We had a wonderful stay at The Mount. Fantastic location. Great spot for walks direct from the door. Also a short drive to the start of Skiddaw and close to Keswick too. Room was lovely and comfortable with a great view of Derwentwater. Caroline and Clive were perfect hosts, very friendly, lots of tips and advice for walks and great breakfasts too. We will definitely be back!
Perfectly located just 10 mins walk to Keswick centre with stunning views of Derwentwater from our attic room no. 5. Clive and Caroline are superb hosts, ultra friendly andhelpful in so many ways and providing a utterly relaxed atmosphere.
For active guests, the breakfast will set up perfectly and your adventures are rewarded with tea and home-made cake in front of a roaring fire, what's not to like?!

Honestly the most beautiful, welcoming, comfortable B+B we’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely gorgeous. Caroline and Clive are truly lovely hosts who greeted us with warm smiles and tea and cake. Their spacious home is really lovely, filled with intriguing pieces of artwork (many amazing paintings of the local area). Our room was beautifully decorated and had so many thoughtful touches including treats, a blanket and shampoo for our dog and lovely locally produced toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was a jolly, chatty, relaxing experience with delicious food including homemade jams and marmalade’s. The location of The Mount is stunning and perfect for walking and lake based activities. The short walk to Keswick is really pleasant and provides incredible views. We’re already planning our next stay! 🤗🤗🤗
