The food was absolutely beautiful. I normally don’t have Sunday Roast Dinners but this was exceptional. I highly recommend people try this place proper home cooked food.

The best place for Sunday lunch, only place I will go, staff extremely nice and helpful xx.

Went for Carvery today, which was lovely by the way. What let this hotel down is extremely poor service, most staff seemed more interested in chatting at reception. Catalogue of silly errors from the staff that resulted in us deciding not to return. Train your staff more efficiently & split the area's. Have a senior team member on the floor, not 2 stuck in reception. Communication was the main let down, table not checked, had to ask for dessert menu several times, waited over 20 minutes for 2 Eton Messes, eventually received 2 flavoured ice creams with some squirty cream & marshmallows on top. No meringue or strawberry, mentioned this upon leaving to be told oh very odd, still charged £5.95 each though. Had a normal carvery & a small carvery, was charged for 2 large. I could go on but you get the idea. Shame really cause carvery & chef was lovely, just let down by others. Very disappointing.

Came today for a carvery and it didn’t disappoint. Plenty of meat, well done roast potatoes and the cauliflower cheese was super cheesy. The staff were great too. Highly recommend 🤩

We got married at Twin Oaks on 14/08/21 and it was an amazing day, everyone went above and beyond to ensure all went smoothly and all the guests commented on how friendly and accommodating all the staff were! Special shout out to Kayleigh our amazing wedding coordinator, Mark the manager and chef (food was delicious) and lovely Vicky who served the bar and food, and was there to greet us with a bucks fizz after the ceremony! Every single staff member working was so lovely and made our day amazing. Highly recommend Twin Oaks for an amazing wedding venue, wish we could do it all again! Thank you all xxx.

Had a great afternoon/ night last night for my sisters birthday. Excellent service and a great atmosphere. Food was delicious and the marquee was set up lovely. Finished the night off with Anthony parsons a brilliant vocalist on. Many thanks to all the staff for making it a great night.

Best pizza I’ve tasted in a long time. My kids absolutely loved it. We felt extremely comfortable in the marquee with a button system being operated. We will be back.

Great for cyclists 🚴🏻‍♀️ 🚵‍♀️ when they need a refreshing drink 🍺 whilst on their travels.

Absolutely delicious take away Sunday Lunch for Valentines Day ❤️♥️ The potion sizes are massive, delicious meat and great selection of veg. I have a few fussy men who don’t like this and that and the order was perfect, just as I ordered. Great customer service as well. Will definitely order again.

Lovely comfortable room, beautiful breakfast and fabulous staff. I am staying here while I visit my dad in the area and will be staying again in a few weeks. My dad wants to stay next time too even though he lives locally. Xx.

Nice quiet place to stay comfortable room with everything thing need only thing slightly negative is the choice of TV channels are very basic.

Stayed over night recently, very nice quiet hotel, the staff are very friendly couldn’t do enough for us and the food was amazing,
The family room was very nice too, with added extra touch of free toiletries and tea, coffee facilities.

We came for dinner, not overnight stay. The food was delicious, well cooked, hot, great service, friendly and efficient staff. We would defo come here again. We are considering an overnight stay, very reasonable rates.

The carvery on Sundays is amazing and good value for money. The food is well cooked and today 4 meats to choose from. The staff are all polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I would most definitely recommend Twin Oaks Hotel to anyone.

Went to twin oaks today for a meeting and I have to say the service we received from a young gentleman called Ben was amazing. He gave us a fabulous experience. He was polite and friendly and very helpful. He’s a credit to your business and we will be returning again because we felt very well looked after. Even when he was leaving after his shift he still took the time to check we were okay and had everything we needed. The food was great too.

Absolutely amazing meal this evening. The goats cheese Bon Bons are to die for. Head chef Mark dished up a delicious meal, above and beyond expectations. The bar lady was fabulous, attentive and welcoming xx 5 stars all round xx.

Had the most fabulous meal tonight, it was stunning! The Manager was hands on and attentive, the bar staff great — couldn’t fault anything and would highly recommend a visit! Was talking to a couple of guys staying in the Motel, who were saying it was faultless too!

My daughter and myself enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, with G&T, very polite and friendly staff, would recommend to anyone.

This has now become our go to stopover when we are on the road following the POMPEY.
The rooms are always clean and fresh. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is very nice. The bar area is nice and comfortable. All in all a lovely place.

Massive car boot sale but to best bargains you have to pay £5entry fee per adult before 12, 30 then entry £1

Great Sunday carvery today, really good service, tender meat with a great choice. Christmas party nights are well worth a visit too, I’ve been 3 times and have never been disappointed.

Great car boot sale whether you are a buyer or a seller. Loads of free parking, places to eat and drink, toilets definitely go at 12.30 and pay £1.50 to get in. Easy access via M1 motorway and beautiful area to stay and visit other local places of interest.

Converted miner’s cottages make this convenient hotel/motel just off the m1 in chesterfield. The bar area is well decorated as is the brasserie. The lower rating is because on certain days the site hosts a very large car boot sale and all the traffic passes through the hotel car park. Also the level of service requires significant improvement. For example, not being able to serve food to paying guests when a wedding is in progress.

Our wedding day thanks to Twin Oaks has been fantastic. Completely stress free thanks to Jemma our wedding co-ordinator. The venue is lovely, bright clean and the food was amazing. Everyone commented on how good our wedding day meals were. We took you up to capacity, 70 day guests, 140 night guests and 20 plus rooms booked Friday night, and all rooms bar 1 or 2 on Saturday. Housekeeping were fabulous, the bar staff brilliant and a special shout out to Ben. Your a credit to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for you. Always smiling and happy to help anyone that needed it. Our guests loved the venue as much as we did. And the Addition of the new 55inch TV in the bar ready for our guests to watch the England World Cup game was most appreciated. Thank you again. Mr and Mrs Lavender xx.

It's essentially a motel but with high end rooms. Great night's sleep.

Attended a wake here today. It was an excellent spread of food. Staff were welcoming too.

An excellent hotel with many features. I've had friends stay overnight after an excellent Xmas dinner and disco night. Food was excellent too and the staff very friendly with quick service throughout the night. Ample parking for guest. The hotel is tucked away just off junction 29 of the M1. I also frequent the massive car boot that is on in the adjacent fields every Saturday morning for most of the year. Overall an excellent place to stay over on those long journeys, Well recommended to all.

Only went there for boot sale and enterance was £5 per person to buy at it and 8 to sell way to much for just to purchase if you wanted to £ 5 per person.

I was very pleased with my stay at twin oaks all the staff were wonderfully. Hotel and rooms were spotless. I would definitely stay hear again.

I was at twin oaks for the car boot they have in the field, it is a decent size and a lot of parking.

First class wedding experience (although very quick to clear away and took 3 full drinks from table and disposed of them whilst we were having photos taken. Not happy about that as one was Champaign and they refused to replace them because the waitress denied taking them — even though I pointed to the actual glasses on the tray waiting for washing as they still had the drinks in them behind the bar). Young man behind the bar was very rude about me asking for them back and flatly refused which made me very embarrassed.

Our U3A Walking group had our annual meal at the Twin Oaks. It was very good, though the service was slow. I sufficient staff, could have done with 2 more servers.

I attend a regular monthly meeting here, there are problems with wheelchair accessibility. The meeting room is upstairs. There is plenty of parking and it is easily accessible being just off the M1. The food is not bad.

On arrival was welcomed at reception. Informed about amenities. Given key card for room which is lovely. The shower is powerful. Very tidy and modern. Dinner was very nice. Looking forward to breakfast. Breakfast was plentiful. Warm and filled a spot recommend for weekend getaway.

Stayed there with work when I was attending a course. Nice rooms and location. Only 3 stars due to nothing to do after your evening meal like a pool table or a dart board… dont think id pay with to stay there with my own money though.

Lovely hotel but the rooms and bathrooms are very small. The mattress was battered. The bar and restaurant area is nice. The food was good. Staff is very attentive and polite. Nice garden.

Despite being from Bolsover this is the 1st time I have eaten here in 30yrs! We had the carvery and they have it right, so many places run out of things but this was great, good food, pleasant and helpful servers, good experience all round. It won't be 30 yrs before we return!

Went here for a wedding. Externally it's not the prettiest venue but the interior is quite nice. Not a huge selection of drinks either but the food is very good. Staff were very efficient and the place was very clean.

Stayed for three nights. Quiet location within 1/2 mile junction 29 M1. Friendly staff good food and service. Good bar.

A very pleasant bar and restaurant aesthetically. However, service at the bar was extremely slow. In addition, delay with pre ordered food. Furthermore, food was poor. Pate served in square ramekin very hard, should be sliced. Bread served with pate was stale. Pate tasted ok. Main, tuna was over cooked, risotto was very stodgy. The sauce with king prawns in was very nice.

Thank you so much for our perfect wedding reception last night, we really did have the best time and so did all of our guests. Fantastic staff who have been there for us since the day we booked with yourselves and they were super helpful getting tables and things ready for us before hand. The buffet was incredible everyone commented on how nice it was. Our suit was lovely, especially the little balcony. Would recommend this place to anyone for their wedding / reception.

You really do go above and beyond, they are a credit! The food is outstanding and the service second to none! You made our wedding day absolutely perfect! And we cannot thank you enough! Had my wedding here Oct 29th 2016! It was the most wonderful night! The staff were so helpful, the food was amazing, all our guests commented on how lovely and fun the day was. Mark on the reception couldn't do enough for myself and the bridesmaids the night before! Waiting on us hand and foot and Kayleigh the wedding coordinator was the most pleasant girl, the decor for our wedding breakfast was beautiful, and it was done with no direction from us. We just handed over the decorations and she turned them into something wonderful we will be back for a meal sometime soon!

We had a family room for one night. The beds were comfortable, the room was a good size, very clean, nice bathroom with spa. The kids' bed was a sofa bed which was OK as they were 6 and 8 years old but would be too small for older children.

We just went to the carboot, their was a rotten women on one of the food stands which was abrupt but apart from that it was a great event. With loads of lovely people taking part that made the atmosphere really pleasent. The carpark staff were helpful but not great at listening as they asked if we were waiting for a bus whilst sitting on a bench and we told them we were getting a lift home and they told us a 59 bus was on its way which was very weird because they didn't even know where we were going because we didn't give out that information so they didn't have a clue. But apart from that was a great day with pleasent atmosphere and loads of choice of stalls. All around phumbs up.

Me and a few others attended the psychic night, and they were very well organised, we got ourselves a drink at the bar which was reasonably priced to be honest I thought is was going to cost a fortune. We were then shown to our tables as the event included a set meal and the meal was beautiful I really wish we had booked a room for the night as the hotel is about 20 miles from us and had the get a taxi both ways I suppose it's something the think about next time :)

Food was lovely. However the service was appalling and really let the experience down. The layout for the carvery is shocking as the lady behind the counter can only serve one person at a time, having to wait for them to get their veg before serving the next person — bottle neck. Anyway lead to the food being cold by the time we ate it. Also three large tables were waiting in the queue for the carvery at once. Hardly fair on the lady behind the counter nor the customers.

Me and my husband spent a night here for a weekend away. It proved to be a lovely night. The staff were brilliant, attentive, friendly and ever so helpful. We dined in there restaurant that evening and the food was beautiful. Our room was immaculate, well kept and fashionably decorated. It made for a fantastic experience breaking up the norm of our usual weekends. Will definitely come back again when we want to spoil our self.

After looking at a few places to hold our wedding reception we decided to try the Twin Oaks Hotel, we arranged an appointment to talk to the wedding organizers, Jemma and Kaleigh. Not knowing what to expect we were really apprehensive but we need not have worried. From the moment we walked through the door we were treated like the most important people in the place. They sat and listened to everything that we wanted then made suggestions, they worked with us throughout and nothing was to much trouble. The complimentary menu tasting was amazing and to be commended. Everything was as we planned, they bent over backwards to make our day extra special, the food was first rate and no one was left wanting. The staff were friendly and polite, they even kept some of the children entertained. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. We couldn't fault anything. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Had a great stay at the twin oaks. Stayed here for a training course in Shirebrook, the facilities were excellent and the food was brilliant. Very friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere.

Had a great Stay at Twin Oaks Hotel, situated in an ideal location less then one min from the motorway, Junction 29 M1 Staffs are all very friendly and the Food is out of this world Highly Recommend Twin Oaks.
