I ended up here in a professional capacity on a Saturday evening to attend to a wedding guest. I was very impressed with the parts I saw. It was decorated nicely and the staff very helpful. Nice location with good views of the Peak.

Very nice room, everything was clean and neat. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely in the morning and parking was ample. Perfect stay for a wedding reception.

Came here to film a wedding. Food is always great, staff are very helpful. Would recommend it to anyone. Nice seeing charging points for electric cars too.

Beautiful pub out in the countryside. Definitely somewhere you'd want to go for a special day/night. Lovely ambiance and if it wasn't for the torrential rain when I went, there is a lovely beer garden to enjoy.

Very nice well-appointed large rooms. Scenic location.

Food and service always excellent. Love coming here for a nice meal and quiet atmosphere.

My step daughter had her wedding at peak edge hotel on thursday 26th of April it was fantastic the venue the food the hotel it's self is lovely friendly staff me and my husband stayed in room 107 beautiful room really enjoyed our stay would stay there again use like to thank everyone for there hard work from Mr mrs Harrison x.

It was a beautiful place. Great welcoming staff, and excellent restaurant, comfortable and well decorated rooms… For the competitive price we paid it was absolutely perfect.

Exceptional, made me feel like a V. VIP, Love the warm welcome and impressed with the staff and facilities. I have not been looked after so well in any other hotel, since I became disabled. Will be returning when I have need of a de-stress. Thank you so much. Kay Pearce. X.

Very clean and spacious rooms, Very friendly staff, the attached restaurant, which unfortunately we didn't get to try except for breakfast looked really nice and cosy, the menu did look extremely nice, we will certainly come back.

Sunday lunch has seldom been as relaxed and enjoyable! The staff cheery polite and very accommodating The bar well stocked and The food. Wow. From the good selection of starters well presented and delicious to Roast beef served pink soft and delicious not to mention the amazing creamy cabbage and glazed carrots mmm. If there was a disappointment it would be the rhubarb crumble which was not crumbly however the other elements on the plate more than made up for it. All in all wonderful food in a wonderful setting. We booked Christmas lunch at the Peak Edge Red Lion having been impressed at friends wedding earlier in the summer. The food was good and being our first Christmas lunch out as a family, we presumed we were sure to get a good experience for £90 a head — we couldn't have been more wrong… Upon arrival, we were not offered the glass of fizz as promised and having not asked, I don't think we would have received it. We were shown to our table which was nice and after a reasonable wait, the Canapés and bread were brought over, immediately followed by our starters 30 seconds later. I explained to the waiter that we had not had time to eat them but he insisted on putting the starters on the table — there simply wasn't room for them and we had to rearrange and remove items from the table! After stating that the hot starters would get cold, the waiters reply was 'what do you want me to do about it, just eat your starter first'. Not the attitude I would expect! We were then presented with our mains which both looked and tasted okay, but nothing special. We asked our server for some cranberry sauce but after 10 mins, nothing had arrived. We asked another server passing our table but after another 10 minutes, still nothing. By this point we had almost finished so gave up. When they came to collect the plates, we explained to yet another server that we had asked twice for cranberry sauce and didn't receive anything. She went to look into it… and never returned!

I visited Peak Edge while waiting for my Daughter to arrive for her prom. My Husband and I ordered drinks at the bar and a paket if crisps each from a very polite and friendly member of staff. He had to change the barrel before serving my Husband his drink and he was very apologetic. The bar area has a lovel relaxed feel and my Husband and I found a nice secluded spot in two very comfortable chairs. The drinks were very nice as were the crisps. My Daughter saud her prom was amazing and that it was the best night of her life. Thank you Peak Edge Hotel.

Really nice venue, with beautiful surroundings. Sometimes overlook general guests when weddings are on due to how busy things are. Waited 20mins for two cocktails we had ordered and they didn't have egg white in when they turned up.

Brilliant hotel. Wonderful food. Excellent service. What more could you want?

Fantastic hotel food amazing and staff are great, cannot fault this hotel this was our 3 visit it gets better every time we go. It's a bit out of the way but we go into bakewell first and have a couple of drinks and a wonder round then up to the peak edge, carnt wait to go back.

We enjoyed our fabulous wedding reception here last Friday 13th June, and are so glad we chose this lovely venue! Both ourselves and guests included cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks to the professionalism and friendliness of our wedding planner Carly and the rest of the staff who assisted on the day, ourselves and everyone else were made to feel extremely relaxed and special. It was a day we will never forget. Thank you.
