Just got back from a long weekend and absolutely loved it! We stayed in a beautiful caravan! The most modern we’ve ever stayed in, (C9) had an amazing sea view! The beach is also beautiful with spectacular views! Only thing missing was an on site shop for basics like bread and milk! But apart from that we couldn’t fault it! Would definitely stay again!

Seacote dog friendly lots of lovely memories from there lovely people friendly.

Because of the human effluent that appeared under my daughter's tent and the very rude Manager that couldn't care less. Two maintenance staff witnessed it. Holiday ruined any possibly tent too. Customer Services appalling!

Had to leave 2 days early after a horrific smell coming up through the tent. The photo shows what was underneath and it smelt like human waste. The lady on reception was lovely but the manager basically told us there was no chance even though it had been witnessed by 2 members of his maintenance team that also agreed it smelt just like human waste! The manager tried to say it was because it had been raining! We have camped twice a year for years and in worse weather than we had and never ever have we experienced the rain smelling of human waste! We had an upset child that lost out on holiday and not even an offer of a refund for the 2 days of our holiday that we missed! Disgusting customer service and would never ever recommend for campers wanting electric hook up. We don’t yet know if we can use the tent again. Spent 3 hours scrubbing it before we could even put it in the car and it still smells horrendously.

Highly recommended. Went with out 2 GSD FOR 2 nights EVERYONE is extremely friendly. PARK is well organised and near plenty to do if you wanted. Caravans are fantastic.

We arrived Monday and it was pouring and so windy but then we have had a great few days, dogs love it, fab walks, never get bored of the view from our caravan on row A. Beach Cafe lovely. Staff great and food.
Seacote hotel not so much, we ate their on Tuesday night. Staff a bit rude and food was ok but chips were like lumps of lard. Could do with a facelift too.

Went in for birthday lunch, 6 people, food was disgusting! Lasagne had water sauce rather than cheese sauce, gammon not fully cooked and was very chewy, no onion rings with the burgers. Waitress was very nice though!

Enjoyed our stay. Good for stop over or weekend. However they are refurbishing. Great views and reception staff really lovely. Would visit again. Close to beach and lovely walks. An hour outside of the Lakes.

This is a decent hotel if you're looking for budget accommodations. It is literally steps from the beach, and if nothing else, this is a big plus. Also, they have rooms with direct access outside, so if you're travelling with dogs or kids it's very convenient. They have rooms with kitchens, so again, it's good for people on a budget. However, the rooms are very tired. There was wall damage in several places in my room, and the whole place could do with being refurbished. But if they did that, I doubt it would be so inexpensive, so there is a trade off. As this is easily the most adorable beachfront hotel I've ever stayed at, I'll give on room quality, because, who spends time in their room at the beach?

We were stopping at the caravan park across the road and before the long journey home our elderly Parents wanted a breakfast. We rang this establishment at 7.45am and we were told non residents could have breakfast for £8.50 so we walked over after getting 3 children under the age of 5 ready and arrived at 9.10 only to be ignored at reception for 2 minutes before finally being acknowledged to be told breakfast finished at 9am! Explained we had rang this morning and no one mentioned this, not interested in just letting us in anyway and certainly not sorry so walked out in disgust. Thankfully Hartleys Tea Room across the way saved the morning, we didn't know they did breakfast and it was excellent. So if your visiting St Bees don't bother with the Hotel just use the Tea Room, cheaper, better and friendlier staff.

The hotel looks over the sea and is easy walking distance to the beach. Rooms are clean and fairly well presented. Food service is good, staff are friendly.

Very nice hotel clean rooms. The food you buy is good but not always what you would expect. The staff are pleasant and friendly and will help you, but if you are disabled it can be a lot more difficult for you when the lift keeps braking down.

Excellent location right by the sea. Good food and friendly atmosphere. Room's are immaculate what more do you need.

Stayed here for three nights and can't really fault the place, especially for the money (we paid £60 a night for a double room with breakfast) We had a sea view from the room, the en suite bathroom was great, especially the shower, the bed very comfy, and the Wi-Fi great; I was able to stream a movie to my laptop, no problem. We also enjoyed the bar, manned by a nice chatty guy too. It's right on the coast, so perfect for an evening drink outside on a summer's evening.

Enjoyed staying here. Friendly staff and good food.

Lovely food. Badly needs updating. A not very pleasant man served us at the bar and because of that experience I wont be back. Pitty as the food really is excellent.

The hotel is still undergoing some refurbishment but is still a pleasant and affordable place to stay. We took two twin rooms which had been done and they were very pleasant. Simple decor but very clean and with excellent facilities. The bar is a little lacking in character but staff are friendly. Proximity to the excellent beach and coastal path make for a very pleasant experience.

New refurbished rooms are clean. Location of the Hotel is very nice and has a free parking. Breakfast was ok.

Had a lovely time here. Had a standard room, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good, and location fabulous right next to the sea.

Just stayed the weekend with my two children & father. Check in was quick. Caravan location was good, not to far away. The caravan itself was beautiful by far the best I have stayed in! Modern throughout, big living room area, comfy beds, two bathrooms and even down to the little things like tea, coffee, UHT milk pots and biscuits being left for us was a lovely touch. Location of the site is so ideal, not even a 5 minute walk to a big play park which overlooks the sea, a shop/cafe and seacote hotel. Couldn't fault anything. We will be back!

I've not had many good experiences in private owned hotels lately so Seacote Hotel was a pleasant surprise. Modern, clean and comfy. A good size TV, great shower and very comfy bed. I also had a fabulous view of the sea, Wi-Fi was good enough to watch Netflix and staff were very friendly. I will definitely be staying again.

Very good value. Room a little tired in the bathroom but saved by the amazing views from the window. You can hear the sea at night if the tide is in. Breakfast good. Bigger style. Good is good quality in restaurant with good portions. Ask for sea view on booking.

The staff are lovely and helpful. The food was ok. The views are fantastic. The hotel is a little worn but it's clean and tidy and right on the seafront.

The place smelled of urine, and the sausage and mash was very poor but I had a nice walk down the beach.

This is a basic caravan site but it has lovely walks and a lovely beach. There's a great play area for the kids. Hartleys have a lovely cafe and shop you get great icecream and of course there's the Seacote Hotel they do lovely meals and you can get a drink and has Wi-Fi for free. There is plenty of room for tents and mobile caravans motor homes. The train station is only 10 minutes walk into the centre of St. Bees it has several pubs and post office and shop. Whitehaven is only one train stop away.
