Very nice indeed. Friendly, great location, nice food. Drinks not cheap.

Not a full service hotel. No one at reception and when you do finally find someone, they're not trained for reception. No one answers the phone when you ring from your room. They had a small event there and when we arrived they told us that because of this, they didn't have any food left to serve us dinner, after we had booked in advance. They state that there is free Wi-Fi but no one is there to tell you what the password is and there is no note left in the room to tell you either. My towel had a womans mascara and eye shadow stains on it! There was no body wash in the shower, there were empty beer bottles in the cupboard where they keep the mini fridge, which was hot inside due to being kept in a closed cupboard with no ventilation for the hot air to escape. They provide you with a kettle and teas but no milk. We stayed in the Kedleston room and it is definitely not worth the price. Very disappointing.

A great place too visit with plenty of history and country walks in the summer time.

Great champagne breakfast. Excellent food and service, ideal place to go before a walk around kedleston hall just down the road.

Very quiet, lacking atmosphere. Food excellent. Needs to advertise it is happy to take bookings for the restaurant.

I went for a job trial here and found the manager very rude. She got one of the other staff members to ask me to leave and said she would 'call me' I've never heard from her. There was not even a thank you for rearranging my night for them. Very disapointent in the management, the place is beautiful and could be so much more.

We went to kedleston country hotel before Christmas last year totally satisfied. Food great. Service. Couldn't fault it. Today we arrived not even in the same league. Yesterday we rang up and arranged for 2 less places and no high chair. Table was still set for 10 and not 8 obviously the message had not filtered through. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask twice were the drinks order was. Having said, the food when it finally arrived was excellent, I had local roast beef which was tender, and cooked to perfection. This won't put us off returning but would hope things return to pre Christmas standards as is a wonderful place.

Only stop in occasionally for a drink but a very peaceful impressive setting with some good beverages to choose from.

We are planning our wedding at The Kedleston Country House Hotel and have had nothing but a pleasant and incredibly helpful service. The hotel itself is a great place to stay and explore the local area or just sit back and relax.

Food took at least an hour in between each course and when it arrived it wasn't at the correct temperature. Wouldn't recommend paying a visit to the restaurant. It's a shame because location of the place is very beautiful.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The food was very nice with an extensive drinks menu. The bar area was very nicely decorated with a modern, cosy atmosphere.

We visited the kedleston for a champagne breakfast to celebrate our engagement and have now booked exclusive use for our wedding. Super friendly staff and a beautiful building!

Extremely disappointing and a huge rip-off! I had my very first afternoon tea with a special friend today and we both felt really let down by Kedleston. This was supposed to be a special treat bought as a gift. The food was very; sparse and unappetising, scones were tiny and very hard and despite pre-notice that one of us was vegetarian most were filled with fish. (There were 3 tiny fingers each) Coffee was a let down too and did not taste like a latte. We would have unreservedly complained if we had paid £18 EACH for this dismal offering. I would not recommend this place and would not visit here again in a hurry. Finally, the most disappointing aspect for me was that I read that a new manageress started around April 2017 who responded to a post on here which complained about the same. She said that they would take it on board, look into the issues and revamp the menu. These complaints have just been sidelined and ignored. This should have been a packed restaurant as it was a Saturday but barely a quarter full. I wonder why… Kedleston Hall. You need to take your reviews more seriously and act on them.

Lunch midweek for two Nice place/dining room, friendly staff, etc. But very limited lunchtime menu Food was reasonable but somewhat expensive I wouldn't return for a lunchtime meal.

Great dining, look and feel, especially the snug area. The beer and other drink choices are very good and top quality.

I was here on a Sunday afternoon for a car meet and BBQ. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Great service quality food content and a business moving forwards. In a year or 2 should have international placement within heritage luxury international country houses.

We had my husband's 50th birthday party there and both the food and the service were excellent. They also helped us find a singing duo who were excellent singers. Many of our guests commented on what a great party it was! The price was reasonable. We would recommend this venue.

Lovely surroundings, great place to go for a quiet drink in their gardens, inside is nicely decorated but unfortunately their afternoon tea isn't up to much, ended up getting one refunded due to lack of quality.

Extremely nice place to go. Very tastefully decorated. Good selection of drinks and food and if you are lucky enough to have nice weather it's nice to sit outside.

The freshly refurbished hotel is set in a lovely location. The staff are very welcoming right from arrival, drinks in the bar and during dinner. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this establishment.

Been to this place quite a few times over the last year. The setting and staff are really nice. Lively place to relax on a sunny afternoon, they have since interesting beverages too. The food however has unfortunately took a turn. Both my partner and I did not enjoy our last meal, neither were cooked properly and we sadly went away dissatisfied. I'd recommend for a a drink with friends but be cautious about spending out on a meal.

It's a beautiful country house hotel situated in stunning surroundings. Lovely staff and the service is second to none.

AMAZING food and service. Came here for my birthday as a surprise and the staff couldn't do enough. A surprise happy birthday pre desert on a plate from the chef, a glass of bubbles from the bar and then a glass of wine and coffee on the house (although this was due to the souffle being delayed) nether the less this place really did make me feel special. Highly recommended and can't wait to come back here again.
