We stayed 4 nights. Ideally located within walking distance of At Austell and driving distances to beautiful Cornwall. Our room was airy with ensuite bathroom (great shower) and a very comfortable king size bed. All the staff were friendly and informative. Food was delicious, huge portions. Gardens are stunning. All in all I had the best time at the Waterwheel. Well worth considering! Dog friendly.

A magical place from where you can easily visit a gorgeous part of Cornwall. We had a stunning weather weekend also with a concert from Eden Sessions… one of the best holidays I remember!

Great food great service. Tag line of good food prepared well certainly accurate. Sea bream excellent. A bit quirky, dont expect fast expect good.

Lovely setting with lovely gardens and patio area. Had an excellent meal in the evening at very reasonable price. The bar is well stocked. Breakfast is included and your hosts certainly don't skimp, you won't want lunch that's for sure. All in all very enjoyable and owners (and dog) very friendly.

Very nice meal on Valentine's night, portion's probably too large but the overall meal was very tasty.

Always a warm welcome, especially by Kernow the black Lab! A lovely venue all year round and a great menu, booking is recommended.

I visited The Waterwheel last night whilst staying in St Austell for work, the food here was absolutely delicious and all five of us in our party were very pleased with our meals I would certainly recommend the breaded Brie and the burger. Highly recommended and we will certainly be telling our colleagues about it on our return to Bristol as a suggested place to dine, the prices were very reasonable for what you got as well. Keep up the good work.

Seven of us enjoyed a very enjoyable stay at the Waterwheel. The rooms are a little small but everything is provided that you need. The food is very good, portion sizes huge.

Lovely warm welcome, had a lovely meal here. The garden is very nice, ponds, waterfall & out side space is great just to sit & listen to the trickling water. To eat I had the smoked samon & goats cheese on toast, chicken with bacon & cheese sauce & chocolate fudge cake with clotted cream. Service is very good & friendly. We were a table of 7, Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A very relaxed atmosphere with great good. The gardens are a real treat. Waterfall and ponds create a beautiful ambiance. Well with a visit.

Having just returned from spending three nights at The Waterwheel, we can only say how impressed we were. Everything about this place smacks of quality, our room, the restaurant, the wonderful garden and especially our hosts and their staff. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay next year.

We only stayed one night but completely loved this place. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the room was very tidy and clean. Also had a tour of the very impressive and beautiful garden they've created here from Kernow the dog!

The Waterwheel is situated in a perfect place for visiting the Eden project. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Our room was beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and bedding immaculate. The en-suit is small but has everything you need, making the most of the space with toilet, basin and shower. We were given lots of choice for breakfast, my sausage and bacon was good quality and delicious. Definitely value for money to stay here.

Amazing location for some local walks and exploration. The B&B is secluded enough to make you feel a million miles from anything, yet walking distance to the town. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, only disturbed by bird and owl song. :-) Some great local beers stocked and delicious food, even for me as a veggie. Will come again! Thanks! J.

Really enjoyed my stay here. A warm welcome form your hosts including Kernow the gorgeous Black Labrador! The food was lovely and the Banoffee Waffle desert gets a massive OMG! Great Breakfast in the conservatory looking out to the garden which will amazing in the summer. Can't wait to return.

Fantastic hosts in beautiful surroundings. The accommodation is tastefully done and superbly clean. The best part is the food, which is varied and incredible value. Always look forward to staying here!
