Very nice friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast all top quality ingredients. Evening meal superb. Were looked after during our 3 night stay! Room was comfortable everything considered including an honesty bar! Not that we needed it but good thinking. Look forward to returning!

Had a lovely lunch here for my sons 22nd birthday! The steak was perfect, lovely chips and a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Lovely service and a super friendly atmosphere. We will be back, thank you very much.

Amazing stay here with my best pal. The hotel, restaurant and staff are faultless. The rooms are very modern and have all the amenities you would need. The food was amazing. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Had a wonderful meal here recently. In particular, the pork belly Bao bun was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! The restaurant was busy, which didn’t bother me as it’s nice to see places getting back on their feet and the servers were really friendly. Thank you for the wonderful food and great service.

Fabulous weekend stay at the Sally. Fantastic food and varied menu. The crispy duck especially was to die for! Excellent decor throughout. Lovely rooms with nespresso machine and everything you need. Great outdoor seating area. Wonderful owners and staff who made our stay extra special. Thank guys. Loved it!

We’ve just spent the night at The Sally. What a stunning hotel. So tastefully decorated. Beautiful touches which I suspect would be even better if it wasn’t for Covid. The room was spotlessly clean and the very large bed in Eden was extremely comfortable.
All members of staff we came into contact with were very friendly and attentive.
Dinner was fantastic. The chilli and garlic prawns were the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Lasagne also very good and hubby loved his duck.
Breakfast was also lovely.
The whole stay was incredible value for money. We will recommend and will definitely be back.

Fantastic pub. Just re-opened last night and it’s done a great job of making it Covid safe, details taken, alcohol gel everywhere, table service and well spaced out
Oh and gorgeous food.

We have just had our take away Sunday lunch and it was absolutely lovely thank you so much. It was you usual good quality fresh veg but in the comfort off our home. Making the best of a bad situation, once your back open we can’t wait to dine in again.

Went for lunch, staff were friendly and helpful, beer (Wainright on tap) was great, good choice of food, highly recommend the Sally and will definitely be going again.

Had a lovely meal at the Sally this evening. Given a choice of 3 vegan options — the meat less meat balls were delicious! hubby also enjoyed his lamb. Will definitely eat there again.

A hidden gem in the Cumbrian Countryside. I visited here on Saturday night with two friends for dinner. A warm & friendly welcome from all the staff. The decor was stunning, a relaxed atmosphere in the bar/lounge, to enjoy our wine & beer whilst choosing from a varied menu to suit all tastes. Fillet Steak topped with Haggis & Crispy Duck were our choices. Excellent service throughout our delicious meal. I would highly recommend a visit.

What a wonderful hotel. The staff are so friendly, from the moment we arrived a greeting with a smile. The food is excellent and rooms are comfortable and spotless. I will definitely be here again.

Four of us had lunch today and can’t remember enjoying a meal as much! My pork belly was extraordinary and everyone enjoyed his/her food as much as me! The menu is extensive and I could have picked many of the offerings.
The service of the young ladies was also excellent! Thank you.

What can I say… Lovely invite, made feel very welcome, room absolutely lovely, very modern with tea/coffee milk etc at your needs. Beautiful bathroom with bath and shower toilet and extremely clean. Towels and toiletries if required. Lovely friendly management, bar with good choice of drinks. Had dinner following day (empty plates) very nice food. What more can I say except go and try yourself as I will be back at some point. Thank you.

Exceeded my expectations. Really nicely designed room with good amenities and really great food in the restaurant. Had a tasty pea and mint soup followed by the lasagna that came with garlic bread, salad, coleslaw and chips. Everyone who worked there really friendly.

We booked a table here on the 11/04/18 and we had booked the table for 7:30pm we went to sit at a table ready for our meal and was asked to move by the manageress and sit in the bar so we did after waiting an hour we still had no idea what was happening no communication from management or staff customers were coming in after us and we getting seated straight away for their meal and still no communication to ourselves on how long our meal would be after an hour we decided to leave and go somewhere else there was no apologies from staff or management would never go back and never recommend going there to anyone because it seems even if you book a table it doesn't matter to the management not happy at all.

Went here for father in laws 60th birthday meal today. Faultless! From the cajun chicken to the fish, the food was quality. Service good. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. Great staff and decor very high standard. Would recommend and hope you open on boxing day.
