Had a lovely 2nd time at Ringwood hall The only thing that spoilt our experience was the evening restaurant. The menu was very limited too it wax nearly all fish! The young man who seemed to be in charge was not very friendly and the service was very hap hazard at times. The rest of the team in the daytime at the restaurant were very good. Owan who did the cocktail making course for us was excellent. The spa was excellent too.

After visiting the spa yesterday I can honestly say they need to think about replacing some of the staff. One of the therapist did nothing but moan about the company before & during my treatment. No relaxing music was played, she completely missed out massaging my feet. When we went through for lunch the staff was clearly unhappy about being at work. No smiles, no enjoy your food, 1 teabag between 2 people in a lukewarm pot of tea! Facilities in the spa out of order. At £129 per person, it's definitely overpriced!

The spa & massages were great but the restaurant was poor with barely any choice of food due to them not having many items available. The restaurant really let our stay down. Also needs air con in the rooms.

Lovely hotel, food is amazing fresh and tasty, the spa was amazing and peaceful, defiantly recommended and go again.

We can’t thank the team enough for making our wedding day perfect. We were looked after from start to finish and every part was perfect with guests commenting on the staff the venue and how lovely the food was. Sarah and myself can’t thank you enough for being a big part of the big day❤️

The spa treatment & spa area stunning best treatment back face & scalp. The food was lovely. The hotel staff great but the Hotel itself needs a good Gardner lots of weeds & flowers needed to be dead headed & climbing plants needed to be cut back be a cleaned up plus a lick of paint on the outside, inside great clean tidy nice loos. 3 weddings on so busy & the only down side one of the girls rooms was right next to the disco 🕺 so not a relaxing night sleep I.

Oh and there’s a giant swing for the big kids.

Overnight stay with spa. The staff were very attentive. The spa is small but was enough for our Mother daughter time we were very chilled. Meals were good we had afternoon tea and evening meal, both were fabulous. Our room was ready before lunch which was a bonus and spotless. We are abit biased because we love Ringwood Hall anyway and keep going back.

Needs updating and more competent staff serving in the evening meal restaurant. Young staff with no idea what they are doing! Two of the spa room not available, not told about it, even when the lady told us to fill our form out. ☹️

A lovely spa weekend spent with 10 friends. Friendly and efficient staff, wonderful food and the most relaxing spa treatments, and not to mention this beautiful heritage building and grounds. A wonderful weekend highly recommend.

What a lovely experience in the hotel and spa, the staff where fantastic. We loved our stay and would definitely go back. X.

The room was noisy. You could hear the people in the next room talking. There must of been an office on the other side. Could hear the phone ringing and the people talking. The afternoon tea was alright. They was good and made me some sandwiches without butter. We was booked in for an evening meal. I was very disappointed. There was nothing on the menu I would or could eat. I ended up with a small portion of chips. The waiting staff was alright. But I felt like they was staying away from us. This made me feel unwelcome.

Enjoyed a Spa Day with my daughter at Garden Secret Spa. Very relaxed day, lovely lunch and treatments included. Wonderful massages from Jen and Honey finished our day perfectly.

The hotel is nice, just a few disappointments.
The hotel had two weddings the first day we stayed so it felt as if normal guests weren’t a priority.
We were in a room away from the hotel so we had to walk to the hotel in the cold which we weren’t informed of when booking. The one bar that was opened for guests who weren’t at the wedding didn’t have any staff, no fruit for drinks, no bar snacks & on the last day we went for breakfast & we’re told there was a 20 minute wait for a table, with a long journey we wanted to get home.
For the price we paid & prices for drinks evening meal I think it was overpriced.

Fabulous hotel and rooms… comfortable bed as a struggle with my back alot… near to everything but still out the way if that makes sense fabulous staff very welcoming.

My sister got married yesterday and all I can say is the service was awful, lovely venue but you need new management.

I don’t recommend anything about Ringwood Hall. Very expensive, inexperienced staff, lack of facilities and the customer definitely didn’t come first — not worth the money. Thankfully very local to us so didn’t waste extra money on travelling expenses.

Nice little spa day however couple of things that we noticed, the pool was awfully cold, we noticed quite a few guests were saying the same thing. They also seemed pretty low on staff so took a while to sort things. Also one steam room wasn’t working. I think we would come back if the price was better as so many other spas that offer the same price with so much more to offer. I’d be very happy though If I was staying at the hotel and visited the spa. Just seemed a bit too basic for what was on offer for an actually spa day out. Staff were lovely and kind and the food was good😊 Also more options for drinks should be considered such as smoothies and alternative milks and maybe some spa snacks to purchase.

Amazing food and great staff, nothing is too much trouble. Sunday dinner is so good!

Would highly recommend! We've just had a wonderful valentine's meal for 2 to takeaway from Ringwood and it was beautiful. The presentation, portion size and temperature was perfect. It was such a lovely treat to enjoy at home. Many thanks to the chef, kitchen staff and all staff at Ringwood hall, we wouldn't hesitate to order again.

Absolutely amazing people, so understanding, kind and thoughtful and we've not even had the pleasure of getting married here yet. They have been utterly brilliant during this whole crisis and I can't thank them enough especially Becky in the weddings team. A true credit.

We celebrated our first year wedding anniversary here last week. Everything was just perfect! The hotel is stunning, our suite was beautiful, the gardens are absolutely amazing! I have a few food allergies but the staff were great at catering to them. We had the most delicious breakfasts, afternoon tea and dinner at the Coach House restaurant, I highly recommend the food. All staff were really helpful and friendly. We had a lovely relaxing Spa Day in the Secret Garden Spa which is just exquisite with fabulous treatments. We will definitely be visiting again.

We came for the twilight pizza and prosecco spa and it was amazing! well worth the money — with very welcoming and helpful staff!

Only went to restaurant. Food was brilliant but waiting for initial service was somewhat long so was the 40 minute wait between ordering dessert and it arriving. We wasn't offered extra drinks in that time either. We had to get up to ask staff for extra knife we were unable to get their attention. Shame when the food was so beautiful.

Ringwood hall went above and beyond yesterday for my sisters would have been wedding day, could not thank them enough for how special they made it. The food was amazing, wonderful staff members and great service.

Well I never actually thought I would write a review like this ever in my life and especially not about the place I got married at my wedding was out of this world and the staff to say amazing would be a understatement from booking to the actual day nothing was to much trouble they were amazing on the day ever thing went to plan bar a few issues we had from a supplier and it was the most amazing day of my life so for our first anniversary we booked to stay in our honeymoon suite and have a spa weekend unfortunately this horrible virus has taken over and like most places things have been cancelled not a problem I rang today to ask if we could have a refund as we won’t be coming next month and my husband who is self employed is currently out of work due to the situation and I’m a career for our disabled son so have no income and £400 is a massive sum of money that right now would be helpful to which I got told no refunds they need the money now to keep them afloat they can just move my booking WHAT? They are cancel my booking (get that I don’t wanna leave house anytime soon) but I can’t have my money back? Really well I’m ashamed I wish I hadn’t have given you one penny Ringwood!

I had my wedding reception at Ringwood 47 years ago! Of course the decorations and staff have changed too but it is still a very welcoming friendly place. The food is gorgeous, everything at Ringwood continues to be professional courteous and clients needs always a priority! Thank you.

Stayed here a few times and really like it here, great accommodation and food, the staff in the restaurant are very nice particularly Kelsey the waitress goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and welcome.

Had the pleasure of having a festival afternoon tea… Decorations looked very classy… food was delicious and plenty of it. Staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble… cannot wait to book in the summer. Amazing value and idealic setting.

Myself and my wife would like to thank the wonderful staff at ringwood for the best day of our lives. The master of ceremonies (Jen) was amazing and her professionalism and organisation was incredible. As many people know we had an absolute nightmare with our last venue before deciding to book with ringwood and I must credit ringwoods kindness and huge effort to ensure we could still have the wedding day that we’d dreamed of. I wish to also say a big thank you to John who is such a lovely man and gave us a great evening the night before our wedding at the meal. Thanks again and I would highly recommend this venue to everyone! It’s what dreams are made ❤️

Found all we saw very beautiful. A bit of a maze finding rooms lol, no lifts but otherwise could not moan about anything. Staff Really good, cleanliness spot on, Food very nice breakfast and wedding menu. Would love to visit again sometime x.

Attended a wedding here the grounds were beautiful, staff friendly and helpful the waitresses and waiters worked so hard and the gentleman in charge of the staff was very friendly and nothing was to much trouble very enjoyable day.

We attended the Garden Secret Spa yesterday and have to say it was wonderful! There was so much attention to detail and you feel instantly relaxed the second you stepped in. The spa features such as the vitality pool and herbal sauna were lovely. The fact you have a stunning view of the gardens wherever you look just adds to the relaxation. The welcome garden smoothie shot on arrival is a wonderful added touch and I love the keyless lockers with a wonderful parcelled up robe, … towel and garden secret flip flops waiting inside. Lunch and afternoon tea were really enjoyable and the treatments were AMAZING! There were three of us and we each had something different. I had the Euphoric balance full body massage, my colleague had the Infinity Flow warm stone massage and my other colleague had the signature mud patch hammam therapy. Everything is geared up to total body relaxation and you can tell that these guys take their jobs seriously. Nothing is half-done or left out; it feels like you're being completely pampered and everything is done for you. You can also buy any of the Lola's Apothecary essential oils used in your massage from the spa, which is an added bonus. I would massively recommend this spa for a spa day and even for a weekend away before you get married (especially if you're getting hitched at the hotel), because it really does completely destress you utterly and totally. You even get to keep the flip flops!

I was the photographer at Katie & Elliott's wedding yesterday and just wanted to say how well organised it was. All the staff were lovely and really helpful, practically Jen who was amazing, Thank you.

Hotel is quite separate from the spa. The spa was wonderful. Worth the money. Hotel not so great, no access wins with this one and the rooms. Receptionist was grumpy and not welcoming set the tone. Food was ok. Scallop soup should have been renamed pepper accident soup. The rest was ok. The do do a good breakfast and the staff in the dining room were thoughtful and kind. … So not all bad. The room was clean and pleasant once you traveled up two flights of stairs, along a corridor, up some more stairs, along the corridor, then down more stairs and along the corridor. Not for the faint hearted this one.

Absolutely amazing place, had my wedding reception here last year and can honestly say it was brilliant nothing was too much trouble the staff were amazing. Recently had a spa day here that was great, friendly welcoming staff excellent food, brilliant facilities and excellent treatments will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Fantastic spa day food was fabulous and the amenities are amazing. The staff are friendly. Everything is clean and tidy. The place is very relaxing with indoor and outdoor facilities.

We had the spa day and overnight package, it was truly wonderful and worth every penny. I can only describe it as a hidden gem, set back amongst the green and leafy trees, a beautiful building with a spotless spa. Perfect for couples. The food, which was all included with our package, was divine. We couldn’t have asked for more, luxury at its finest. We also had a lovely waitress too, but unfortunately didn’t get her name but remember she came second in their cocktail making competition, she too had fabulous customer service — making our experience nothing less than 5 stars :) x.

Very Comfortable bed and nice room but on the road side. Lots of traffic noise. Lovely gardens and gym. Breakfast not the best. Very busy hotel.

Had an overnight spa break for two — the spa itself was lovely, if a little small. However, our suite was dirty when we checked in — so much so that I couldn’t even have a shower after a head massage as our shower was covered in green slime. Yet, no apologies were offered at all! Hotel staff seemed quite inattentive and no one asked how our stay was when checking out. Breakfast was also very basic. On the positive side, our massages were wonderful and the dinner we had was delicious — big plus for the kitchen garden!

My husband and I went for a spa day here. The facilities were beautiful and brand new. Debs was amazing. She went the extra mile to ensure we had a relaxing day. The only downside was the massage treatment by my therapist. It wasn't a traditional massage. She concentrated more on one side than the other, missed out part of my back and neck and then had extra time at the end so focused a bit too much time massaging my collar bone! It was such a shame as it would have been my favorite spa day if not for that. Will definitely go back but I will request a different therapist. My husbands massage was great apparently!

The spa is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and polite. The afternoon lunch was very nice. The treatment which was a all over body massage was brilliant and the relaxation room was excellent. The Hotel itself was good the room and bed was clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was limited would have liked more fresh fruit options and a better quality coffee served. The cooked breakfast was very nice and enjoyed it.

Absolutely wonderful spa! The spa area was very well designed and laid out, everything you could possibly want. We were able to forget about work etc for a few days and be totally spoiled and pampered! The food was excellent, staff couldn't do enough for us and were very courteous. Yes, it may be a bit pricey, but I believe it's worth every penny!

We had our Wedding reception at Ringwood Hall on the 14th April 2018. I cannot thank all the staff enough for making our special day absolutely perfect. From the moment we booked our reception in Oct 2015 the wedding team guided us through all of our planning and made it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and on the day itself we were well looked after, the food was amazing and a special thank you has to go to our Master of Ceremonies — John. He made sure everything ran smoothly and that we enjoyed the whole day without having to think about anything. He was friendly but very professional and our guests thought he was great. The extra special touches are what made our day even more memorable and the tray of food which is taken to the bridal suite for the bride and groom at the end of a long and busy day was extremely welcome and finished it off perfectly. We would highly recommend Ringwood Hall to anyone.

Very Good stay. There is a spa nearby which is great for a quick visit to the pool or gym. Wi-Fi was available across the whole of the hotel. Staff very polite and professional. Beautiful Gardens and Estate.

We had our daughters wedding here on the 6th of April (Jemima and Chris Self) I have to say everything was amazing. I'd like to give a big thank you to all the staff especially John for making the whole weekend so special. The service was excellent and the food beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble for anybody and it made it all a wonderful experience. Thank you.

What an amazing wedding venue! We got held our wedding reception at Ringwood Hall yesterday and had such a fantastic day. From start to finish the team were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The service was the perfect balance of professional but down to earth. The package prices were so reasonable for the service they provide. Kelsey served the bridemaids in the restaurant to night before and it was lovely to see her the next day, she such a lovely girl and so good at her job. The wedding team were brilliant all the way through but a special mention has to go to John our master of ceremonies. He was just wonderful, he mingled with the guests, played with the children and all the while making sure we were happy. A 5 star service and with no doubt in our mind we'd book again!

Attended a wedding event here and had a most enjoyable time. The venue is very well located and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Food and drink were both good and it offered a variety of areas to accommodate people's preferences when it comes to the evening do.

Traditional hotel in mansion house, set in beautiful gardens. I always stay for work, but the hotel is understandably popular as a wedding venue etc, too. Rooms are very varied but are generally a generous size, with traditional — but fresh and not dated — decor. Food is good, though I often struggle with dinner options on the very meat centric menu. Blankets on beds! (As I said, it's traditional and classic on English country house style. ) Also 'skirts' on the dining room chairs.

We got married here 5 years ago, and came back for an anniversary afternoon tea. It looks like a lot of work has been done to the place, everything looked brand new, and some work was ongoing. Staff were very friendly and helpful, I was breastfeeding, and they brought me water and tried to help me get comfortable. The afternoon tea itself was lovely, loads of really nice sandwiches and a selection of cakes. The only downside was that the cakes were obviously not freshly made, probably not made on site. But they were still delicious!

The George Michael tribute was great. Good atmosphere and nice food. Mr Ferguson the events coordinator shows you his enthusiasm and is lovely to be around for the evening.

Attended for a wedding. The venue was pretty and well suited. The staff were extremely professional from start to finish and made the day even better. Bed was comfy and breakfast was great too.

This is no insult to the hotel, it is a beautiful and clean hotel. This was my first overnight visit to Ringwood Hall. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You couldn't ask for more. I stayed in room 222 on Dec 3rd. Around 3am a nearby guest started shouting very loud and slamming doors. This went on until 7am. Didn't expect this behavior in such a pleasant and beautiful hotel. I had a 1 year old with me, who he kept waking up also. In hindsight I should have rang reception to report this but I didn't want to cause any further disturbance to the toddler I was looking after. I don't know if anyone staying nearby me may have witnessed this. It was very disturbing and scary. I hope the poor woman that was in the room with him is ok.

Lovely hotel, great place for a private function. We were there for a wedding reception and really enjoyed it. The room was also a very good size and had all that you would need.

Yesterday my friend and I enjoyed several treatments at the spa. The service provided was excellent. The staff are professional and friendly, providing expert treatments. They create an environment really conducive to relaxation and pampering. Nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed a very positive experience. We will be returning for sure. Went to a wedding in the marquee. Venue and food were great. The only fault I would point out is regarding the toilet facilities for the marquee. They were outside the marquee, down a little path and it was cold, wet and windy getting to them. Also they are in a portacabin so there are several steps up to them. I was fine, but my mum uses a mobility scooter as she can't walk well. Even if she could have got to the toilet area by scooter, she couldn't have got up the steps. She kept having to go back to the room to use the loo.

Excellent hotel, massive gardens which are largely unexplored but the bits you can see were good. Food was good and typically overpriced like any hotel but at least it was decent quality and well presented. Buffet breakfast was par for course with excellent choice and good quality. Room was clean tidy and well presented as it should be. Would have no hesitation in returning if occasion arises.

We had our wedding at Ringwood hall with the marquee on 07/10/17 and it was honestly the best day of my life. What a beautiful venue! We had a member off staff called Jen who assisted with the wedding all day who was fantstic. She helped calm everybodys nerves and I cannot thank Jen enough for all of her efforts. Ringwood hall is a stunning venue with fantastic staff willing to go the extra mile to make the day as memorable as possible. Would highly recommend the marquee package to anyone looking for a wonderful wedding. Food was perfect and all guests spoke very highly of the presentation of the venue! Thank you for hosting our wedding!

Went for a friend's wedding reception in the garden marque. Great space, beautiful place and the toilets were nice and clean. Suitable for a small to mid reception or open party. It was at night so didn't see the outside as much but the marque was great.

I was attending a wedding and then staying overnight. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the bath towels were very luxurious. An excellent buffet breakfast in the morning as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the wedding event although the dessert fudge, wine and champagne was a little below par, although this could be specific to the wedding package.

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. The spa was wonderful although the hot tub wasn't working. The food was very nice and priced well too. The breakfast offered everything you'd expect and tasted good. The staff are amazing. They truly make this place as they are courteous, attentive and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

I attended a wedding meal and nighttime party. The 3 courses were all outstanding and the buffet and chocolate fountain were of the same standard … excellent. Excellent manager/master of ceremonies.

More stunning than ever! What an amazing venue. The marquee is really lovely with fantastic panoramic views. The icing on the cake for us was Jen! The most hospitable host\mc you could hope for. Nothing is too much trouble, a lovely lady!

I attended Ringwood Hall Hotel as part of a hen party for the 'Sound of Murder' murder mystery event. My first impression was what beautiful surroundings, closely followed by the lovely welcome we received from the staff. We were immediately made to feel relaxed and welcome and this continued throughout the evening. Even though it was really quite busy with several functions and regular guests nothing was too much trouble. The bar service was excellent and very reasonably priced and the food was absolutely out of this world — everything perfectly prepared and piping hot. The function room itself was absolutely beautiful and the tables were set to the highest standard. The rest room facilities were very clean and well stocked and never over crowded despite the amount of guests. I cannot praise the evening highly enough and it was all made possible by the amazing people who work here. I would absolutely recommend a visit to every one I know.

From my first phone I knew I had chosen the right place. I was arranging a spa day for my daughter, family friends and bridesmaids so I wanted a relaxed special day. Kat listened to my requests, and ensured every step was planned. She was so efficient and so friendly. She even contacted me again the week before suggesting that as there were 2 wedding functions that day it might be better to choose our lunches to avoid delays from the kitchen. As any one who has planned a day for others will know you always feel nervous as the day arrives with fingers crossed everything will go to plan. BUT I knew our day would be fantastic Kat had filled me with confidence and it was BRILLIANT thank you to everyone in the spa and a massive thank you to Kat.

Beautiful surroundings, polite and friendly staff, my friend had a great wedding day. The price for a Guinness did make my eyes water however.

We booked our wedding in the Marquee and it looked stunning. Ringwood hall have exceeded our expectations from wedding planning to the outcome on the day. Thank you to all of your amazing team for giving us the most perfect wedding day we could ever have dreamt of.

Ringwood Hall hotel situated in Chesterfield near Ringwood lake which is a nice serine short walk. The rooms are kept in pristine and welcoming homely condition and the service is warm, helpful and friendly.

Very nice place, a bit expensive for me but very nice none the less. Staff were lovely and the setting was brilliant.

Get a room with a bath! well worth the extra £50 over two nights, great hotel in a great location.

I went to a wedding reception, this was my 2nd visit. The staff are always polite, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfy.

Beautiful building, nice interior and rooms. Both myself and a colleague in a different room had terrible nights sleep because of very old mattresses. Complained in the morning to reception who said they would be changed. A shame because it is a nice hotel, but if they can't get their number one priority right, i. E. Provide a comfortable place to sleep, then it's not really to be recommended.

There's a bus stop right by the hotel so you can get there by bus. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the service is outstanding — in fact I've never seen so many members of stuff, at breakfast for example there were so many waiters and waitresses everybody was served straight away. And don't forget your swimwear as there's a pool there too!

Very friendly staff, excellent food and with an added murder mystery night made our stay all the more enjoyable, on a surprise anniversary trip for my wife. The breakfast is 5 star. Thank you.

Very nice hotel with a good breakfast (cooked, cereal, etc). No air conditioning in the garden rooms so can be hot in Summer. Polite and helpful staff. Water always hot, good-sized rooms, comfortable bed, ironing facilities in room, tea/coffee in room, large TV with may stations in room, free Wifi, fitness suite, set back from the main road. This hotel caters for wedding celebrations so it can get noisy in the evenings/nights. Advice: stay in one of the garden rooms. Quality of sleep: 70% (I am a light sleeper) Comfort: 70% (in the Summer, no air con) Location: 90% Facilities: 90% Food: 90% Staff: 90% Overall: 85% Afterthought: I spent nine weeks in Chesterfield, on contract, and stayed in 5 local hotels. This hotel was my favourite.

Following a recommendation we visited this hotel for dinner, no brown rolls only white having just paid £10 for two Bells we expected better, then the little butter dished turned up, we were looking at a bill for £30 plus a head, did I say butter it was cheap margarine, I was not a happy teddy bear, as for the food it was over priced and second rate in quality, we did express our concern to the manageress and was told my comments would be passed on to the management. Clive.

Nice hotel good value for money.

I have just stayed at the Ringwood Hotel for a black tie function and, reading the previous reviews, cannot believe I have stayed in the same place. I can only think that much has changed in recent months. It was excellent value. The function itself was very well planned with good food and first-rate, attentive service. The choice of music in the disco may have lacked a little but how often do I think that?! Our room was very nice indeed — new bathroom fittings including new shower, very large flat-screen TV, very comfortable bed with silky soft sheets and all the other refinements one would expect in a quality hotel including copious amounts of tea and coffee. The breakfast/dining room was a very comfortable environment and breakfast itself was very enjoyable, with a wide choice of food and drink. But what really struck me was the exemplary attitude of the staff — always extremely courteous and helpful, including staff who were clearly just about to start work or who were on the point of leaving. I made a point of commenting as I left that it was so refreshing to see such well-trained staff and, as someone who has spent over 35 years involved in education and training, I do have sense of such things! I would go there again very happily — in fact we are already considering what our next excuse might be to visit.
