Stayed at. This pub with our dog lovely and clean very friendly people and the food was exceptional would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Went for a family lunch, can’t praise the staff enough for their service and beautiful food. They catered for my vegan request with a dish of stuffed peppers, the others largely went for the lamb which they all said was delicious and well presented!

Really good atmosphere, good food and great service. The staff go out of their way to make sure all is going well. We're staying here tonight, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I've given 5 stars for this. I have not marked down the dodgy TV aerial connection and that the Wi-Fi is flaky and does not stretch to the bedrooms. Not a major issue as I'm not here working and the 4G connection is fine. I mention this to give feedback for the management as it may effect others and it's easily fixed. Great place.

This place is fantastic. I've been searching for proper British food, done well and reasonably priced for a long time. This is has nailed it on all fronts. The steak pie was possibly the best I've ever had and the smoked haddock with poached egg and mash was perfect. The deserts were so good that they sold out of top three choices and the 4th choice was delicious nonetheless. Not pretentious, average price, great food, cute location and pub.

This place ticks lots of boxes for a country pub you want to return to again and again. Good food, good service and a nice drinks choice to jeep you coming back. A nice sociable popular pub!

Lovely atmosphere, tasteful decor and subtle lighting. Very helpful and attentive staff. Food was home cooked and spot on, couldn't fault a thing, will definitely be back.

Not hugely impressive — didn't feel overly welcoming when we went in felt like the bar staff were doing us a favour serving a drink, even though the place was deserted. Beer Garden had a rain sodden and deflated bouncy castle just left in the corner and building works made it look half-finished and scruffy. The place looks like a bit of a work in progress to make it into a city centre style gastro pub rather than the trad village pub it used to be.

We had the most amazing vegetarian fish and chips there. I honestly would spend a few hours on the motorway to go back and have some again (and again) the moon Inn is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of England so there's every reason to visit. Staff are lovely, great beer… see for yourself.

Nice food, seems to be freshly prepared. Polite, friendly and efficient staff. Nice decor on the inside, appreciated the local photography shown on the walls. Not too keen on the rubbish heap in the car park.

Had a delicious family meal to celebrate my husbands special birthday, friendly staff who looked after us and a great atmosphere, highly recommend. Thank you The Moon Inn.

Good food and great staff. Parking is a little restricted and little parking nearby. So get in early. Been a few times now and service is consistent :-)

We stayed 2 nights here with my brother and sister inlaw. On arrival we thought whoops what have we done there was building work being done and looked a little messy but when we walked in we were pleasantly surprised very tastefully refurbished. We were shown to our rooms these had everything we needed lovely furniture comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom with all the extras. We managed to book a table for the evening and wasn't disappointed fantastic! the men haf the pies they were amazing I had sea bass. We then booked for the next night fillet steak was the best I would like to thank Kevin for looking after us that evening. Thanks keep the good work up x.

A proper country inn, with excellent staff, a warm greeting, good food good ale and a very warm welcome from the proprietors, just as it should be…
Chef's special of Venison was superb and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the Seafood Chowder. Compliments to the chef and keep up the good work.
No surprise that the place is always busy.

What a fabulous eatery!. Excellent service, lovely relaxing atmosphere but best of all the food is to die for. Highly recommend the steaks-my family said they were the best theve ever tasted. Added bonus of free taxi. Well done Joy and all xxxthe Judge family.

The steak and ale pie is a must! The meat just melts in your mouth. But make sure you are hungry before you visit. All the produce is locally sourced. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere and definately worth the visit. Would certainly recommend.
