Most definite would recommend this place for food. Lovely setting and delicious home cooked food. Had the swordfish, beautifully presented and delicious.

Lovely quiet location, perfectly situated to visit lakes and dales, spa bath and sauna most welcome after a long walk. Dog friendly, clean and cosy, would definitely recommend ☺️

Had a lovely stay here with our labrador this week! The main room and bathroom were both very spacious, with lots of natural light from the windows which was nice. Great location — we explored both the Lake District and The Yorkshire Dales during our stay.

Stopped for a quick drink, great service.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in one of the Swiss style lodges which was very clean and well presented. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was superb. The venue itself is fantastic; on the door step of the Lake District and only a short drive to Lake Windemere. The Swiss style lodges are dog friendly which was a huge bonus for us. (Recommend you book direct with the venue (whpl. Uk) as certain third-party booking sites don't make it clear which lodges allow dogs). We'll definitely be heading back at some point!

Me and my husband stayed in pine lodge with our lab who had never been away before and had a fantastic time. The lodge was spotlessly clean with everything you need. We went into the restaurant bar in the evening with our lab and was made to feel really comfortable. The staff are all lovely and are happy to help.
We will definitely be returning soon.

Superb base to explore the lakes from. Our cabin was beautiful and perfect for a family of 4 with young children. My husband was so relaxed, he literally couldn’t stay awake Main hotel staff were very friendly and the food including breakfast was lovely. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely perfect! Just spent 2 nights in the Cedar lodge, Immaculately clean, spacious & so peaceful. Every room was immaculate, the beds had white linen sheets on, the spa bath was lovely & sauna was perfect. We will definitely be back. 5

Lovely place! We stayed 2 nights in the hotel and the room was spot on. Nice tranquil area and easy to drive to windermere and ambelside. Very dog friendly and our pooch enjoyed the stay as much as us. It got a little stuffy in our room in the hot weather but when we raised this with reception they provided us with a fan. Can't rave about the food in the restaurant enough. First night my partner had steak which was cooked to perfection. I had the burger and it was delicious. Desserts where to die for also. Breakfast in the morning was also plentiful and probably the nicest cooked breakfast we have ever had. Food prices incredibly reasonable considering the quality and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Would love to come back and try the lodges.

Stunning location in very tranquil area. Superb evening meals and substantial breakfast. Large bedrooms with lots of storage. Friendly staff … pine lodges to rent and touring caravan park. Moderately priced.

Superb place to relax. Our second visit. First was in the Hotel, dinner bed and breakfast. Delicious food and great value. This time we stayed in a Pine Lodge. Everything you need and more for self catering including Sauna and Jacuzzi. We again used the hotel restaurant for our evening meals, so good. For us, visiting from Thailand, just a great place to stay in the Lakes.

The large lodge that we have spent the time in was sooo nice. It had a large bath with jacuzzi and a sauna room. It was very clean and kitchen was well equipped. Worth every penny. Being given tokens for electricity is a bit of a hassle as you have to keep on going to reception to get more and watch out not to run out while you in the sauna or jacuzzi. But that's the only thing that could be improved. The location is great. Not to far away to shops (by car).

Really great place, so happy to have found them. Clean lodges, sauna, Jacuzzi, place for kids to play and adults to eat.

Absolutely adored every minute of my stay here. Location perfect for a relaxing retreat from the chaos of daily life. Ideal to get to Windemere and other nearby places, though I do recommend going in a car. Inside of lodges equipped with everything you could need for a week's stay or longer. Beds extremely comfortable. Staff friendly and accommodating. I shall definitely be back! Thank you to all staff! x.

Wow, what a great base, nice log cabin, sauna, Jacuzzi bath, clean warm and nice people. Oh kids say no DVD player, ha, no big deal. Thanks. Ours is the elm cabin, its awesome.

Excellent food and very helpful staff. Lovely surroundings. 5 minutes walk from the Caravan park. Recommended for a visit.

Lovely place, food good staff very friendly, only criticism was my final bill on checking it I noticed I had been over charged tried to email but ignored? Would not go here again!

Situated in beautiful woods very peaceful. The hotel very convenient for breakfast or dinner a few minute walk.

First impressions good everything what we expected to look like until closer inspection facilities not up to scratch ie
Shower has no shelves for shampoo/shower gel
No hooks on bathroom door for hanging clothes
No power sockets near the mirrors in bedroom
No drawers in bedrooms
No constant hot water had to wait an hour each time we wanted hot water
Broken bathroom handle
These might seem petty to some people but for the price we paid we expected better.

Food was excellent. Reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow. Limited choice for children's menu.

Service was fine, food was good. Dessert in particular was very nice.

We have just returned from a few days staying in one of the log cabins. We were very impressed with the whole package. The cabin was a good size and very clean. Also had a small sauna and a whirlpool bath! I wouldn't say it was really a family stay, more of a quiet retreat which is ideal for visiting local places and the lakes. Loved it.

Such a beautiful welcome on arrival, the chalet was spotless I couldn't fault anything about this place just so sorry to leave but will without doubt be returning for another fab weekend break.

What a lovely friendly place, the staff are lovely and I was made to feel very much at home. I was quite ill during my stay in mid July this year and all the staff where kind and concerned about my welfare. Only a few days after my departure from the hotel I had an unexpected need for accommodation urgently and Steve and the staff were only to willing to come to my rescue at very short notice. I would recommend The Pine Lodges whole heartedly to anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming place to stay. The restaurant food is first class and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, with a small bar that the locals seem to love is a delight. Guys I would give you ten stars if I could. Well done. A lovely place to stay for a quet weekend. We stayed at the yew lodge which ia near the hotel. The lodge itself was lovely (a shame there was no sauna), you get everything you may need (a washing maschine, a dishwasher, an iron, dishes etc. ) You are allowed to do barbeques as long as its not on the decking and you bring yiur own equipment. The only dolwnside was the fans in the hotel that were a bit loud, for a light sleeper they may be an issue. Overall a great place to stay in.

Brilliant and clean, for a dog friendly place to stay the pine lodges have been kept to a great standard, clean and tidy. The Lodges have a kitchen with everything you need, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, kettle and a small fridge freezer all pots, pans, plates and cutlery included even a bread bin. Bath/spa and sauna included. Wifi allowance terrible and also no child's play area is the only reason it dropped a star. We had food at the hotel on the first night it was lovely, service was great. The bottom of the lake Fell Foot was only 10 mins in a car and Grange Over Sands was also about 15mins away! Definitely will return!
