Warm, friendly, cosy & a lovely atmosphere in a perfect location.
A GREAT location easy access to Grasmere and lots of natural local attractions on foot. I stayed 3 nights with a Quaker family. The food is just OK they do not understand vegetarian' requirements breakfast was partially cooked the portions were small and it took the staff more than 30 minutes to serve a standard hot english breakfast. Very limited dinner menu and again the food was not well cooked and the portions were very small-not good value. Next time I stay there I will eat out and enjoy the location and the views. There are a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi network was ok after I had power-reset the closest repeater/hub to my room. Reception is open from 08:00 to 20:00 and there is no night-service…
