Fantastic food and great staff
It’s not been a good year but we have still had some great times.

Four good real ales great food and a lovely friendly staff great experience.

Stayed in the town for a couple of days came here for a drink on arrival. Very friendly staff we liked it so much we booked for food the next day. The gentleman behind the bar remembered us despite only having bee in once.

Just a great cheap friendly place to stay. Nice wines and lots of gins. Would stay again for defo.

Friendly, relaxed and safe atmosphere. Great gin cocktails.

Was lovely to get in from the heat — social distance drink lovely staff. Would definitely go back again and again.

100%Brill place to stay, Staff at the westmorland inn were fantastic, price value (etc food & drink's, room) amazing you could not go wrong when booking your stay at the lake's it's all you need, shop's near by small walk to windermere lake. What more could you ask for 100% were coming back.

Kaydi was excellent polite very friendly fun and helpful gd food nice relaxed atmosphere definitely come back.

Very friendly staff. Just had a couple of pints while waiting for an Indian Takeaway. Asked the lady behind the bar if dog friendly. It is, so we will take our GSD in during our weeks holiday.

Carvery lunch was very nice — beef cooked well and plenty of if.
Nice place which is surprisingly spacious downstairs with the mezzanine and dining room.
Beer and wine was also spot on.
One of the best carvery Sunday lunches we have had and really good value.
I will return.

I recommend everything, staff are brilliant, laid back, which I really like, made comfortable straight away, foods great, wine even better, anticipated a big bill, didn't happen, excellent VFM, one of the staff from Bellshill, next toon to mine, oh and try the pie as a main, bang on, chef would never be out of work in Wigan.

Hidden gem. Called in for a bite to eat and were welcomed downstairs to the restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous place and the staff were amazing. Jordan was superb and could not have been more attentive or helpful.
The food selection was perfect, something for everyone and fantastic value. Drinks choice very good too.
The decoration is fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thank you all.

Great wee Hotel on main road. Very friendly staff who were helpful too. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable there is some traffic noise be ause of where it is but I'm used to that. Good powerful shower and all the things you need in room. Breakfast was yummy and very ample. Would recommend:-)

Turned up as a group of 7 including baby chair and was luckily seated straight away in the restaurant without a booking. Then proceed to be served by Tarl who was a superb waiter. Polite, informative and an energised character who made us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was superb I had the steak and vegetable pie and it was of excellent quality. Deffinetly cooked in house and using high quality steak that was very tender. Best pie I have had in ages. In fact all of our food was great and nothing was wrong with the order or quality of what was served. As the restaurant filled up, our waiter Tarl was running around on his own covering all tables and he was spectacular, he spoke to everyone and took his time to make them relaxed, yet he kept no one waiting. Best service I have had or seen in years in the UK he is a real credit to the restaurant. Even my Japanese guests were amazed at his customer service. Overall a great place with superb quality food and outstanding customer service.

Just been here for our evening meal. The food ch exceptional and the food when it arrived was relly lovely. We all had diffenent foods, liver and oinions with mash, pork and mushroom pie mash selection of veg, and scampi and chips with veg. Well worth the 5 star I've give the Westmoreland. Will definitely be back again thank you.

We did not stay here but had breakfast and dinner in here. All the staff are sop friendly and welcoming. We had dinner in here 2 days in a row as the food was amazing. Next time I hope to stay here. Just 1 work for the food and hoist… A MAY ZING.

For the price it was more than adequate. The rooms are clean and tidy but a little basic and quite small. The bar area is nicely decorated and the breakfast was lovely. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Really lovely place, do a nice range of beers and drinks and a really good standard of good old fashioned pub food… looks like a nice Sunday carvery too (which I haven't personally tried). Relaxed atmosphere, lovely and cosy in winter!

Great little find! Called in for a bit of lunch & the staff member who served us was so lovely, very friendly & even gave me his own decaf coffee free of charge (sorry I didn't get his name) but he is definatly a great asset to this pub & a lot of people could learn from his customer service skills. Food was nice & was on the 2 for £12 menu so was brilliant value for money. Lovely pub & we will definatly be back when we're next in Bowness. Thank you.

Best scampi I have ever had, advise booking a table in advance. My partner and I were lucky and managed to nab the last table, however they were fully booked after that. Highly recommended this place though, food and service were fantastic.

A nice and bright pub with a good choice of local ales. Staff were really friendly and happy to find the right drink for you.

I decided to take my boyfriend back to the lakes where we shared our first date and I booked us into The Westmorland Inn for 2 nights, we didn't see the staff very often but that was not fault of theirs we arrived late the first night and then was out all day the next. From the brief encounter we had it showed us how helpful friendly and polite they were and gave a great impression that no request would be to much for them. I had a few surprises lined up and Luke the manager and his staff helped me arrange and sort everything I needed for it all, they were a great help. The room was perfect for our needs and beautifully decorated. The hotel was a short walk though the main part of the village away from the lake Windermere which made for some interesting window shopping on the way. As the hotel management state there is no parking but again this is due to no fault of their own, but the hotel is not even 50 meters away from a perfect car park. £15 for 3 days couldn't have asked for better. So all in all a perfect place to visit for a getaway to the lakes. Thank you from Darren and Ryan, Room 1 from the 13th to the 15th of September 2017.

Restaurant down stairs but just used the pub to eat as the atmosphere was so good.

We had a relaxing overnight stay at the Westmoreland Inn. Good range of ales, good food, welcoming and helpful staff, ideal location for walking to shops, and the cinema (park your car here).

Lovely visit here for some lunch and a drink. Excellent selection of beers and (if you like it) Gin. The food was very nice. Can especially recommend the homemade pies. Great atmosphere and friendly barman.

What a superb welcome, smiles and friendly staff. Room was comfortable and very clean. Lovely to see Kendal cake biscuits and hot chocolate on the coffee and tea tray in room, do get fed up with custard creams! Nothing to much trouble for staff, needed paper and pens, all provided a smile. Food great value for the area and atmosphere is welcoming and cheerful. Can highly recommend the establishment.

Relaxed and friendly bar at the edge of Bowness On Windermere village. Great value food and the best Gin & Tonic anywhere around with real Juniper Berries!

Brilliant place really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to anyone.
