The king suite was huge with a added bonus of a whirlpool bath and own private entrance… the breakfast was excellent-fantastic stay and we'll definitely be back.

Absolutely lovely hotel, our courtyard room was really private and totally gorgeous! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and make a fantastic cooked breakfast! It's set in a great location too — only a 5 minute walk into Windermere Town… I would highly recommend.

Bad experience ever. Staff are lazy, non hygiene when we complained about that, staff were started giving excuses. House keeping didn't clean our room lol. Room windows are full of bees and lamp and walls are full of spider web. We didn't enjoy the Outside view from window because of bees. Funny thing when we were starving at night, we ordered a food and staff told us that we are not allowed to eat inside. There is no one in guesthouse after 9pm, if you're hungry you have to go out and eat outside.

Would recommend this B &B. The standard is excellent and the breakfast is perfect. The staff are a great asset to the owners. It is also in a good area for eating out, and witin walking distance of the lake. Would certainly stay here again.

We’ve just returned from a 3 night stay. What a fabulous place.
We have stayed here before in a standard room around 5 years ago. This time we had a 4 poster room. It was lovely, with a separate entrance around the back of the hotel. It felt like our own little house.
The breakfast is perfect! Nothing is too much to ask.
The staff are also perfect! Polite, chatty, friendly, professional…
The Woodlands is a great hotel, we look forward to being able to come back!

Lovely place, staff so very helpful. Went for my birthday and couldn't have enjoyed the weekend more if I tried… got a birthday card and bottle of wine when I got back to the room after our night out wishing me a happy birthday from the Woodlands, I'd definitely go back xx.

This is a amazing guest house & it really is 5star. The staff are fabulous, made myself & my husband very welcome, very friendly & nothing is too much trouble, the accommodation & breakfast superb, highly recommend woodlands you won't be disappointed, also situated in a ideal area of the lake district.

Very clean and well presented rooms, with fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. Great location just outside Bowness village, 10min easy walk.

Located at 15 min walk for the main village, this little lovely hotel offer a comfortable stay. Room are nice and clean, common rooms are nicely decorated, staff it’s very nice and keen to support. Between them, Alessandro was absolutely great and went the extra mile to make us feeling comfortable. Recommended.

Fabulous B&B — friendly staff, extensive and delicious breakfast, lovely rooms and all in a perfect location — just a short walk from Windermere and Bowness and good road links to get all around the lakes.
