff were nothing short of amazing from the day before the wedding helping to keep me calm right through to the big day and beyond all the guests commented on the location and food everyone had an amazing time they truly helped to make our day magical — с Simon Price.

Went back up for our first wedding anniversary and still as fantastic the staff were brilliant the food amazing and Julie as always goes above and beyond sorting us out the honeymoon suite. Can't recommend this place enough thanku x.

What a fabulous day we had on Saturday at the Paver wedding. Food was delicious and the presentation of the vegetarian dish was exceptional! Would definitely recommend this venue, thank you to the whole team.

Standard of food was shocking. Waitresses and bar staff miserable. Poor quality/inedible food such a let down at a wedding. Will not be returning or recommending.

I booked this via groupon for my fiancé and I for an anniversary surprise and it was absolutely fantastic in the middle of no where peace and quiet, food was amazing and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous would highly recommend staying here.

This was our second visit to the Lakeview Manor Hotel, just as nice as the first. The staff are so helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble. Meals were delicious good ingredients and reasonably priced. The rooms that we have stayed were nicely decorated, warm, cosy, with a huge comfy bed, fluffy towels, and nice toiletries in the bathroom, and a good tea tray. I’m sure that we will be returning.

Amazing venue we had the most fantastic wedding day would highly recommend everyone especially Julie could not do anymore for us everything and anything was catered for. Thank you one again everyone hasn't stopped taking about it. Love Mr Mrs Gibbs.

Went to a wedding here, Venue is fantastic, food was fantastic, facilities are fantastic, but the real star of the show was Julie and her fantastic team, nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was amazing, even had a box of tissues for us ladies. Thank you Julie for a wonderful day you made it look effortless.

This was a visit made after an online search for somewhere near Dunkeswell that we could enjoy Sunday lunch. It is very remote, but beautiful and quiet as a result. There were quite a number of people there for carvery lunch, but the dining room area was spacious and comfortable. Service was excellent and starters were tasty. Carvery had choices of beef, pork and turkey, and there was a vegetarian option. Vegetables were fresh and hot. While dessert sounded tempting, we were too full by that time. We enjoyed a long walk around the lakes and left with lots of good photos.

On Friday we attended our daughters wedding at this stunning venue, Julie and her team have been amazing over the last 17 months helping us plan and organise this special day. Thankyou all for making our weekend stay so special. Julie you were a total star and we will definitely be recommending you to all future couples.

We were staying here for our daughter's wedding staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful our lodge was beautiful very clean and well maintained would definitely return and reckoned.

From start to finish Julie, our wedding coordinator, has been fantastic! Nothing has been too much trouble for her or the team. The whole planning stage went smoothly with going through details for the day, food/drink options, sorting accomodation for the guests and so on. We had our big day yesterday and everything went perfectly … everything ran on time and the staff were really helpful both on the day and the day before when setting up. Everyone seemed to enjoy their… food (lots of empty plates! ) and the band on the evening described the buffet as being 'awesome'! Again not much left over on the buffet, it went down a storm. We had so many nice comments from guests about the location we had chosen for our wedding, everyone seemed to love the grounds, there was a small issue with one of the guests rooms which I was told by my maid of honour was resolved quickly. Some of us stayed in the lodges, perfect for getting ready in on the morning of the wedding amd the hot tub made it that extra special. We were really surprised how nice they were inside. We're really looking forward to getting our professional pics back as the grounds are just stunning. Thanks again Julie and I am sure we will see you all soon. Mr and Mrs Parkes x.

Stayed for a two night fishing break. Although we had a tough time fishing because the fish were spawning we really enjoyed our stay. It was great value and the location was lovely. Staff were helpful and looked after us well and the evening food was very nice as well. Would stay again.

We attended our daughters Wedding last Saturday and stayed the night, the room was spotless, bed early comfortable. Only fault if anything was not enough spare loo roll and the toilet took several flushes. The actual place is in beautiful grounds, we loved it.

Lovely welcome. Wedding reception went without a hitch. Take eye shades as the rooms have green emergency lights glowing all night.

We were married at Honiton Family Church on 10th March 2018 and held our wedding breakfast and evening reception at Lakeview Manor. We had previously looked at other venues in the area but fell in love with Lakeview as soon as we saw it and met Julie, our outstanding wedding organiser. No matter what we asked, Julie and her team had the answer and could give us the reassurance that we needed, always with a warm, personal touch.
The grounds at Lakeview are spectacular. We have some beautiful wedding photos by the lake and in the grounds as well as in various locations within the building itself.
146 people attended the wedding breakfast and our 3 course meal was delicious. We had 18 tables in the marquee and everyone was served promptly with generous servings of hot food. A number of dietary requests were made and the chef accommodated these admirably, also providing children’s options for the 30 children present. The waiting staff were all friendly and very helpful. Whatever we wanted was no trouble at all.
At our evening reception, the house DJ couldn’t be faulted with his outstanding playlist and we had what must be the best buffet that we have ever had. There was so much variety and quantity, once again catering for the numerous guest dietary requirements.
It was great that Lakeview had some bigger rooms, such as the Upper Clock Tower (sleeping 6 adults), the Lower Clock Tower (sleeping 7 adults) and the Groom Cottage (sleeping 4 adults).

This is such a lovely places me and my new wife got married here on the 1st March 2018 and the stuff we're so amazing and made the day run amazing there was no problems it was perfect the food was amazing and the view are perfect even when we had the extreme weather from storm Emma it still went perfect thanks you so much. I would like to say a big thank you to Emily Richard and Lorraine and the chef because even though we got snowed in these staff went above and beyond to make sure we was comfortable and happy they went throw all the extreme conditions to get to use and make sure we was okay feed water and happy and I would like to say thank you to Martin the owner who was so understanding about everything and done everything he could to make sure we was okay and happy thank you so much. This is the most amazing places in the world and me and my parenter will be back k to visit this perfect places it will always have a big spot in our hearts thank you so much lake view manor you are perfect.

A little dated but meticulously clean. The food was super as were all of the lovely staff. We attended for a wedding and stayed 2 nights. Would stay again.

We have been going to Lakeview manor for a number of years every December to meet with all our family. They always accommodate us being a big party of over 25 persons. Food is very good and the staff have always made us welcome.

We went for a family wedding it was a lovely place we were impressed with it we stayed for the night and the room was very comfortable and cosy the only thing was they didn't do fried eggs for breakfast I'm not sure if everybody would worry about that.

1st time here impressed with the place had a super meal. Room very good and the scenery excellent.

This was a lovely stay, rooms outside the main pub. Nice breakfast, good evening meal. Had a day in Exeter went on the park and ride.

Getting to the location was easy enough, I would be hesitant to the journey at night or in very cold weather. I attended a wedding there and it was simply stunning! The lake in the garden is lovely, the staff were great and drinks at the bar were very reasonably priced. The inside of the buildings was beautifully decorated and the scenery was beautiful. Would thoroughly recommend this as a venue for events.

Really lovely location and the staff were incredible. Room was comfortable and the place has plenty of character. Food was just a bit of a let down considering how much the wedding was per head.

Wouldn't stay again food was good. Rooms were in need of renovation had signs of use on the rooms that need sorting. Had a shower curtain which I find gross and wouldn't stay again. The location was nice enough but not special as the building was a little dated but not dated as in a historical charming sense but in an old converted pub sense. They can and should be doing a lot better : (

It's ok given it's location, though the rooms are a little dated. If you're expecting relatively budget accomodation in a beautiful location you'll be about right.

Room was lackluster for the money but wedding catering and staff/food were impeccable.

We had our wedding reception here on the 19th March 2016 with Julie and her team being very helpful throughout the process. All guest commented on how great the food was even catering for gluten free. The rooms were great with good access for one disabled guest. The grounds were a brillant setting for a wedding even though it was chilly! We wouldnt have changed a thing at the venue, they even packed all our decorations away for us the morning after! Thank you to Lakeview for making the day so special and we would recommend it anyone looking to have a wedding in Devon.

Good, treated us well and nice room. Only complaint was the toilet had some odd stuff that didn't go away despite flushing.

Pros: -Low cost (would pay £30 more for the accomodation and service we got) -Really good, high quality food (very rich! ) -FREE Wi-Fi -Staff are nice -Quiet hotel -Lake with wildlife (saw ducks outside my hotel room! ) -Very comfortable and cozy rooms Cons: -Absoloutley NO phone service (free Wi-Fi copensates) -Bit hard to find, remote. Overall, this hotel is really nice and the staff are lovely-Will visit again.
