Lovely rooms, fabulous location, friendly owners and staff, great breakfast. Welcome drink on arrival and knowledge of local restaurants and attractions. Would recommend the Richmond Suite, four poster bed, real fire and free free standing very romantic with great views, but all rooms fantastic.

We stayed in the Richmond suite 😍 wow it was beautiful, great views too, breakfast was quality food lovely. Situated right near town square so not far to walk to shops, bars etc. Views are stunning where ever you looked, very hilly but worth a walk around. Lovely place to stay.

Lucy and her team were marvellous, nothing was too much. Breakfast was delicious, served by the lovely Carol. We had the Richmond Suite which was super. The 4 poster bed was amazingly comfy. We had a real fire ready to light and enjoyed a relaxing cosy evening with our honour bar prosecco. A great place to stay in the heart of Richmond.

Stayed here for one night… wish we'd booked more… beautiful building and decor, stunning furniture, friendly staff and the breakfast well a 10/10 from us, we will def be returning, thank you for a lovely stay.

Stayed for 2 lovely nights. Faultless. Nothing was too much trouble, rooms were well equipped, breakfast was lovely, very friendly hostess who gave us excellent recommendations of places to eat and then booked them for us. Would have no hesitation going back.

We stayed here for 1 night in July. Had a very friendly welcome with a pot of coffee provided free of charge. Room had everything we might need and was clean. Full English breakfast was lovely. Setting was excellent.

Had a great stay, beautiful room with 4 poster bed, and the biggest bath i've ever seen. I'd go back tomorrow if I could.

It was billed as luxury accommodation but was far from it. No shower, sloping floors, barely a foot between bed and walls. Breakfast was very nice as was the partial refund.

From the welcome on arrival I knew this was going to be a special place to stay. Homely immaculate and beutiful rooms lucy and ian are running an exceptional establishment. Very helpful. Breakfast was hat with local sourced ingredients helped get the day off to a good start. The rooms clean and comfortable to come back to at the end of the day. The little goodnight choc was a pleasant suprise. Highly recommend a stay at this high quality establishment. Thank you.

What a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed our two nights at the Castle House and could not fault the service we recieved. It was very welcoming on arrival with a glass of wine and the chocolates that we got on the door in the evening. The breakfast was amazing and l would recommend this to family and friends. Lovely place with excellent service. Excellent breakfast. Ceilings are low ans floors lopsided, as you would expect, didn't stop me banging my head. Plenty of decent eateries, but didn't enjoy as Alessandro's.

Fantastic place. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful (we stayed in the Richmond suite with an open fire and freestanding bath). Breakfast was great. Will definitely stay again and will be recommending to friends and family. Thanks for our stay.

My husband and I stayed in the Aysgarth Room, which was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was outstanding and our whole stay was lovely. We would definitely recommend this little haven.

We just loved the Richmond Suite! The room was amazing with lots of thoughtful extras like L'Occitane bath/shower goodies and chocolates left on the door handle by the chocolate fairy! The open fire and roll top bath were fabulous! The breakfast menu was varied and hubbies full English, and my scrambled eggs were delicious. The owners were friendly and very helpful, as was the young lady who served our breakfast. A lovely break away at the end of the year — we would definitely recommend The Castle House for anyone visiting Richmond!

Great B&B with excellent food and hospitality. Highly recommend and will stay here again if in the area.

The B&B is in a great location right on the market square and the old building is full of character with sloping ceilings and floors. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was the only disappointment as the bacon was over cooked and leathery, the black pudding was over cooked and dry and tough. The plate was so hot that I guess that it was kept under a heat lamp while other items were cooked which is why the breakfast turned out as it did.

Perfect guest house. Clean, well kept and luxury is a good description for this hotel. Great place to stay.

Had a lovely time in Richmond for my partners birthday. We stayed in the Richmond suite the room was lovely and clean couldnt fault anything red hot water bath and en suite shower and the fire all ready to light was amazing. We had a lovely personal welcome from lucy which made us feel really welcome. We both had a full english breakfast which was cooked beautifully and tasted nice too. We will definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone.

My wife & I had an absolutely wonderful weekend exploring Richmond and the surrounding area. This B&B is a delight, right next to the castle itself, with commanding views of the surrounding countryside. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, whilst little touches like drinks on arrival and chocolates left on the door handle in the evenings made our stay that extra bit special. Breakfast was great, made with locally supplied ingredients, and parking was no problem. Lucy & Ian were excellent hosts, and I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

The Castle House offers a wonderful welcome, the room we stayed in "The Richmond Suite" was a delight — a cosy 4 poster bed in a tastefully decorated suite complete with a roll top bath. Lucy and Ian were excellent hosts and very accommodating. The breakfast on offer was varied but we decided on a Full English — delicious! We wouldn't stay anywhere else in this beautiful little town.

Once found. Never forgotten. The welcome was warm with a complimentary drink, chat with our host. The building is fantastically quirky being so old. Close to all town centre amenities and shops. Soo comfortable! A great find.
