Had two nights staying at the castle… staff were friendly but most of all our room in the roof was quaint very quiet and had all the facilities we required for our short break. Parking was a bit tight when we arrived but it was a Sunday and ample parking after that… a lovely stay and would recommend.

Wonder little hotel, perfect location for hiking, it's right next to the winnats pass and mam tor, all walking distance from there. The hot water was a little fiddly but we got it working in the end. Restaurant closed too early, we were told they are open until 10pm but when we came at ten past nine, they said the kitchen was closed, so we had to go to the next village to get food, that was annoying. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed fillet steak and chips for £9.50. Don't get better value than that! Excellent service, friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Location was quiet and close to a few good walks. The room was great very spacious with high ceilings. Pub itself is amazing, large selection of ales/gins and the food was lovely.

Stayed 2 days, when we arrived they had upgraded us for free. Lovely people owners/managers were dead interestin amd friendly, felt more than welcome. Other staff were great too. Had a really great time. Cosy room, dead comfy bed and clean. Food was AMAZING and loads of beers to sample. Had the best time!. Castleton is so cute particularly with all the xmas lights.

Very nice place and friendly service. Ground floor rooms are noisy with upstairs guests walking around. Sounds very loud below. Battled to sleep every night but the town itself made it worth it. It's what you get with an old building so as long as you are prepared it can still be enjoyed.

Great base for hikers and ramblers. Loads of history right on the doorstep. The food is fairly decent and also try the ales.

The staff in The Castle In Castleton where the lodge was located were very friendly and very helpful they couldn't do enough for you! Due to. It being quiet we were given an upgraded bigger room, the room was homely, cosy well appointed the bed was comfy and warm, the castle is literally a minute from the centre of Castleton! It was quiet and peaceful day and night and the 2 nights we stayed were relaxing and refreshing!

Hotel is lovely and in good location. Rooms very shabby and really overpriced for facilities.

Lovely rooms, brilliant breakfast. Didn't have dinner, but I bet it's be great if breakfast was anything to go by. For B&B customers, the continental was free, and a full English was only £6.95.

Lovely pub, rooms have all you need, beautiful setting.

We spent one night at The Inkeepers Lodge in Castleton after another hotel overbooked and we had to find alternative acommodation and were very plesantly surprised, they only had the small double room left but it was plenty big enough for us and really well decorated and looked after. The staff were super pleasant and nice and it felt so cosy and like a nice retreat, Room 17 was tucked away but was really nice and felt like a little hidden treasure. Would of happily stayed a few more days! Will be going back again, great price and great location. 5 Star from me. Only smallest smallest nag was the sink was too small to properly fill the kettle and the shower was a little low for me as it was a walk in shower for disabled guests but that's understandable.

Suited us for the night while we visited Castleton and surrounding areas.

Lovely atmosphere, great staff, good food and quirky room (s) Definitely worth the visit/stay.

The pub and hotel are cute, but the internet speed is oppressively slow. I can't stress enough how slow it is. The food is OK but a bit same same when compared to all the other bars/pubs/hotels in town. The rooms above the bar are loud until closing time, which really sucks if you want to relax and get an early night.
