Fantastic place with lovely dog loving staff. Good food, a dam busting breakfast, relaxing atmosphere and very very clean. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly and we had a delicious lunch. Nice warm fire too! Thank you for a lovely experience.

Went for a lovely walk around ladybower then came back to this lovely pub, food was just beautiful and the service was with a big smile, highly recommended.

Wow what can I say! After a very cold day in the peaks this place was absolutely perfect. The bartender Richard was very polite and helpful with food choices. My boyfriend had the Dam Burger and chips and I had the roast dinner which was perfect, thanks to the chef. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming. I see this place has accommodation so we will definitely be back to book here as everything was so lovely. Thank you so much Claire and Nikos (:

Beef roast dinner was delicious. Great pint of Guinness. The staff are all really friendly, a nice cosy pub with fire. Dogs welcome.

Came across this pub halfway round my walk today and stopped for lunch and a glass of wine. Delicious, really enjoyed it.
Was very impressed to hear the bar man tell a couple of Bikers the pint of beer they'd chosen would put them over the drink drive limit… well done that man…
the Bikers had a pint of something a little less potent hahaha.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Fresh veg and a lovely setting. The staff were very friendly too.

It was a lovely atmosphere and the food was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We sat on the patio and it was so relaxing just watching the world go by.

Lovely pub, very attentive and polite staff didn't rush us, only called in for a drink but ended up ordering food which was well presented and delicious, would definitely recommend.

Beautiful country pub with lovely rooms the staff are very friendly and the food portions are huge, if you go there then try the steak and kidney pie.

We had our son’s 1st birthday party here the other week and the whole experience was fantastic. There was nothing more I could ask for. We regularly go to the pub and the staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming. Our family love going. It’s disabled friendly as well which is really important to us. The food is always good. If you haven’t been you are missing a treat and recommend you get yourself over!

Excellent food to refuel you after a brisk walk. Can’t believe they didn’t serve bread sauce with their turkey roast. The waitress didn’t even know what it was.

Can get busy during peak times but with loads of outside seating and 4 indoor seating areas this pub can sometimes become full due to it's popularity, great food, friendly staff and cask ales. Dogs are also welcome. You can reserve tables if required. The hotel is clean and rooms are spacious and you won't find and uht milk in the morning. Fresh milk in a flask is provided. Nice touch. We just love this place.

A good place for the cost. Staff helpful. Some need to try a smile though in a morning, but overall fine.

My wife and I rode up for a one night overnight stay. Very comfortable room. Clean. Food good. Restaurant seemed a little disorganised in the evening. After a wait and no sign of any staff, we eventually ordered from the bar, then a member of staff came to the table asking what we wanted. Only a minor gripe though. Don't get caught out by the 2.30pm end of food service. We saw many being turned away because of this. Good beer. Great location right next to the dam and reservoir. Another pub just a 20 minute walk away. Big bonus for me: I was able to park my bike in a secure garage overnight. I would definitely stay here again to explore Derbyshire.

Only went for a drink. Queued at the bar. No seats outside. Nice end to a walk. Never ate. Nicely presented externally. Not far from the main car park if you are walking ladybower or win hill. Nice staff. Friendly atmosphere. Prepare to battle at the bar or for a seat outside in nice weather!

Called in for a pint after a walk around lady bower res. Good service and a fantastic pint. Would highly recommend a visit we will be back again.

Fantastic time at the Yorkshire bridge inn with our friends and the dogs, the staff friendly and polite, food excellent, the rooms great very spacious lovely to have the little touches for your dogs bowls and biscuit when you arrive. Lovely to chill in the orangery with the dogs having breakfast. Beautiful area for walking we will definitely be returning.

Hit or miss depending on the time of the visit. A lovely pub with a reasonable food menu and a great location with some limited parking space. Only issues are the service and the menu that seems to get less varied with every revision (every couple of months, it seems). When it's busy the staff can be sullen, inattentive and bring the wrong orders. Manager has been seen arguing with punters before now (not good for atmosphere, regardless of reason). When things are less busy and well staffed the place is great, easily deserving of 4 stars. Best advice is visit when its less likely to be busy for the best experience.

Never been so pleased to see a pub so much in my life. We walked up to the top of Bamford Edge… the wrong way might I add which resulted in crawling on our hands and knees up a mountain and providing full entertainment to those already at the top eating their sophisticated picnics. The pub was busy outside but managed to find a seat :) we had 1 drink each and decided to have tea whilst we were there. The bbq burger and skinny fries were absolutely beautiful! Thanks for saving our feet! We will return.

These guys were brilliant yesterday. Kept our table even though it took us twice as long to walk to them from the station than we actually thought. We had beautiful food and our dog was able to sit under our table. They even provided a treat for the dog! Seriously recommend this place — superb!

We arrived early and able to get into our room straight away which was great, lovely little room, (12) handy to have a door leading to outside area, room was clean and lots of nice little touches, although very cheap toilet roll. Plenty of tea and coffee biscuits etc. Great location for walking.
Atmosphere in bar/snug area was lovely and cosy. Staff friendly and helpful. We ate from the evening menu. Rump steak was nice, disappointed by cheese n biscuits. Wine a little expensive but nice. Hubby enjoyed the selection of local beers.
Breakfast… ummm I've had much better… plate quite greasy bacon lovely but sausage was awful, tomato looked like it was cooked the week before, the award winning black pudding over cooked, egg nice. I rated this place a 3 but with few tweeks could easily be more. Prob would not return due to breakfast. Sort out your sausage!
