We have recently been on one of Mannings Date Nights. The accommodation was in one of their apartments. It was beautiful and well equipped. Everything you need with car parking right outside in the secure car park. Very comfortable nights sleep, you would have no idea you were in the heart of Truro. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Complimentary cocktails from the bar included and a credit to eat in the restaurant.
Bar staff are expert at making a huge range of cocktails, even with an extensive list, they are happy to make any cocktail you would like. The food in the restaurant was superb! Fantastic menu choice and every course lived up to expectations. Silly thing to say but food was piping hot when served, so important for me. Staff again were outstanding. Breakfast was also fantastic with great choice. Wonderful weekend stay in Truro.

Stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday. The room was just what we required with a very comfortable bed! The bathroom was very clean although midway through a shower one morning the water pressure went resulting in the water disappearing! This wasn’t ideal but after 5 or so minutes the water came back again. We had continental breakfast each morning which was of good variety and quality. I order poached eggs on toast each morning which were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend Mannings Hotel. It was easy to find and is very central. Parking is excellent too.

I have been staying at Mannings on and off for several weeks now. I have found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The food is very good. Even at this time of the year, they have been busy. So make your reservations as early as possible. I would suggest that Mannings would probably not be very suitable for children. I would like to say a big thank you to Martin, in reception, he has been extremely helpful. To Nancy for being so attentive, at breakfast. Also to Jeanette and the chamber maids efficient and friendly. A special word to Lynn, Sam and Gwen would be very proud of you.

Visited Mannings for drinks with some friends. No place to sit or stand in bar area, so asked if we could sit at a table with the restaurant area. No one sitting in the nearby tables. We were informed no, as we are getting tables ready for breakfast. There were plenty staff on standing round, so I am sure it wouldn’t have taken them very long to prepare the table after we finished our drinks. Felt very disappointed by the staffs manner. Quick enough to take your money. Live locally and shall not be returning or nor will our guests.

Food was absolutely delicious as well as the cocktails. The service was excellent. Will be going back again. Best meal that we have had out in a while.

Depending on your luck you may get a miserable small room such that your bum hits the shower wall when you try to shave at the sink. Don't rely on them to wake you up with the booked alarm call. If you happen to feel hungry and want room service after 9pm be prepared to go for a walk and find a takeaway yourself. Showers can be temperamental with maintaining constant temperature. The TV is a miserable small one, hung high on the bed room wall. Lighting in the room is dated, very bright. The LED bed side lights give out miserable colour of light. Rooms are not air conditioned. Pleasant enough otherwise. Bar has nice atmosphere. The other hotel in Truro, the Alverton, is better.

Lunch in the reasonably busy restaurant was good. The decor and lighting are relaxed and contemporary. The staff were attentive the dirty napkin at my place setting was replaced unapologetically. I had Thai green chicken curry which was very good, and my friends enjoyed their burger and tempura fish. Portion sizes seemed over generous to me. The puddings were delicious.

Visited for lunch and it was excellent. Food was delicious, really big menu to chose from and they had a gluten free menu for my sister. Everything was very reasonably priced. It's expensive for Truro, but not compared to London for example. Staff were very friendly. Really lovely people. All round a great lunchtime visit.

Wonderful hotel right in the centre of a great little city. The historic building has been sensitively converted to the highest standards; our room was spacious, luxurious, and quiet, with a great view over the rooftops of Truro. The staff were professional, courteous and friendly throughout. I've paid much more elsewhere for an inferior experience. Breakfast was a bit too formal for my liking, but the food answer service was perfect.

Smallish rooms. But perfectly clean and presentable. Lovely staff. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. A sparse offering of continental options is included, with pricey additions for cooked additions. I wasn't offered a second cup of coffee either.

Went for a birthday meal with 15 people. Booked for ahead of time. What a fantastic meal. One of the nicest I've had to date. Food was fantastic (blackened squid, Stilton steak, dark chocolate pistachio tart) wine was lovely (pinot), and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back.

A great hotel, very comfortable. Only 4 stars due to a few incidents which spoilt my stay, firstly the restaurant being closed due to some of the guests having a mystery illness the staff did however deal with the situation very well. Second reason, it's very noisy in the morning whether that be the nesting gulls on the surrounding roofs or the cleaners coven that seemed to camp outside my room discussing heat magazine.

I have stayed in the apartments many times over a period of 12 years and cannot fault them. The staff are very friendly, dinner in the restaurant is really good, there's secure parking for your car right in the centre of Truro, and when you wander out on foot you are right next to all of the shops. The apartments have a kitchen, lounge area, shower room and bedroom which are all beautifully decorated on the ground or first floor. I always enjoy going back to the Mannings.

Fantastic dining experience. My 12 year old son said it was the best good that he had ever tasted. Service, food and drinks were great could not fault Mannings at all. We make a point of visiting the restaurant every time we are in Truro Can't wait for our next visit.

Very nice hotel and restaurant. Staff, without exception, very friendly and helpful. Lovely food in the restaurant, nice cocktails. Good sized room, although a bit noisy with the ever-present seagulls in Truro, but that's hardly the fault of the hotel. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. If circumstance permits we will be back.

Mannings is right in the centre of Truro with old fashioned hospitality in modern surroundings. Comfortable rooms and great food with caring staff.

Well presented hotel and staff. Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Good amenities and food was very good. Polite staff on every interaction, even the cheery cleaner! Central location but has a good size car park. I'll make this my hotel of choice when visiting Truro.

It's a lovely hotel, we've been here a few times over the years. The range of cocktails is stunning and the food is outstanding. Geoff can't wait for his Cornish breakfast, including white (hogs) pudding.

Stayed at Manning Hotel, in Truro, for 4 nights in March 2016. Considering the £85 per night and £6 per night for parking, I expected a very nice hotel. I was very disappointed to find the room to be very small and the standard of the room far lower than Premier Inn, which cost me £36 per night, a week earlier, in Llandudno, and I didn't have to pay for parking. The restaurant food was average, but extremely expensive. When raised the issues with the receptionist, when leaving, I was told the reason was because the hotel was not part of a chain. I failed to see the link. Staff were very friendly and helpful. In summary, if you are in Truro and don't want to pay a lot of money, for less than Travel Lodge standard, look for another hotel — may be a nice B&B.

Apartment was stunning with Queen Sized bed, food was great. Would advise a visit.

Great hotel, needs a seagull detergent though.

I stay in hotels all over the country on business as was the case here, and this place was the worst experience. A pokey little room, awful food, no room in the bars. The service was OK though. There is a cark park, but it is tiny, I had to wait to park, walk around the hotel onto the main street to access the place, AND THEN THEY CHARGED ME! As for the price to stay. There are much much better hotels very close for the same money or just a little more.
