Highly recommend the Hilton House Hotel. The food is absolutely amazing. Beautifully presented and tastes great. The many times I have eaten here I have not had a bad meal. Christmas Day lunch was perfect, beautiful food and very attentive service. The new team are doing a wonderful
job. So much improved from how it used to be. Well done 👏🏼 I am looking forward to many more great meals and occasions here. 🎉

Just had a really lovely meal here. 4 of us and we all said the food was excellent.
Big portions and everything was fresh and well cooked. Definitely will be coming again.

Went for Sunday lunch today highly recommended, the food cooked by the chef Gabriel was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection.

Absolutely delicious takeaway afternoon tea for Valentine’s Day. Beautiful fresh filled sandwiches and amazing sweet treats. I’m hoping this will be available for Mother’s Day.

We had our wedding here last week and would like to thank Laura, Adam and the rest of the team for a wonderful day. Room was decorated beautifully and the food was amazing. Overnight stay was very comfortable, finished off with a lovely breakfast. Highly recommended.

Had my wedding at the Hilton House last weekend. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness from start to finish was so helpful. The rooms looked great and the food was fabulous, everyone had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend for weddings or any special event!

Fantastic evening at the Jersey Boys and Take That tribute. Food, entertainment and staff were all excellent. Will definitely be booking for another one.

14/03/2020, a group of us went to the Hilton house hotel to watch the Jersey boys and take that tribute, they were brilliant and a fantastic night was had by all, will definitely be coming back for future events.

We had my mums ‘Celebration if life’ do at the Hilton House and Laura and Adam were amazing. We had a buffet which catered for everyone that came, and we had so many wonderful comments about how delicious the food was and how lovely and spacious the room is. I would defiantly have another event here as the staff were amazing and lovely. Thank you again, it’s a day we can remember forever.

I attend the first new years eve bash last night. It was absolutely fantastic. Great food, great singers and the staff were very attentive. If I could give 10 stars I would. 5 stars! Well done Hilton Hotel.

We arrived here to help with dressing the room for a wedding! Lovely location, ample parking and friendly welcoming service! Our room was lovely with the added character of the beams! Room was lovely and clean staff were very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this as a great friendly pub with lots going on! It is a beautiful location for your wedding! 10/10

Just wanted to give a big shout out and thankyou to Adam and the team at the Hilton house hotel who hosted my birthday party yesterday. Nothing was too much trouble for this amazing team who from first initial enquiry months ago to the end of the event yesterday were extremely professional throughout. I can highly recommend this venue and the food was exactly as I asked for including an afternoon tea style buffet and evening bbq. The burgers were some of the best I've ever tasted and made on site! They even catered for food intolerances with special plates put aside for these people. Those of you with small children need to pop over as a new children's play area opened yeterday too and this along with complimentary bouncy castle makes it a great child friendly venue. Keep it local (venue decorated beautifully by Natalie at Frily's boutique! )

What an amazing couple Laura and Adam are went above and beyond for my daughter's wedding nothing was to much for them, truly wonderful.

Laura, Adam and all the staff were more than helpful in ensuring one of the best days of our lives went really well. Both chefs (Wedding Breakfast, buffet and mornings Breakfast) did a great job in ensuring all that our guests said about the food was, that it was really nice. Nothing was too much trouble for Laura and Adam and we both believe that they couldn't have helped more. We really recommend this place. Thank you.

Had just the one night here room was very good we stayed in the annexes part was very quite, staff exellent and the food and breakfast was very good, wouldrecommend.

Nice place, staff very helpful. Currently a limited on places to photograph if there for wedding but understand they are expanding the area. Overall nice place very organised and understanding.

Zoe was brilliant with handling our wedding from start to finish. Amazingly priced for the size of the venue also. We did all our own decorations which Zoe helped hang. All our guests commented on how cheap the were and how nice the buffet was. The kids loved the large dance floor and the safe garden to play in. Would defiantly recommend to all.

Incredible wedding venue. The food was lovely, the staff were extremely helpful and my guests all said how lovely the atmosphere was! Some guests also stayed in the hotel as well as myself, and the rooms were lovely and the breakfast was great! Would highly recommend.

Room was in an annex to the main building. Despite being the warm outside the room was cold and needed the electric heater on. No central heating in this part of the building. The heater provided in the room was faulty, but quickly replaced by reception. Ceilings were low in the room and if you stood up in the bath it was easy to hot your head. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was well cooked. Room was well presented with tea and coffee making facilities.

We booked for Sunday lunch and whilst it was ok we felt rushed. The staff were friendly and efficient but we booked for 1.00 pm, we had a starter and a carvery and were finished for 1.30 pm so may be too efficient. We declined a pudding and the bill was slapped straight on our table. We left to go somewhere else for coffee as we were not offered this.

Rooms to hot it was a nice warm day and they still had heater on makeing it to hot in room to sleep we could not open windows as the pub was below us and people sat outside drinking keep us up not so good with 2 year old in toe we booked a 3 night stay but only stayed the 1 night need some sleep.

Unfriendly staff especially towards ethnic minority. Don't host an event there. The food I'd is nothing to write home about. Terrible service simply put!

We go to the Hilton house every Fri because the meals are varied, reasonably priced and the portions are amazing. The staff are very friendly and efficient.

We got married here in November 2017, and have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. The staff were friendly and professional, and we were very impressed with Zoe who took us through the whole process of organising a wedding. We felt from the beginning on that we were in good hands, and the planning was easy even though we were living abroad for most of the preparations. We liked the tasty food and cosy atmosphere, and nothing was ever too much trouble to alter to our tastes.

The atmosphere was nice, but I'm a wheelchair user & there were little steps everywhere. As we were attending a wake, it wasn't as if I could just choose to go elsewhere. I had to get my crutches out of the car and struggle to move around the venue.

No atmosphere, beef tough salty potatoes. Just boring.

Our first christmas meal out ever. We have had an absolutely lovely meal great service. Thanks to all the staff quick, pleasant and efficient.

Stayed here for my brothers wedding. Rooms are lovely. Staff are lovely and friendly and bar prices were great and cheap. Breakfast the next morning was very welcoming lol. It was lovely.

Visited recently for a few drinks. Good atmosphere and top beer.

Wow! We got married here last month "September 16th" and had the single most amazing day of our lives! The food was incredible, the whole service we received was amazing! From the moment we booked it through our very short 3 and half months of planning, right the way through the day! Absolutely incredible!
Plus… Zoe did an amazing job of helping with the Paper pom poms during decorating

Me and my husband had a carvery and a dessert each on Sunday. We also had a large glass of wine and a J20. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The service was very good and all the staff were lovely. The price was very good too.

Would give 0 stars if possible. We arrived one evening in our motorhome as we had relatives staying in the hotel. I asked permission to stay in their car park overnight, so we could have drinks in the bar with our relatives, and was told that would be okay by the most senior member of staff on site. Several hours (and drinks) later, the owner arrived and informed me that motorhomes are not welcome 'because of gypsies' (very racist/discriminatory attitude) so she was not 'legally allowed' to let us stay over. This is not true and many pubs in the area allow overnight stays. I told her I had already asked and been given permission, so had been drinking. Her response was that I'd have to wait a few hours, then leave. This put me in a very difficult position in relation to possible drink driving, and left us looking for somewhere else to stay at the last minute. Far from ideal with two children. I took one full and one half finished drink back to the bar and asked for a refund as I wouldn't be able to carry on drinking alcohol. Given the circumstances, I would have expected a full refund and an apology. Instead I was refused a refund on the half finished drink. When I pointed out it would have been the least she could do, the owner told me she wasn't bothered because I wasn't local so they wouldn't be losing business.

Great selection of beers with impressive food. The Abbot is my personal favourite here. The staff are always very friendly. This place allows well behaved dogs both inside and in the nice relaxing beer garden.

Hilton house was in a great location and was easy to find, the rooms were excellently well kept and the staff were very friendly.

Warm country pub feel with beamed ceilings. Spacious function room and reasonable hot drinks supplied.

Lovely place to dine and enjoy a few drinks with friends. Staff are welcoming and a good selection of real ales!

Working locally, you cant beat a good powerful shower (room 106) after hard shift, good rooms, good food, good night.

Fantastic party night at Hilton House Hotel last Saturday 19th December, we were a party of 16 from Derby NHS, food was really good, and plenty of it (3 courses + coffee) after the DJ got everyone involved, we all agreed it was one of the best nights we've had. Great value too, superb atmosphere, no wonder it was sold out — Thanks Hilton House — Almost forgot great pint of Red Wolf too :)

Great place to hold a meeting as close to the A50. Lovely warm welcome. Highly recommend.

An excellent Sunday Carvery at this venue — highly recommended. Great food and service and one place we enjoy going to as a family.

We had our wedding reception at the Hilton House Hotel, and it was a fantastic relaxed day from start to finish. Zoe and Colin covered everything and you felt able to ask anything without feeling it being a daft question, nothing was too much trouble. All our guests commented on how impressed they were with the reception room, and the buffet in the evening, the in house DJ was brilliant and will play music of your choice without quibbling. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hilton House Hotel to anyone wanting to plan a wedding or any other function.

You can take the dogs in the cosy bar for a drink after a good walkies.

Nice clean spacious room and comfortable bed. First class customer service. Overslept and missed breakfast. Staff laid on a special breakfast for me, never felt so special! Good access, parking, location and excellent value. Wish I'd known it was going to be that good as I heard the food was good. Strongly recommend.

June 2011 The Hilton House Hotel was the venue for our civil wedding ceremony, wedding reception and evening reception. What a fantastic choice of venue, the wedding room was beautiful then during photo's was transformed to the reception room with sit down dinner then after speeches transformed again to the evening reception room with disco. Cannot praise Zoe and her staff enough for their attention to detail, everything ran like clockwork and we were made to feel as nothing was too much trouble. All rooms were booked by our guests for an overnight stay and they all agreed that service could not be faulted. The standard of food was very high both during the wedding and morning breakfast. Well done Zoe and thanks for everything.

New owners, new attitude, nice beer, sensible menu, decorations carried out. They are spending time and effort to re-establish this place as somewhere nice to stay. Had stayed here before 2 years ago and was not impressed. Was booked in by my secretary recently and feared the worst when I realised. I shouldn't have been. The place is unrecognisable.
