We stayed at the Hallmark Mickleover Court for one night during June while attending a friend's wedding. The hotel, staff and amenities were all excellent. As a guest the wedding felt well run by attentive staff. Would gladly stay again wen visiting friends in the are.

Nice for a drink. We have never stayed there because we live nearby. They were welcoming a coach party in the bar area. Everyone was happy. They are hospitable. Public areas are clean and well kept.

Absolutely superb everybody who worked with in the hotel did their best to make us feel happy and comfortable I was very impressed. The food was at a very high standard and an extremely good choice. As you see I have given it five stars because it deserves it.

The room was ok but bathroom was poor. The staff were friendly and helpful too. However the prices were extortionate for drinks, I recommend you go elsewhere rather than pay the insane prices they demand.

Had a great weekend at this hotel staff fantastic rooms great enjoyed every minute of granddaughter wedding.

Staff very competent, meals very enjoyable, rooms kept to a high standard. Could be a little better at breakfast time but good all the same.

Not a good experience at all, swimming pool and changing rooms were dirty, most of the bathroom doors did not close properly, staff were very rude and disrespectful, menu was not specific leading to my vegetarian mum being served pieces of fish in her salad, they also gave us invalid tickets to Chatsworth House causing us to travel 1 hour only to find out our tickets were not valid. Very disappointed, would not recommend.

The hotel has a high standard. The rooms are clean, with big beds and a good layout. Our room was a bit noisy due to a close dual carriageway. We used the spa facilities, a main reason why we booked this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ghe hotel is in a good location eady to find. I would highly recommend a stay there.

Nice quiet ambiance. Good atmosphere. Relatively expensive drinks. Needs some refurbishment, tatty ripped carpeting. Good facilities.

Had a wonderful stay. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Pool was nice to use as was the jacuzzi and sauna. Evening meal and breakfast were both tasty and staff were friendly and efficient.

A bit disappointing to have two single beds pushed together (not even physically secured to each other) rather than a double, not greatly comfy. Restaurant OK, although service not the quickest.

Very functional rooms, beds were comfortable but it was it need of an update. Everything just felt a little dated and could do with a good clean and refresh. It's good if you need a bed for a night but wouldn't stay for longer than the night.

Totally amazing couldn't have wished for better service nothing was too much trouble & the food was fantastic couldn't fault it all. Very reasonably priced, excellent value for money. Would highly recommend it anyone. Fully looking forward to our son & future daughter in laws wedding in April, really feel that we will have no worries over the reception at all.

Friendly, smiling, helpful staff to greet us. Large, comfortable, clean family rooms. Good facilities, lovely warm swimming pools. Tasty, food with good choice for breakfast.

If you're looking for a spar break don't book this hotel as it definitely isn't a a spar retreat it's a hotel with a privately run salon within, that wasn't cheap and trying to enjoy a massage was a disaster with doors constantly being banged along the narrow corridor as for the hotel I asked for a room on a higher level on booking and didn't receive one which was annoying as there was a private party going on the bass was loud and continued past midnight, if you do eat here DON'T order the mussels they were tiny and definitely not 1/2 kilo as advertised you get nothing with them apart from two pieces of bread which I didn't use because the clear liquor wasn't nice And as for the drinks I asked for two regular cokes and was brought to sugar free Pepsi max when I asked why the manager he said because of the sugar tax on soft drinks which was ironic he didn't ask if I wanted them replaced or refunded and I now know why because they are a ripp off over £7:50 for two cokes never again you definitely get the impression with this place that they are more interested in getting your money that giving a service.

Visited Beau Chic beauty salon. Saw Natalie and had my nails done. Very enthusiastic, polite, cheerful, friendly and a perfectionist in her work. Showed me all the new Autumn colours in polish, and helped me choose. Went the extra mile and and moisturized my hands for me.

Good rooms, especially the suites. I think it suffers from being a little understaffed, possibly with a high staff turnover. I've stayed a few times over the last couple of months and there always seems to be a new team member who's slightly overwhelmed when a queue for check-in/checkout/bar forms. I'd give the restaurant and bar a miss, and head out into Mickleover or Derby. Service in the restaurant can be incredibly slow. I just waited 25 mins to have my order taken. A couple of weeks ago, it took 40 mins for fish and chips. And make sure to double-check the receipt. Items that "aren't available" might still be charged for if you asked for them. I like the hotel and the location, but the restaurant and the staffing levels really let it down.

We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner included. We feel received great value for money as the meals were brilliant and the service in the restaurant was excellent, in particular José. Thank you for a great weekend.

Booked a suite for 78 guests (Limousin Cattle breeders club) last night and in adjacent suite another function (wedding party) for similar no. Of people only to find the bar was not staffed when we arrived and had to use main bar where only 1 member of staff working. Shocking service, particularly as we had reserved 14 bedrooms and thus entire value of our booking (including drinks) must have been c £5k. Meal was ok/good but my main course had been served whilst I was getting drinks in and someone from our table came to take over after eating his, so I could have my main course. — that's how slow the bar service was.

Looks much better on the inside of the building. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Spa facilities were lacking; Jacuzzi was broken, as were fountains & water jets. When enquiring, the jets & fountains had been broken for years… Loungers around pool had green mould on the seat cushions and changing rooms were really quite appalling ie drains blocked, mouldy ceilings. Steam room was not that steamy. On the up-side the restaurant was lovely, perfect food and service. I had a beef ragu and it was beautiful. Bedroom was lovely & plenty of complimentary drinks, etc. Would stay again but I wouldn't go specifically for a spa day.

Lovely hotel and attentive staff. The exterior could do with a bit of touching up though… looks a bit dingy but the interior is fantastic.

Stayed here for a few nights. Best described as dated and in need of a refurbishment. Rooms are comfortable. The restaurant is pleasant but I find the pudding menu needs expanding.

Enjoyed a birthday meal with my family in the restaurant. The staff were excellent making me feel very special. The food was very good, well done!

Nice impartial hotel. 24hr room service menu limited. Seating on balconies would be good. Exterior decor needs a lick of paint and flowers in the flower boxes. 11am check out room maids eager outside door. But overall a nice hotel does what it says on the tin. Staff helpful. Nice views good location.

This hotel is brilliant. Rooms, food and staff work perfectly together. With the bonus of being so close to Alton Towers, we loved the experience. Will be definitely using Hallmark again.

Not impressed with the hotel. When checking in we asked about spa & pool facilities for the next morning & was told open from 9. We went down to find it was closed for refurbishment. The check-in staff should of informed us of this. We booked the hotel because it had a pool and we could not us it. We did not have dinner there but breakfast was over cooked bog standard grease. It took ages for our teas & coffees to be brought out to us. The room had a noisy air con & hairs in the bath. When pulling the beds apart there was dust under the bed. I wouldn't personally recommend staying here.

Nice hotel good facilities and friendly accommodating staff. Conference facility was well equipped. Lunch buffet was a bit too basic for my taste but good nonetheless.

Friendly staff, good food cooked fresh, double bed comfy. Modern hotel, round mezzanine level in 1st floor and glass elevator quirky. Could do with at least one more real ale on draft at bar and more space for breakfast at busy times to avoid queuing for table.

We held our daughters wedding at this hotel and would highly recommend it and the staff involved in the process. We were able to taste the food before we chose the menu. The package was good value because it was out of season and we were very lucky with the weather. Nothing was too much trouble. A truly great day was had by all from morning till night. Thank you to all involved.

After we arrived in our room, the air con was not working and after we complained we were offered a bigger room on the roof. It was a family room with loads of space. Everything to expect from 4* hotel.

Hotel looks a little outdated on the outside, however the lobby area was very luxurious. Reception was welcoming a efficient. Room was good value for what we paid, bed was a little lumpy. Breakfast was included in our rate, which was buffet style, English and continental. It was good quality, hot and fresh. Check out was equally as efficient as check in. All in all a good stay.

Having previously visited the Hallmark for a business trip I returned this time to use the car valet service situated in underground car park. Excellent service, great value for money and worth the couple of miles trip. My car looked like new. I'll be back.

Stayed for one night. Service very good, great rooms and brill facilities. Was nice to have jacuzzi and saina to unwind. Recommended.

Had a short stay here. 2 breakfasts, and 1 dinner on day of our choice. Food excellent good choice, lovely breakfast set you up for the day. Service very good effiecient but friendly. All the staff friendly and welcoming, from reception to cleaning staff. For the price, the room was fabulous. Large and comfortable huge comfy bed with extra pillows in wardrobe. Free wi fi and digital tv. Tea making facilities and fridge. We took a jug of milk for tea making and kept in fridge.! Bathroom clean and extra towels. Highly recommended. Cannot review spa and pool facilities as we did not use them.
