Great pub, lovely atmosphere.

Not much as it was only a sleep over but well worth it. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and no funny noises besides nature was a bonus.

Absolutely typical village local nowt more required.

Friday quiz night is mint and they sometimes do live bands. Always do stuff for the kids and the outside area is amazing especially in the summer.

First time ordering a Sunday dinner for take out, asked for vegetarian option, meaning no meat and I was impressed that they give me vegetarian gravy as any other place ov ordered from have give me meat gravy… 10/10… will definitely be back.

We booked the Oak Tree Inn for our Anniversary. We were met by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our room. We had been upgraded & as we walked in there was a card, some flowers & Prosecco which was a lovely surprise. The room was clean, tidy & homely. As they don’t serve meals on a Sunday night we were given a suggestion of a nearby place & that didn’t disappoint either. We had a full English breakfast before we left which set us up for the day in Beamish. All in all nothing was too much trouble for Angela and her team & we would definitely stay there again.

Cracking little pub with a good choice of drinks. Rooms are nice too & only £40 a night. Great fried breakfast as well.

Nice friendly pub, good beer, good food and the best bed I have ever slept in.

I stayed in the little upstairs suite in the separate accommodation block. Absolutely loved it. Clean, comfy and relaxing. (Not good for anyone who finds stairs difficult — always check)

Warmest pint of Moretti so can't recommend that you try that and none of the taps have a display head! So quite hard to see what beer they have on tap. Seemed to be a busy little local but don't think I'd be back.

Great place with friendly staff and good service. Has a good varied menu including Tapas burgers and also sunday lunches. Entertainment every second weekend. Located Tantobie between Burnopfield and Stanley, with available accommodation.

Stayed here on Saturday night as we where at a wedding in the area. Well impressed. Rang the landlady before booking for some local info, she was more than helpful gave me loads about the area and her place. Room was large full of space it was a room of two half's as the bedroom was very tradition with a for poster bed and very ornate sofa then the bathroom was ultra modern with wet room lovely tiles taps and heated towel rail. I sell beds and mattress for a living and the mattress was beautiful great nights sleep nice and quite room amazing view out the bedroom window. And last but not least breakfast hot plate hot food cuppa tea tea served at the same time again nice and hot top marks loved it.

Me and my sister and friend stayed for one night. Fantastic stay. We had family room which was all modem and had everything. The locals in the pub was a joy to be with very friendly and especially Angela bar girl Jodie. If there was something short in ur room they will go out of there way to get it for you. The breakfast was good to many thanks Angela, Jodie. Will defo be back. From Bolton.

We stayed in the family room out in the annexe the last couple of nights whilst attending the car show in beamish. Room was like a home from home, very friendly staff, beautiful breakfast and bonus that we could bring dog. Can't fault, would definitely book again when returning down this way X.

Had a great night staying here, room was very vintage and the staff were very helpful. Ideal place to stop off if visiting south causey inn for weddings or parties in Stanley.

I stayed at Oak Tree Inn as I was attending a wedding nearby and it was convenient. The bed was comfy and I had a good sleep.

Drinking options are limited in Tantobie so we were pleased to find that the local is friendly and served good beer. We didn't sample the food but the plates coming out of the kitchen were loaded so would suit a hungry traveller.

Great traditional pub that's gives everyone a warm welcome, gets busy on weekends which brings out a great atmosphere.

A cosy little pub in a tiny village! This is a perfect spot for a night in the countryside, or to stop for a pint. It is quintessentially cute and cosy. The full English breakfast is superb.
